I listened to the hologram, I read the materials, please. No double answers, I know there's no where, why, or how or everyone would be home already. I just want to know where a good place to stay is and where I can get a cage for this little guy.

If we need to get a job to afford a place to stay, I'd rather do something I'm familiar with. It's.. soothing, to stick to something familiar when everything's changing.

[ That was an experience she's already gone through. This was significantly less traumatizing, but at least this time she knew how to not end up moping on the couch eating Hellfire Cheesy Puffs for a couple of months. Now she just needed to worry about making sure she didn't end up some place worse than the sofa. ]

[ "Stay dead" were the exact words used. It had confused her at first, but then it became clear there were no zombies besides her and she just assumed any hospitals would be about managing pain, not having a morgue. Diseased brains don't exactly sound like a fun time though. ]

Oh, people do. Whether or not they stay dead is another matter entirely. One of the things I love about this place, it's never boring. ☆

You don't have any idea how that works either, do you? I mean- it doesn't look like there are vampires or zombies or other B-horror undead hoards wandering around.

They're just brought back, alive and well. Only they lose something when they are.

Seriously? What do they lose- Does it cure everything when someone dies or just what killed them?

I think that depends on whether or not they had it when they were brought here. But can lose anything from a memory, to a power they had, sometimes even a part of their body, but that's much rarer.

So it won't cure something a person came in with. [ That.. even with the prices being what they are, that just seems disappointing. ]

That could have all kinds of benefits for people with diseases that affect them on the cellular level. Like cancer or the build-up of somatic mutations in mitochondrial DNA that's been associated with Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, heart disease..

Aha, it's possible! Come to think of it, Shiro-chan doesn't even get sick that often. Surprising, considering her diet is pretty much all sugar. ☆

{ At least, until the Wretched Egg takes over. On the rare occasion she's out when she gets hungry, she prefers red meat. }

I don't think she's ever had an actual disease, though. I love that about her, too. ☆
