[ When the feed crackles to life, Lucy and Natsu are present in the Bay, though Lucy's looking a little run down and then some. Bonding with Genessia's spirit and using its power alongside Natsu to rescue Everglade's spirit took more out of her than she thought. Still, she had to make sure to pass on this message. She musters a bright smile. ]

Thi...This is Lucy, of Fairy Tail. I don't know how many of you are able to see this in our current situation. We found Genessia's spirit - however, we were informed that someone was endangering Everglade's spirit.. that someone is Vlad. We were able to successfully rescue it before he could put the cities and their people in any more danger.

[ She put a hand to her forehead, almost dropping her device. Phew. Almost done. She cast a brief glance at Natsu before continuing. ]

About the spirits, and the barriers - the spirits told us what we need to do, and... I'm sorry, but we need volunteers - at least seven or more. In order to fix the barriers, anyone who volunteers will need to sacrifice something - a memory, a skill or ability, just like people who give up something to make subarchways. Please, anyone willing to help, please respond as soon as possible.

[ She's really not sure how much longer she's going to be able to stay conscious. But there, the feed ends and she sighs, sagging back to try to gather enough energy to make the trip back to Fayren. But she's willing to stay awake as long as she can for people who respond or have questions. ]

[ Private to Levy, Wendy, and Juvia ]
I hate to ask this of you, but...I don't think I'm going to be able to make it. Can you meet the volunteers outside the Inn and take them where they need to go? It's the Cloister of Trials in Fayren. [ She'll even give quick directions to said Cloister, courtesy of Genessia's spirit. ] I'll owe you..!

I've met her before, an she's mentioned her guild. But you are the only other person from it that I've met. I'm David Haller, the Guardian of Genessia City.

There aren't many of us here. Natsu, with me, and Levy you already met. There's also Wendy and Juvia.

[ She's about to add the other two, but she hasn't seen them in so long, God only knows if Erza or Mavis are still around. ]

There may be others, but I haven't seen them around.

[ Tiredly, she shakes her head. ]

[Since Lucy is so tired he decides to speak up as well.]

Watch out for that batty asshole. He tried to go for the spirit so he might try going after any volunteers.

Hopefully they are all okay. Despite the circumstances, it's nice to meet you, Lucy. And you too, Natsu.

I don't know what he was thinking trying to do that, but if he tries to interfere with this, it won't end well for him.

[ Lucy glances over towards Natsu on her end, and then turned back to her device with a weary smile. ]

[ She just wished people weren't having to sacrifice their memories or abilities to fix this. It's a disgusting process. ]

I doubt he'll try anything.. Natsu and I...we chased him off, so...

[ So enjoy that view of the ground, David, Lucy's ability to remain conscious just timed out. There's a little bug walking past the video where it slipped out of her hand. ]

Oi Lucy!

[He cries out and quickly catches her before she just hits the ground.]

Shit! She's out cold.

[He turns back to David after taking her device in hand.]

I'm taking Lucy back. As for that guy he didn't strike me as the kind of guy to think he's vulnerable to anyone. Crazy bastards like that are the biggest pain to deal with.

[He hopes she will be alright, though with how she was looking this whole time, he's not surprised she dropped.]

I've had to deal with the type before. I'll keep my guard up, though.

I'm not sure what happened to Lucy, but get her checked out. If you need a doctor, contact Liv Moore or I can send her your way.

Don't think it's anything a doctor can help. This is closer to what happens when we get our magic used up during a fight. AT least I hope that's what it is...

[Needless to say Natsu wasn't convinced the price was worth it if it's anything worse than that.]

Better safe than sorry, but it's your choice in the end. You know yourselves better than people from other worlds would.

I'll have Wendy take a look at her before she goes off and helps Levy. I'm not someone who is just going to go around asking people to give something precious up for this thing. Just the thought of it makes my blood boil.

[He growls before it subsides with a sigh.]

This whole setup reeks. Just watch out when you're out there.

I'm not very pleased about it either. I don't know if this is the only way we could possibly repair it, but I also don't think we have the luxury of researching other options. In the end, what's a memory, skill or ability compared to the safety of so many people.

[While Dave's words might make sense, Natsu can't force himself to agree. Memories are everything he has left of his father. Losing those...the very thought chills him to the bone.]

Sorry. It's just not something I can do. Call me a power idiot or whatever. But I'd rather hit the problem in the face and get beaten to a pulp but win than sacrifice something precious like that.

[It's the same for David. He won't give up the memories he has of his Father, though. But if it was a choice between that and letting people suffer, he knows his Father would be disappointed in him for making a choice like that. Luckily, David has a lot that he can give up.]

I don't expect you to give up anything, because I completely understand why you don't want to. My memories, powers and skills all mean a lot to me. But I have a lot of both. I'll try to look at giving up one as a kind of spring cleaning. [A somewhat joke to try to lighten the situation a little. But he's still not looking forward to parting with something.]

Plus you and your friend have already done more than enough as it is. I wish that this was a situation where something like that could work, but punching or otherwise trying to kick the problem's ass in this situation seems like it will only make things worse.

I guess that's just your call in the end. It still stinks. Besides if this kind of thing keeps happening sooner or later people will run out of things to give up. Then what?

[Sometimes the simplest of minds can think of the most out of left field things.]

We'd just have to keep doing it. If we don't, the barriers will break open then we will be in a much worse situation.

Then we are screwed. Unless there is another way, this is a situation where you are damned if you do and damned if you don't. I plan to work on some stuff when this is all over. I'm hoping your friend Levy might be able to help me out.

Well if it's anything Levy can do to help you. Wonder what the spirits are gonna have to say about that.

[He's just a little mistrusting of the entities since they never mentioned putting Lucy to sleep like this.]

She seems like a very capable woman. I've only talked to her a few times, and already I'm impressed by her. The spirits seem to have a very hands-off approach to all of this. It's starting to seem like they only get involved when its a major catastrophe.

Yeah that's Levy alright.

[He lets out a low rumbling growl at the topic of the spirits. They remind him of a certain Council back in his world. And how they all got taken out by one guy.]

Lets hope they don't run into something too big even for them to handle then.

Well if it's something that big, and physical force will work on it, then we will take up the slack and kick the problem's ass.
