I-I hope I did this correctly... H-Hello, my name is Wendy. Um... Has anyone seen a white cat wearing a dress and a ribbon on her tail? She was with me before I ended up in this world.

[Having been to another world with her friends before, it's safe to assume they may have ended up here, too.

On that note—]

Ah, if anyone has this symbol [She adjusts the video phone so that the camera's pointed at her blue Fairy Tail Guild stamp.] somewhere on them, please let me know.

[She's already rather nervous; it'd be even worse if she found out she was the only one from Earth Land here.]

O-Other than that... Is there anything else I should know that wasn't already covered?

[Bows her head.]

{ She's back. Zeref nearly turns on his camera, before she begins speaking; she doesn't remember Genessia? It wouldn't have been the first time someone was sent back, and then returned with no memories of having been here before. That was why he didn't say anything to Lucy and Natsu before, choosing instead to just listen.

Still, he had to be sure. Without turning on his camera, Zeref simply asks quietly: }

This is Genessia. { A beat. } You don't remember being here before?

[ She was pleasantly surprised to see the young girl here. It's been a year and some change since she last saw the Dragonslayer. ]

Wendy? You're here too!

[ That's... well it's a conflict of interest really. She was delighted to see the girl, and sad she was stuck here. ]

Are you still in the Bay? That place with the water, where you woke up? I'll come and get you.

[He'd recognize that voice anywhere. Natsu always liked Wendy seeing as she was a fellow Dragon Slayer and even more so a fellow First Generation whose dragon parent just went up and vanished one day without warning. Even so he has ample reason to just grab his device and call her back, flashing her with a big happy grin the moment she answers.]

Wendy! You came here too! I was wondering who'd show up next in this place.

[A curious looking scaley face with horns appears! Innit shocking?[
Innit that the symbol of that group over in Fayren? With Pinky and Blondie and whatnot?

[Blinks.] I...was here before?

[It's hard to believe, as she can't recall anything about Genessia. Still, it seems odd that this person—whose voice she can't recognize—knows her.

She shakes her head.] I'm sorry, I don't remember ever being here. ...Maybe I look like someone you know? [She does have a doppelgänger in Edolas (albeit an older one), so it's always possible this person met a lookalike.]

Ah... Lucy-san?

[Her whole face lights up. It's great to hear a familiar voice!]

Yes, I'm still in the Bay. [Smiles.] I'll wait by the magazine stand!

Natsu-san!

[Likewise, she's really happy to see him! So happy, in fact, that it takes her a moment to digest what he said.]

"Too"? Who else is here? [...And wait, why didn't she see them? They would've arrived at the same place as her...right?] ...Have you been here a while?

[ Lucy let out a sigh of relief. ]

Thank goodness. I'll be right there! Natsu's here too - we've been staying at an inn in Fayren.

[ Notably not the 'guild' that was there, and she'll do everything she can to avoid even speaking about it. ]

Ah, if anyone approaches you, be really careful. When Natsu and I were first approached, there was a really pale man who appeared friendly enough - but I got a really bad feeling about him. Don't go anywhere with him or anyone else until I get there, okay?

[ It's not that she didn't trust Wendy - more she didn't trust the creepy people here. In any case, she'd be there pretty quickly, since she had been in Genessia already. ]

["Pinky" and "Blondie"? That must be Natsu and Lucy.

She nods.] Fayren, huh? ...Wait, the guild's there?

Well there's Lucy and The First and Erza too. But that's about it. Apparently me and Lucy were here before but neither of us remember that. It's all really confusing if you ask me.

[He doesn't like confusing things but what can he really do about it but move on.]

You still in that Bay place with all the pods?

[Fayren, huh... She hadn't had a chance to go over the maps yet; perhaps she could do so while waiting for Lucy.

Now, in regards to the "pale man" Lucy spoke of...]

All right, I'll be careful. ...Do you remember anything else about the man's appearance?

[The reptilian woman nods, a small cocksure smile growing on her lips]

Aye, that be the chant about it, s'been one of the oldest groups assembled from the folk outta town, if you ken what I mean, lass.

