OPEN LOG
WHO: Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun cast + anyone else
WHAT: Housewarming party!
WHERE: The Manga House in Genessia
WHEN: In the afternoon, around 2pm
Surprise everyone! There's a new house that's come on the block of Genessia and the inside looks like this!
Nozaki has sent out invites to everyone and has cooked a wonderful little traditional Japanese meal for everyone that comes over. Most of this is to celebrate the release of his manga and to celebrate their new home. He looks excited as he's cleaning and everything once everyone gets situated inside "The Manga House".
"Everyone, I hope you're ready for all of our visitors today." he paused, going to take his apron off and put it into the kitchen, "Mikoshiba, no hiding. Kashima, if you have to, take him under your wing while you socialize. Hori, make sure no one is stealing things from our house and no one goes upstairs to our rooms. Mayu, stick by Mikoshiba or me if you want to. I'm not that worried about you honestly. You usually know what to do."
He clapped his hands together, "Okay! We're all set then."

Open to All the People (aka: Kashima will greet you on arrival, period.)
The closeness, enthusiasm and word choice would be uncomfortably over the top if she weren't so genuine about it. She's in your face, and if you don't immediately shy away she's probably touching too--hair, shoulders, cheeks too. Kashima is just too friendly for her own good.
"Hi! Welcome to the party!"
Hi I'm here to ruin everything
But that wasn't what he was concerned with right now. They were at a party, and Hori was here. If this was a dating sim, this would be Kashima's best opportunity to advance her relationship with Hori. Maybe he'd even refrain from kicking her.
"Kashima, have you seen Hori-senpai around lately?"
no subject
It's so easy to tease him. But his outfit actually gives her pause. Should she not have worn slacks? The thought crosses her mind quickly, and she moves on because he's still talking and she ought to be listening. Even though she says nothing on the thought, she does smooth the front of her pants just the same, the action possibly giving away that the thought has occurred to her.
"Seen Hori-senpai? Of course I have. We leave for work about the same time, most days."
no subject
The praise made him feel better. But now he was blushing, and anyone in the room could see that. He inhaled loudly, covering half his face with his hand, and tried to turn away so no one else could see. This wasn't the time to get distracted!
He should have expected her oblivious reply, but he still grunted in annoyance. At least she wasn't as bad as Nozaki, and gave Hori more than enough attention.
"I meant at the party. I bet he looks really cool!"
no subject
She similarly fiddles with her outfit. If Yuu Kashima was prone to being embarrassed, it would show more overtly--flushed cheeks and uncertain glances. Instead, it's rarely obvious and often nearly impossible to tell when she's anything other than a ray of confidence. It's in subtle cues: fiddling with her hair is more a sign of her feeling as if she's being watched and is thus nervous than the playful gesture it typically is viewed as, much like the careful pressing of the fabric of her clothing is more a sign of self-doubt than it is an attempt to ensure she's still looking presentable.
It's in the little things, which is fairly ironic for a person who does things quite as grandiosely as she.
"I haven't seen him yet," she replies calmly. One hand fingers a stray piece of hair, brushing it from her forehead. "He always looks cool, Mikoshiba--of course he'll look cool for a party!"
no subject
So he did what a good friend would do and smiled, speaking enthusiastically. "But you look really good Kashima! I was right to choose you as my rival! When Hori-senpai gets here, you're going to completely outshine him." Might as well multitask and try to get her fired up with a compliment made toward her at the other person's expense. He was still smiling as good-naturedly as he could while examining her thoughtfully with his eyes.
no subject
Ultimately, Mikoshiba's compliment hasn't fired her up whatsoever. Instead, she shifts and crosses her arms. "It's not proper to outshine your senpai, Mikoshiba."
The end result is that her comment sounds equally as awkward out loud as it did in her head. There's a few second lag, before she nearly stomps her foot in exaggerated frustration--almost as if she realizes that she's nearly given her own nerves away. "That's not going to work! I can't outshine senpai! Not even if I wanted to. Don't be so silly, Mikoshiba!"
no subject
His hands drop back to his sides, before he shoves them in his pockets awkwardly. "Oh. Yeah."
