When the feed starts, it reveals a solemn looking young lady, holding herself as regally as possible. When she speaks, it is with deliberate politeness.]


Hello. This is the Lady Sansa Stark of Winterfell speaking. I seem to be your newest arrival. I must deliver my kindest thanks for the welcoming gifts, as well as the communication device. The materials inside proved to be most helpful.

I, however, am not quite sure what I am expected to do from here. I would be more than happy to assist in anyway I can, as it seems newcomers are expected to do. I would also like to get to know all of you.

[Mikasa didn't really pay much attention to this until she realized the woman just said her name was "Sansa Stark". Wait... Sansa...? Wasn't that...?

[ Sansa visibly freezes, her composure slipping away. Armin is hardly a common name. ]

[A couple minutes into her conversation, Mikasa will receive a text from Armin - something he's never done with her before, but he doesn't want to hang up on Sansa until he reaches her.]

[Armin freezes when he hears that voice, then drops whatever he's holding and scrambles for his communicator. He stares at the screen, disbelieving, his breath shaky. For a long minute, he does nothing - already devastated over losing Eren again, the hope he feels upon seeing her again is almost too much. It's likely she won't even recognize him - and he's not sure he can take that right now.

After about five attempts, moving his hand to turn on the video but finding he just can't do it, he closes his eyes. Taking a deep breath, he swallows hard, then turns on the feed - trying to look as calm and composed as possible.]

S-Sansa...?

[He meant to say something more, but his mouth doesn't seem to be working. He looks pale and scared, still half wondering if this is a dream - or a nightmare.]

[ It hasn't been nearly as long for her as it has for him, but the vision of him makes her smile. ...Only for a moment though, as she's quick to notice the state of the Armin. The smile quickly turns to a look of harsh concern, and she frowns back at the image of him.]

Armin? Are you alright?

[He all but collapses in relief, as his legs seem to turn to jelly. There's a loud thud as his knees hit the floor, but he doesn't even seem to notice, his cheeks already wet with tears.]

I d-didn't... I didn't th-think I'd ever s-see you again. And then when y-you arrived. [He takes a few more shaky breaths - both smiling and crying openly now. His next sentence is almost a whisper.] When I s-saw you were h-here, I was s-so afraid you wouldn't r-recognize me.

[ that's a compliment, but he has to wonder what sort of life she's led where being stolen away to a foreign realm is something one handles with grace. ]

I've done something similar before. [ It doesn't sound like he's demanding an explanation, but she figures she'll offer him one anyway. ]

It is a pleasure to meet you, your Grace. [ The bit about not knowing what to expect turns her stomach a little, because while being a Traveler had provided it's fair supply of horrors, at least she had known what was expected of her. ] Forgive me, but that sounds... too easy.

[ a chuckle, because sometimes things around here are far too quiet for a kidnapping situation. eight months into his stay, and that still bothers him. ] But easy doesn't mean it's quiet or safe. Fayren and Attleton are currently experiencing some... difficulties. You're better off sticking to the main city until those matters have been tended to.

I'm rather new myself but so far everyone seems rather accommodating and nice towards newcomers. It might be a little disorienting.

As much as I seem to bear the bad news... Don't adventure into Everglade after dark, don't pick a fight with a non-human in Fayren, and watch for flying cars in Nova. It would be best to seek familiar faces first. That should only take a few minutes before finding food, shelter, and employment becomes a more important goal.

Actually, your manners do take me back to a time... [A bit of a pause.] With such polite manners, there are probably several jobs you could look into even without previous experience.

Do you really believe so? [ That startles her- she's never worked before, unless you count being an Investigator. But if this place encourages her to try, she will try. ] That is a relief to hear, that I may have some chance. I was most worried.

Not many have that much luck, I'm glad. The name is Bridget, actually. It's been a very long time since anyone has called me kind but... that is a story for a different time.

There tends to be a wide range of opportunities for any sort of skill set as long as one puts in the effort. I believe there's an employment office somewhere with a current listing of offered jobs if a person doesn't have the confidence or funding to start something on their own. I'm not sure if Fai is still hiring but his cafe is a good place to start if you don't mind getting stuck with a cute nickname.

You know Armin? I'm glad. He deserves as many familiar faces as he can get in this place. There is only a little bit of warning when a person arrives, usually a pair of wet feet and many questions. But there is nothing to show when a person leaves except when they no longer respond to direct transmissions. It would be wise to consider every hour here your last even after months or years.
