[ So, the excitement is over for now, and Lucy -wishes- she could say it was a new experience for her, but no. She was in Fayren, having left a quick note for Erza and Natsu (or caught up with one or the other) on her way out of town to pick her way to a spot to train and see where she was compared to where she had been. But first.. ]

Now that that craziness is overwith- [ Seriously, what was that even about. . .? ]

Is anyone out there handy with construction, or remodeling? My friends and I are going to be in need of some help in that field soon. I'll be here in Fayren, doing some training if you need to reach -

[ She is interrupted by the sudden voice of another young woman, that startles her so much she actually drops her video phone so the following only processes through in audio format ]

"Is it punishment time, Princess?"

Virgo! No, cut it out already! I'm not doing that -!

[ The feed ends there aaand it's probably for the best that way. ]

Just as well - I was still thinking about what I was going to get anyway.

[ Everything Lucy was thinking of for his 'punishment' so far was hardly punishment. And.. weeeeeeeeeell, she didn't think that really would hold him long. And she was proven correct! Eeping when the barrier collapsed under Natsu's firepower, Lucy shifted her grip on her whip, tensing in case Natsu charged forward again. Virgo on the other hand, utilized the Diver ability to go beneath the ground, intending on coming up a short distance behind Natsu. ]

Oh? So what did you come up with so far?

[He says as he slowly circles around keeping his eye on Lucy. Which in hindsight is likely a mistake since Virgo vanished at some point.]

[ Lucy moved with him, keeping her distance but also taking care to try to keep him between herself and where she expected Virgo to (literally) pop up. ]

I thought about making you go without your scarf for a day, but.. that's too cruel.

[ Much too punishing. Even though Lucy would keep the scarf with her warm and safe (and with the added bonus of Lucyscent(tm)) ]

But I think making you get a nice soothing massage by Erza is a better idea.

[ Oh just look at that grin. There might be telltale of something afoot when about a foot or two behind Natsu the ground shifts, then breaks apart as Virgo pops up like a daisy, whipping her chains out to ensnare the dragon. Lucy moved at the same time to try to catch him in between them. Unless he dodges and they end up entangling themselves that is. ]

Y-Yeah that would be a bit too much.

[Though honestly there was no one else he'd trust with his scarf. And the bonus of Lucy scent was certainly tempting. But still he circled around some more keeping his eyes on Lucy.]

Are you trying to get me killed?

[Erza, massage. They don't match! Still he knows something is off. That grin. That grin and the rumbling under his feet. Wait under his feet?!]

Whoah!

[Just a split second but already there are flames under his feet and he prepares to blast himself out from between the two.]

If it helped, she probably wouldn't go through with making him go for a massage. She liked him in one piece. Still, the reaction was well worth the suggestion, and she laughed. ]

Well I was still thinking after all. [ Maybe she'd make him sleep in another room for a night instead of with her and Erza. ]

Ah! No you don't!

[ No escaping! She grins, lunging forward to try and catch a leg as Virgo emerged from the ground like something out of the night of the living dead. A collision is totally imminent with her spirit if he dodged them. ]

Well better think fast. You don't know when this might end.

[Sleeping in another room...that would likely be quite the punishment. What he didn't expect was Lucy trying to all out tackle him. Given she was lunging for his leg, Natsu had to stifle the flames so they don't burn Lucy. Which in turn ends up sending all three participants into a tumble of flailing limbs and bodies]

ACK!

[ For some reason she'd thought he'd dodge - a sudden dust cloud rose up from the impact, and when the dust settled, Virgo was sprawled across Lucy who had clung to Natsu's leg. She shrugged a little, momentarily dazed and rolling poor Virgo off of her back, scrambling to climb onto the Natsu for a pin, in order to capitalize on her luck. ]

Heh-heh! Give up?

[ That cockiness will be her undoing one of these days, but she's really terribly amused. Virgo WAS going to assist with restraining Natsu but she's going to enjoy the awkardness. It is like delicious pudding. ]

[Honestly if he wanted to escape truly, Lucy would've gone flying off by now. However this was sparring and she was his opponent this time. Even so he called out defiantly.]

Never! I can still....get out of this.

[Except not.]

[ Lucy was more than certain if he REALLY wanted to escape she wouldn't have been able to keep him from doing so. It's the difference from him going all out, and from them just enjoying a little light sparring. ANd frankly she was -glad- he wasn't going all out. ]

[ His defiance earned a grin again, unable to help but challenge him. ]

Ohoo? You can, huh? Prove it or surrender.

[Exactly. Though there was also the matter of the whole clinging to his leg like that]

I will. If you'd just stop clinging so tight to my leg.

[For reasons he'd rather not voice.]

