Episode 1: Arriving with a Yang! [Video]

The feed pops open to show the face of a rather fetching blonde girl with lilac eyes as she grins at the camera while standing next to the hologram of Weiss. "Yo Weiss! I'd rather you were here in person to get me instead of just a hologram, but I'll take what I can get here." She seems pretty optimistic despite being in a foreign world. Though having a familiar face like Weiss certainly makes it a lot easier as she's still looking around suspiciously.

"So...anyone know of a place where a girl can get a strawberry sunrise? And don't forget the umbrella."

"A ...Subarchway of Vale? ...Think my bike might be there?" And by that she means her personal bike, Bumblebee, not whatever bike was in the house's parking space.

"Well they should at least read the letters and look at your hologram first. No point in going out into a strange world without information."

Yang let Frost lick her hand for a little bfore going back to pet the small dog, throwing Weiss a dry look.

"That's because when I make them, they're good and have a time for it. Your little pun after that mech wasn't the time for a joke when we let Roman get away. Again."

"Not if your bike's at Beacon," Weiss said simply, "The subarchway only has the City of Vale itself and part of Forever Fall. Beacon's out of reach until someone decides to pay for it. Which I have considered since our lockers and textbooks would be very useful to have here."

At least then she wouldn't have to look like she was packing heat to go to the grocery store, if she had her rocket locker.

"Precisely. Before I established Schnee Company here, they had this absolutely terrible flyer that simply stated 'Don't panic' entirely capital letters with very little explanation. It didn't even have a proper map."

It was the thing she had bitched about from the first second she got here. "Ruby snickered, and Sun likes my jokes."

Well, she was pretty sure about that anyway. Maybe.

Yang sighs at that. Her bike was at Beacon and not in Vale so she doesn't have her beloved Bumblebee yet.

"Why would you need the textbooks? I mean who doesn't love the rocket lockers," Maybe Jaune, but he's not here, "but I don't see a need for our textbooks if we can already do what we were learning to do here."

"Well at least you have a revised greeting up then. Less trouble and panic from people."

"Sun'll say he likes anything if you give him what he wants."

"Because there aren't any teachers here anymore and as useful as my ambidexterity training with Mayu and any extra training with Zuko are, they aren't exactly aura experts. We're still students, I'm sure there's plenty we can gain from those. Especially since some of our enemies here are.. well, the same people from back home. Also Mercury, who turned out to be a murderer."

Weiss subconsciously touched the scar shaped rather like Torchwick's symbol on her hand, but didn't say anything else about it. Katara healed most of the inner damage so she regained use of her hand, but the scar wasn't something she'd managed to get rid of.

Despite her previous views on Sun, she'd actually become somewhat fond of him. Maybe not in an accepting-of-his-ways sort of way, but they were definitely friends by now. The oncoming disagreement was plain on her face.

"I don't have anything he wants and most things he does, he tends to just take without asking, so I can't see him even needing to do that."

While it certainly makes sense on getting more information on how to properly use aura, that last bit came out of nowhere. "Wait what? You mean the guy who had sparred with Pyrrha back home?...Huh. Never would have guessed. Do you think the rest of his team might have known?"

She did raise an eyebrow at watching Weiss touch a scar on her hand, it certainly wasn't there in the old world, but she let it go. Yang didn't think Weiss would just talk about it out of nowhere and it wouldn't do to bring up things now.

"Dunno then. Maybe he just laughs at everything. Got a bright outlook on life or something."

"That's him, and I honestly have no idea. They're certainly acting like they didn't know, but I'm still not sure I buy it. I assumed Mercury was just obnoxious, he didn't seem like the type of person who would torture Armin to death at the time- which you absolutely shouldn't ask about when you meet him."

Weiss wouldn't talk about her experiences with torture out of nowhere, though. Not unless it came up from someone else. She had no doubt it would eventually, between Blake and herself, but Weiss wasn't one to share unless it became necessary or she really wanted to get her point across- so she certainly wouldn't bring it up now unless Yang asked about it.

