[ Hey Genessia ~~and the other cities~~, have a young girl with Christmas-colored eyes just staring at you through the videophone in confusion for a few moments until she's pretty sure that she has it working. Then she's grinning at you for two seconds before her lips curl back into a frown.

This was so much easier to do on Mid-Childa. But she has something important that she needs to ask about, because, well... ]

Hey!? Umm... that thing with the monsters and the trying to get in here and... eat us isn't normal here. Right?

[ Yeah, guess who got to see that almost as soon as she walked out of the Bay and has been hiding for the last however many hours it's been since they had shown up ]

Please tell me that's not normal. The pamphlet and hologram didn't mention anything about that!

[ She sighs, taking a deep breath before speaking again. ]

[ Yeah. She's still a bit shaken up and still being pretty rude, but come on, giant monsters weren't a thing you saw everyday. She didn't know if even Nanoha-mama or Fate-mama could stop things that big if they got in. And if they were here. Which they might not be.

Because they don't have to be. The breach is at a specific place, so you just have to defend that place. That's easier than a full city spread.

... But what happens if the monsters get in and get past the people who are there?

Given some of the heroes in that town, I'm calling that "Unlikely."

Don't worry about that. If it does, the heroes can figure out what to do then.

If it happens, what can you do about it?

I know my abilities, and while they might be helpful, they're not going to let me lead a charge if needed. I'm a back-line support. Thus, I'm really not the one who should be aking the plan.

... I can shoot magical blasts and punch things. That's pretty much it.

But nothing strong enough to be a big help against what I saw...

Don't be so sure. They look scary, but there's no telling how strong they are. One blast might be enough to send one fleeing.

... I don't know. Some of them really seemed to be pretty big.

Size does not dictate strength. At all.

While we've no idea how strong they are... We can be fairly someone can handle them. There's some people with ridiculous power levels here, after all.

... You do realize that's barely telling me anything, right?

I do. I just don't know for sure what concepts are relevant in your world to compare against, since there's kind of a really broad variety here.

... Well, why don't you just tell me whats out there, and I'll work on trying to compare it myself?

Fair enough. I myself am a bard - my music inspires courage to a near-preternatural degree, and I know a bunch of magic and other tricks besides.

We've got swordfighters whose blades can create wind strikes, magic clothing, people with preternatural weapons... Really, all sorts of high-level magic all over.

Most of that doesn't sound too different from things I know from back home... though the singing music magic thing is different.

Which is sad. Because really, singing magic music is objectively awesome.

Yeah, but having strong effects doesn't necessarily mean that it's awesome though.

Even if it's "light your allies' fists with lightning so they can punch things into oblivion" type awesome?
