[He can’t say he is really surprised with the outcome of any of the elections. Though he didn’t really prepare any sort of.. speech or anything.]

Congratulations to all of the Guardians, new and old. And thank you to those that put their faith into me by voting for me. To those that didn’t vote for me, I hope that I can make you think better of me by the end of my term. If not, then no big deal. It should be an interesting six months.

[He's got a few things in the works for this place.]

Feel free to contact me if you have any problems, and I will do my best to solve them. My communicator and door will always open to those in need or otherwise. To you other Guardians, I hope we can work well together over the coming months.

Well. I'm sure you know that Guardians can appoint a Deputy Guardian when they are elected. Or any time during their term really. So I was wondering if you might be interested in a position like that?

[It was a simple response, but she hadn't really thought about it. But to have him ask her of all people to fill that spot... She felt honored, really. After a small pause of collecting her thoughts]

I am glad to have you aboard, Mikasa. But just so you know, saluting me isn't necessary. [He didn't see himself as some military official or anyone really deserving of that type of formality.]

[Never mind that she doesn't even really salute her own captain here, mostly because for the longest time she's had a grudge against him. At least she's getting better.]