"Well, you're not wrong about his bright outlook, but he doesn't laugh at everything. I personally think he enjoys getting yelled at when he steals my things."

Well, all their things. But those are Weiss's fruit as far as she's concerned, and Weiss's dishes at one point, but Neptune made up for that. Her (Their*) teammate, if you count Blake staying with him after that argument back in Vale, which Weiss absolutely did. Still, Weiss is probably the one who has fun yelling at him over things like that.

"Yeah...don't worry, I won't ask." Definitely not a good subject to ask as a first question to someone new.

For that matter, she's not going to ask Weiss what happened to her hand either. That was a problem she could talk about later, if it wasn't already dealt with.

"What? He likes being yelled at? That's...rather odd." Though someone swiping their fruit all the time was pretty odd too. At least it was only the fruit? Unless there was something else Yang needed to know about Blake's boyfriend's klepto habits.

"You say that like Sun was ever normal."

Even if she likes him now, no one escapes Weiss's criticism train once in a while. She just learned to adapt to him, just like she did with everyone else. Weiss idly scritched Frost's ear.

"What's the last thing you remember, Yang?"

"Maybe he was at one point." Yeah, Yang doesn't look very convinced of that herself.

She does offer Frost back to Weiss if she wants to hold her dog again instead of just scritching his ear.

"The last thing I remember? Going to sleep." That should have been obvious really. "But really, we had just gone to bed after fighting all those Grimm that had broken into Vale." Because they didn't stop the train in time.

"I have my doubts."

Weiss nearly rolled her eyes at the going to sleep comment. That wouldn't have told her anything at all.

"You're at the same memory point I am then. Sometimes people come in with memories that go further or less than other peoples' here."

Yang gives a cheeky grin as she waits to see if Weiss shows any annoyance or not over her lack of initial help. She doesn't stop grinning even when nothing happens though.

"Well at least it means I'm not missing much then." Other than the time that she's not been here and Weiss and other have been.

"Has there been anything of note that I should know of though? Here seems to be good to you and Blake if you both have a good life going at least."

"Torchwick's here along with your favorite lackey of his."

Might as well warn her about Neo. Weiss just glosses over it though. No sense in starting Yang's first day off with 'I crashed your bike and by the way, Blake was murdered at one point and I got tortured but we're physically okay now.' They can save that for day 2. Or day never. In fact, she should probably just leave that conversation to Blake now that she thinks of it. Yang isher partner, and that would save Weiss the trouble.

"There are other people who aren't very good and you.. shouldn't tell anyone, ever, but don't do anything you don't want Sun and I to see near the main archway gates."

Aaaand that was news she didn't want to hear, though it was good to know. Her eyes are certainly rather red now and even her hair was starting to glow.

"That little bitch will get what's coming to her."

Also yeah...that's probably enough information for another day. Bad enough she can get a bit angry from constant stress, the thought of Neo being around certainly brought her to a boiling point.

"Do anything I don't want Sun and you to see? What would I even do to do that?"

"I hope so," Weiss wasn't exactly a fan of anyone on team bad guys.

"I have no idea, but we may have hidden cameras up around there to try to see which archway Torchwick passes through the most."

"That's if he passes through an archway. He could just stick to the dark. Or make a private archway and not inform anyone."

"It doesn't really work that way- at least, not between Genessia City and the other four main cities. The subarchways? Sure. But if it were possible to make a shortcut between Attleton and Fayren, I would've figured it out some time ago."

It hasn't been easy though, and they certainly haven't managed to get enough data to come up with a substantial answer yet. Yet.

"Well, I'm sure you'll figure something out." Weiss was one of the smarter ones of the team. Not to say Yang herself wasn't, but more that she didn't care to try and exert herself towards that kind of work.

She goes back to petting Frost since Weiss didn't feel like holding him, shifting her arm under the dog to better hold him up. "Well if he hasn't slipped past any archways yet, then it should only be a matter of time before we find him."

"Exactly, and then we're going to lock him up until he rots."

There's a certain amount of vitriol in her tone that wasn't there before, but.. ah well, they're approaching the house now, and the sight of Armin ~~in the other thread yay~~.