You were, yes.

{ Well, that confirms it. Zeref's slightly disappointed; Wendy actually saved his life before, even if he would have never wanted her to. }

This world is odd. People come and go from here all of the time, sometimes with their memories intact, sometimes without. It happened to Natsu, Lucy, Erza, and Mavis, before you. { Also Gray, but he left a second time. He still hasn't returned to Zeref's knowledge. } You should focus on finding them.

[ It would take her a bit to reach Wendy so that was a good plan! ]

Hm - well Natsu was immediately hostile when he approached us... oh! And afterwards, Natsu did say that the man smelled like dead people.

[ Gross. But at least Wendy would be able to identify this guy quickly with that description. ]

[That...really is strange, considering she was with Natsu and the others a short time ago back in their home world. Maybe time works differently in Genessia?] Someone told me I was here before, too, but I don't remember anything about this place. [Sighs.] It really is confusing...

[Nods.] Yes, I'm still in the Bay. [She's sticking around since Lucy promised to meet her; she's not sure when she'll be coming, though.]

[Since he knows Natsu and co., she now has no doubt that he knows her, not a lookalike.

Still, there's something that's bothering her...]

The others... They've been here before? [She takes a moment to think.] That can't be right—I was with Natsu-san, Lucy-san, and Erza-san shortly before I ended up here. I don't remember them disappearing before, either...

D-Dead people!? [She shivers. That doesn't sound pleasant at all.] I-I hope I don't meet him... [Thank goodness she has enhanced senses; she'll likely be able to smell the man a good distance away and escape before she runs into him.

As she waits for Lucy, she grabs a brochure on Fayren and begins reading it.]

It has...? [She knows some of the others have been here before, but for the guild to have been here a really long time...? This world really is strange.]

How...how long has it been here?

Time flows differently here than it does in our own world. That was the only conclusion we could reach, and the evidence seems to support it. { Really not Zeref's strong point; of all the magic he's learned and studied over the centuries, interdimensional travel isn't one of them. }

Beyond that, there is little that I can tell you. Whoever, or whatever, has brought us here has made no attempt to tell us why.

I see... So if we return home, time won't have passed at all? [That would mean she probably wouldn't need to worry about being separated from Carla, though she does miss her.]

I...I wonder why we're being kept in the dark. The white-haired lady said this place was safe, but... I would think whoever brought us here wouldn't have a problem explaining the circumstances...

By all indications, yes. Unless an Archway is opened.

{ Zeref sighs over the speaker. }

I don't know. It gives me far less reason to trust this place. Indiscriminately bringing so many people here without an apparent reason is suspicious at best, especially when it is clear that the responsible parties have done no research into the people brought into this world. { Kefka, Laharl, that serial killer in Everglade, Mard Geer... Zeref sets a hand on E.N.D.'s book, leftover from Mard Geer's departure from Genessia. Fate had a strange sense of humor. } I believe Mavis was right, however. We will learn more once somebody successfully gathers the Charms.

[Time works differently in quite a few worlds. Natsu has been at least in one other outside of Genessia before arriving here.]

Well Lucy can probably explain it better for ya. I'll go pick her up and come get you okay? Just keep on your toes. There's some really shady stinky people lurking around those parts.

I'unno, coupla months afore I got here so, well over a year I think? Don't really go there meself so I wouldn't really know.

I hope so too. He seemed nice enough, but Natsu didn't trust him for a reason, I'm sure.

[ And she was always going to trust Natsu's judgement. In any case, Wendy still had a little while to wait before Lucy showed up - it was quite a way to go to get to Genessia from Fayren. Good thing she'd be able to smell Lucy coming, right? ]

So those with nothing but wicked intentions could be brought here, right? ...Why didn't the lady give any sort of warning? [She did seem to imply that the world wasn't completely safe, but it would've been nice if she said why. Granted, doing so could make things worse...]

Would you mind telling me more about the Archways and Charms? [Those sound important, after all; why didn't the lady mention those?]