He almost forgets his goal as he starts to get worked up over his disrespectful comment made toward Hori. He should have known better! Kashima was right, he should have felt ashamed! But-- Kashima's footstomp causes him to jump, snapping him out of his own thoughts and second-guessing. He narrows his eyes almost accusingly. He had almost lost there. Kashima wasn't arguing with him out of respect for Hori. Well, maybe that was partially it, but there was more to it than that. Mikoshiba held a lot of respect for traditions and rules, but in situations like this, some traditions had to be overlooked. He nods firmly, pretending to look deep in thought by frowning and staring at the floor.
"But you do! You look really cool, Kashima. It's not your fault. But--" With an exaggerated gasp, he looked her over again and pointed at her. "It's the slacks! This is a casual party, and you look really formal and princely. Maybe if you wore a skirt, you'd look more casual and Hori-senpai would stand out like he's supposed to!"
no subject
Realistically Kashima can get swept up in the excitement of a situation very easily. Mikoshiba's enthusiasm is enough to bring her along--and since the idea of not looking so 'princely' fits well with the idea of not out shining Hori-senpai, she can get behind his antics.
"I never even thought about that." After all, outside of work and school she almost always wears pants. Even when choosing a skirt she wears shorts, now more out of habit than anything else. "If you really think that will help..."
She's clearly convinced enough, as she abandons her post by the door to head to the stairs.
no subject
He bit his lip to refrain from squealing when she headed up the stairs. Unknown to Kashima, he had gone into her room to "borrow" something, and in the process accidentally misplaced all her pants and more professional skirts... They were actually safe in a locker he used at one of his jobs, but he had left her with one option: the shortest skirt of hers he could find. He had even considered outright buying her a new, cute one, but that would have been too obvious. If Hori cared as much about legs as he claimed, there was no way he could ignore Kashima's.
He was so caught up in his excitement, he forgot Kashima had left, which left him out in the open without her to hide behind. Feeling nervous, he felt his face turn hot and squeezed his eyes shut, yelling.
"H-hurry up and come back down!!!"
no subject
"M-Mikoshiba!" Kashima is whispering, but it's more of a stage whisper than anything else--far too loud to really be kept to herself. "There's a problem. Come here! "
When he comes up, he'll find her standing in her room, arms crossed uncomfortably. She's changed into a skirt as instructed and--as she always does--has a pair of shorts under. But now, the hem of the shorts are clearly visible under the hem of the skirt.
Kashima tugs the skirt down slightly. "I don't think this is right. M-maybe one if Chiyo-chan's skirts got mixed up with mine after she went home and we moved. I can't wear this!"
Yeah. She's not just a little nervous. There's an actual flush to her cheeks now, however slight. "Everything else must be in the laundry..."

This means that she arrives in uniform; her usual mostly white uniform under a navy blue jacket (though worn on her shoulders because coat cloaks are cool) and hat with a Shield emblem upon it. Most importantly, of course, there is a long giftbox under her arm.
BY THE WAY, the moment her personal space is invaded, she would block it forcing said box into the woman's arms. Uh.. Or is it a guy's arms. Whatever!
no subject
Kashima smiles widely. It's before Mikoshiba
coercessuggests that she changes, so it's still unclear if the blue-haired figure at the door is male or female. Her voice doesn't quite give her away, either. She offers a hand to take the coat cloak, the other hand gesturing to the coat rack. "May I take you coat, princess?"
Yes. That came out completely unironically. She looks very serious about it, too. "Thank you for coming to our housewarming party! It was Nozaki-kun's idea."
no subject
very thickbrow. ".. Satsuki Kiryuin." she corrects as she hands her jacket over. "I am afraid I am unfamiliar with all the momembers of this household- I'd like clarification on your relationship with Nozaki."no subject
"Hello, thank you for coming to our home. I hope you enjoy your stay and if you need anything, please let us know." Here! Let him hand you some cake. He is so tall and plain looking that the ears might make him even more awkward. At least he's being polite and smiling.
no subject
"Satsuki," Mayu says with a barely perceptible smile."I'm glad you could make it."
