[ On waking in the pod, Lucy was admittedly very.. disoriented. It wasn't her apartment back home OR in that other world she'd been in for a year. MOreover, Natsu wasn't with her like usual. Or Levy, or Erza. But maybe they'd gone to scout ahead? ]

[ No, she was sure Natsu would have waited. After looking over the items left with her and familiarizing herself with the new equipment (thankfully she was familiar enough with a thing like that so it didn't take long for her to understand), she slipped out of the pod, searching around the Bay first, before heading out to the city.

Boy did she hope her friends were here somewhere. One can find Lucy exploring/scouting around not far from the Bay, her videophone in hand. ]

[ It isn't long after she's digested all the information she was given before she fussed with the videophone enough to turn it on to broadcast a question. ]

[So Erza had gone home as well. Luckily Lucy was on point to ask what was the last thing she remembered.]

[He didn't see why Lucy would tell Erza to get a key to their room since there was a perfectly free room available already since the keeper had said there were two rooms with two beds.]

[Because it's cheaper, Natsu and you didn't really think she'd leave you two alone together, did you? Erza walks away from the pair to retrieve a key whilst talking.]

I was about to leave with Mira to protect the ex-Chairman. Then I woke up here.

What about the two of you?

[ So cruel, Natsu.

And well yeah it's cheape- hey! HEY! It's not like... something would HAPPEN if they were left alone, Erza! ...nevermind that things tend to when they're alone BUT ... uh. YEAH. Erza would never have let them stay in the room alone. ]

I just arrived at one of the ex-Councillor's house with Natsu and Wendy, but before the demon Natsu told us about, showed up. Natsu, you're.. from a little after me right?

[ Or did he go past what happened after he got ... hurt, by Jackal? ]

[What about the evil mage they were supposed to supervise? Oh well. Guess he's sleeping on the floor after all.]

[He frowns faintly at the mention of his point in time.]

Yeah. A catty bastard who called himself Jackal and said he was the one who blew up the magic council and killed everyone there.

[Don't mind the minor intrusion as a short dark-haired woman cuts around the edge... with a platypus on her head. It cost her way more than she'd like to admit, and she's rather attached to it, so for now it's kind of going everywhere with her (and by the noises it's making, it's alive and more than happy to go around in this fashion). Mostly, she's coming in to check with the innkeeper that the strange event that had happened hadn't affected commerce too much - she's doing it with a few of the main businesses here, just to make sure they're okay - but it's after she's passed the group that she realises it wasn't so long ago that she saw one of them on the feed.

Just let her hang in the background to see if they need help or anything.... and maybe just to be a little bit nosy. Maybe. Made a definite possibility by the fact she puts a finger to the innkeeper's lips and shushes them before taking a seat.

[What in the world is that hat? Oh wait! It isn't a hat at all, which just makes it all the more weird. Erza wants to ask about it but maybe it's fashionable in this world.]

[ There's nothing like a woman with a platypus on her head to throw someone off her train of thought. Like Lucy, for example, who - on God's arrival - gets completely distracted by the sight of the odd animal and odd woman.

Gosh. She'd fit right in at Fairy Tail, wouldn't she? ]

Um... is..that....?

[Hearing that ERza is from further down the line, Natsu has one question in mind. Unfortunately for him it dies down instantly when he sees that odd looking creature and it's owner. There's something off about the woman's scent though. Not wrong though. Just...off. Still they have that cute little guy on their head so they can't possibly be a bad person.]

Woah that little guy looks like a duck but with the tail of a beaver. That's so cool!

[Natsu Dragneel. Master of subtlety!]

[She has to chuckle at Natsu's subtlety (or lack thereof), before she pulls out her comm, and types out a quick message. It goes to all three of them, though it's clearly meant for Natsu's comment.]

It's a platypus. I'm glad you like him, I find them delightful creatures.

[Plus the fact that it kind of sums up her sense of humour. They're hilarious little things.]

[After reading the message Erza comes to the conclusion that the girl must dislike speaking to strangers or that she's mute.]

Is that fashionable attire in this region?

[Genuine curiosity over here. She might have to get one.]

[ Lucy giggled quietly at Natsu's total lack of subtlety. She really couldn't expect anything less from him, especially considering the scene. When she got the message, though, she was more akin to believe that the other woman was mute. ]

[ Erza's suggestion that a platypus might be the attire here... gets a bit of a stare. ]

..N..No way!

[ A glance to God, and she grins . ]

It's... a pet, right? What's his-- her.... it's name?

[He didn't expect a text message as an answer but hey it's valid either way.]

A platypus? Never heard of one. These guys live around here?

[Because he may be tempted to tame one of his own.]

Yes. It's both a pet and a hat, and while rather pricey is the height of a local trend. Though, you're not restricted to just this little one. You can do it with any creature that would stay.

[And if it does become a thing after this? She's going to just sit in the middle of the forest, laughing her head off. Just so you know.]

There is none in the wild. [And despite being a text, it seems to convey disappointment perfectly. before the perky follow-up of:] But apparently, you can buy them. [It just... took all of her wages for this month. And a little extra. Whoops. At least she doesn't have rent to make?]
