Congratulations to all of the Guardians, new and old. And thank you to those that put their faith into me by voting for me. To those that didn’t vote for me, I hope that I can make you think better of me by the end of my term. If not, then no big deal. It should be an interesting six months.

[ At least she's got the appearance of being a good loser. She's pretty mad about it, but she can see why she didn't win. He went ahead and did quite a few impressive things. It's hard to overwhelm shown results with a promise. ]

A City Guardian is someone who is supposed to protect the city and the citizens from harm. They can do this however they see fit and they have absolute authority over the entire city that they are Guardian of. In some ways, the City Guardian's word is law.

A Guardian only serves for six months before a new election is held. Though that six month period is something that has only started recently. I haven't officially taken the position yet, though. I have to let the current Guardian finish out her time before I take over.

And questions are no problem. Answering them if I'm able to is really part of the job as well.

It does. That is why its important for the right people to get the position.

There have been incidents in the past. Before I arrived, someone that was a resident of this city rained fire down upon it and caused destruction. And not all that long ago, there was an incident in Nova City that resulted in the city completely losing power. There was panicking and rioting throughout it.

[So yes. This place definitely had its dangers.]

I'll be honest, I'm not sure. I do have one thing that I am working on. But I know Genessia needs a prison, I need to outlaw discrimination, though just my word is enough for the second thing. I'm also considering forming a type of council to help and vote on big decisions if I make them, since I know some people aren't comfortable with one single person having full power in a city. [Since a Guardians word was law, he really really do anything he wanted in Genessia.]

There is just a lot that needs to be done.

I'm not sure of the handoff process, honestly--seems like Guardian Tepet had the job for ages--but I would like to help with whatever transition I can.

I don't think we've met. I'm Spirit Albarn; I've been the deputy guardian in Genessia for the entirety of the last term. I'm not asking for the position back, because you should pick who you want. I just would like to help you however I can.

Yeah. I think this is the first time I've really seen it all change hands.

I did have someone in mind for the Deputy Guardian position under me. But I don't think I know of a rule that says you only can have one, unless I missed that. It wouldn't be bad to have a veteran on hand to help out.