"This is my older brother,Umetarou" he says indicating the boy wearing bunny ears. He's the actual owner of the house. The family resemblance is rather obvious. This is the older brother that protected Mayu from bullies.
He points to Kashima.
"Yuu Kashima, a friend. Brother's high school friend."
He wants to introduce his boyfriend, but Mikoto might be intimidated.
no subject
He hides pretty obviously behind the two Nozaki's, hoping Mayu's height and Nozaki's bunny ears will distract from his presence. He occasionally glances at her before stepping out, suddenly a lot more intent on looking at the floor.
"Thank you for coming. Please, enjoy yourself!"
no subject
Mayu isn't far behind; the moment he arrived if anyone had sensed any sort of tensity from her before, it's faded some at this point. "I am glad to have the opportunity to meet everyone at once- I had little idea your group had grown so much since we last met." meant in a 'good for you' manner, of course.
Ah, and then Mikoto. The height of the brothers can only do so much as the red-head's nervousness is far too simple for her to pick up on. Rather than draw attention to it, she pretends not to notice for the time being. "Satsuki Kiryuin; I am the current Guardian of Nova City." she offers her hand to shake, then speaks to everyone. "Nozaki Mayu and I met last year at a Halloween party; he was dressed as Sanshiro Sugata- I was quite impressed with his choice of costume. Not long after that I asked him to teach judo to one of my younger associates. You must be proud to have such an efficient and driven brother."
no subject
"Mayu must've changed a lot without us here. Well, he had to deal with more responsiblities."
But now wasn't the time to even talk about it. He bowed to the other, realizing how rude he was being.
"Thank you for looking after Mayu in my absence. I appreciate it. You can call me Nozaki-kun, if you'd like.
Everyone else pretty much does, except for Mayu."..thread tracking is important, self.
You are damn lucky she didn't kiss your hand, Satsuki."It's a pleasure to meet you, Kiryuin-san."
Standing back upright, she tilts her head. "The Guardian position in Nova City? You're about our age, aren't you?"
Curiosity has overridden her need to act like a prince, at least for the time being. This is better for everyone present, most likely.
Just going to cut in here..
Her attention then shifts to Kashima. Really, there is just something strange about him? Her? There's something charming about her so perhaps it's safe to assume she's a he for now. "That is possible; though after my mix-up with Nozaki, I am not entirely certain how old the lot of you are. I turned nineteen in November. You could say I come from a militant culture, so the position does come rather natural to me. Do you all work in the manga industry?"
(no subject)
Sorry just.. Going to skip in here since it's been a while. D:

"Thank you, um.. ah, I don't believe we've met yet. I'm Yui Kusanagi. I'm friends with Mikoshiba-senpai. It's nice to meet you."
no subject
"Hello, Kusanagi-san! I'm Yuu Kashima. Mikoshiba and are best friends at home! It's nice to meet you, princess!"
That's an odd jumble of her usual enthusiasm, but at least she's not accosting Yui any further. "Please come in, have something. Nozaki-kun has been cooking for days, it feels like."
no subject
What had Mikoshiba been telling this person? Yui tries to laugh it off, shaking her head. It probably had something to do with that tiara incident she told him about.. Yui figures it's that. "I'm not a princess, it was just a play that I wore that in. Mikoshiba-senpai seems to have exaggerated something.."
Yui's at least used to dealing with a number of eccentric people, so she'll adjust pretty quickly once she gets a read on what kind of person Kashima is. It doesn't mean she'll be able to keep up, but she'll get used to what brand of not being able to keep up she's in for.. "Thank you for your hospitality, Kashima-san."
no subject
"I never told her about that story! Why would I want to make things harder than they already are?! Even if they are gods, no guy can compete with the Prince of Roman High!"
He's pointing at her now, his face turning red. He seems to realize he overreacted and slowly turns back to Kashima to use her as a shield again.
"K-...Kashima calls every girl a princess." And Hori.
