[Mikasa seemed to be deep in thought once she appeared.]

I wonder.... I understand that most people want to go back home, but.... are there any others who would be okay living here? I mean... I get that there are important things to do back home, but...

There's just... more of an opportunity to really live a life here... One where we don't have to be constantly in fear that we might not survive much longer than tomorrow... One that really shows promise... It's taken me a long time to adjust, but I... I think that coming here from my world... isn't such a bad thing.

[She let out a small sigh at the thought.]

I don't mean to say that I won't keep trying, but... is that so wrong to want to be able to really live the life that we should have been able to?

[Mikasa wasn't exactly directing that to anyone in general. In fact, it seemed to be a question for herself more than anyone else, but with nothing more to say, she disappeared from the feed.]

[That...wasn't what he thought he'd hear. Jean entertained the idea it was aimed at someone to himself for a brief moment, before he shrugged it off. For all he knew, she could be dreaming about coffee. But at least she seemed relaxed and happy. That was all that was really important right now.

Already, his initial surprise had worn off, and he was back to being irritated with her working patterns. But he was also selfish, so he cuddled with her and tried to force his thoughts to stop going so he could talk to her later in the morning. He told himself his face wasn't hot because he was blushing, the room was.]

[And as if to dash his thoughts on thinking it was directed to something else...]

[Guess he'll have to deal with the room or whatever it was getting hot.]

[He's not getting any sleep tonight is he?

Definitely not.

His thoughts are running faster than ever and he's not unhappy but it definitely took him by surprise. It's nice to hear she reciprocates his feelings. Now if only she could say it while awake. He's been afraid to, so he can't really talk. Maybe when she wakes up he can just put that out there...and see what happens.

For now? He'll not-sleep.]

[Of course not.

If he thinks he'll have to wait for her to wake up, he won't have to wait long, because her eyes fluttered open slowly. Remember those feelings and her working too much? Now's your chance as she slowly glances around as best as she could to see what time it was.]

[He wishes he had longer to think about what she said, because he knows if he opens his mouth and forms more than a five word sentence, he'll probably make an asshole out of himself.

At least the lights are off. So unless he's blushing to the point to where it radiates off of him he won't have to worry about that.

When he kind of...gets the whole love you thing out of his head, kind of, he speaks in a hushed whisper.]

Go back to sleep.

[Well that was stern enough. Stretching a little, she glanced over to him with a small yawn.]

I'm sorry. Did I wake you up?

No. [He finds himself yawning too, and without really thinking about it, pulls her closer to him. The whole "love" thing might be making him feel like being closer to her. Or something like that.]

You weren't asleep for very long.

[She's not fighting it. She'll just hold onto him closer when he pulls her closer.]

It's been a long day and I find it's easier to sleep when I'm with you.