[ Lucy quirked an eyebrow. ]

Why would -

[ Clinging. To his leg. ERM. Suddenly this felt extremely awkward - enough that she actually squeaks, recoiling from said leg in alarm. ]

U-um - sorry..! [ Wait. She just let him go. That was probably the oldest trick in the book. ]

[It probably was but he didn't use it on purpose. However he'd be a fool not to make use of such an opening. So he quickly scrambles away though there is a faint blush on his cheeks. Luckily it can be attributed to exertion. Hopefully.]

Guess I made it out~

[ Yeah. Exertion. Just like the pink on her cheeks from her own ..exertion. ]

Erm -- y.. yeah, I... yeah, you did.

[ THere's that elephant in the room coming for lunch plunking his fatass down at the table and demanding peanuts. Virgo, never one to pass up a chance to tease the people she cares about, typically pipes up at this point. ]

"She liiiiii-"

[ Is about as far as she gets before Lucy squeals and pounces the spirit to cover her mouth. ]

[Yep perfectly normal. Nothing odd totally no- And of course Virgo decided to pipe up.

He watches Lucy and her spirit trying to silence her teasing. A faint smile tugs at his lips before a familiar growl rumbles from his stomach.]

I guess we'll have to call it a draw this time. I'm starvin~

[ Lucy relents on Virgo at the sound of Natsu's stomach rumbling. She chuckles softly, getting to her feet. ]

A draw it is. [ Even though he'd have beaten her, easy. Food was more important though. And now that he mentioned it, she hadn't cooked here since they arrived. ]

Hey.. why we head back to the inn? I'll make us something to eat.

[To her credit she kept up admirably given the difference in power. However the moment he hears Lucy will cook it's pretty obvious who had his favor now and always.]

You're gonna cook? Really? Alright I can't wait!

[ She had him to thank for that. She grinned at his reaction, reaching to pull him to his feet. ]

Come on, the sooner we get there, the sooner we can eat. Barring the time it takes me to cook, anyway.

[ It was always nice to see how eager he got for something so simple as a Lucy-cooked meal! ]

[He gladly takes Lucy's hand and stands up however he doesn't let go. Not even as he pulls Lucy away from the lake.]

Can't wait! You comin, Virgo?

[Since of course he's not gonna chase the spirit off now.]

[ She certainly wasn't going to complain that he didn't let go of her hand. Quite the opposite, her smile widening a bit more at that simple thing. She chuckled as he pulled her away from the lake though, glancing at Virgo. The spirit bowed once, because of course she'd come along. She didn't want to miss potential footage -err, incidents to report back to her Fluffy Master. ]

"It would be my honor, Mr. Natsu."

[ Lucy grinned as the spirit started to trot along with them both, reaching over to snag Virgo's hand with hers, thusly chaining them all together and tugging the spirit as Natsu pulled her along. Fortunately the inn wasn't far from where they had been training. Doubly lucky Lucy got permission to use the kitchen for cooking earlier too. ]

[He didn't even consider it an option that she might not enjoy it. After all it was hardly the first time. That and he was really happy about getting to have Lucy's cooking~]

Do we have to buy anything before we get there?

[Might as well get that out of the way if need be.]

[ Exactly. It would be some bizarro!Lucy to not want to hold his hand, or any kind of contact or just being able to be close to him. It was natural as breathing by now. And he was so happy she couldn't help but be happier because of it. ]

Nope! I picked up everything I'd need before coming out here.

[ Meaning she'd planned on making them all a Lucy-cooked meal tonight anyway. The food from the tavern was well and good enough, but there were some things that she missed. And with multiple city types out there, there was a much wider variety of food they could get at here, than back in Exsilium. ]

[Happiness was the best infectious mood one could ask for.

[Hah so you've been planning this for a while. Now I really can't wait to see. Especially since the markets here have a lot more stuff than what we had to make do back in Exsilium.

[ Inhabitants of Fayren have probably become used to the sight of the two of them together; though now it was probably strange with Lucy dragging Virgo along with them. ]

Well, we can't keep eating at the tavern right? Besides, I miss cooking. [ For him especially. ]

Once we're settled in properly with a more permanent place I'll be able to stock things better. But you're right... It's almost funny how much I've missed some of the things that we couldn't get back in that other world.

[He wasn't going to start caring about rumors about the two of them. Hell it wasn't like they were doing anything bad. Just going around together most of the time.]

I can't wait. Though I think Erza's gonna want to cook too after a while.

[Since Titania never could handle being outdone by anyone.]

Hmm yeah. I hope people back there manage to sort it all out.

[Honestly he felt a little guilty for settling into this new place that was considerably better off than Exsilium.]

[ So far Lucy hasn't heard any rumors about the two of them, and she wasn't even thinking about the possibility of rumors. Though it wouldn't be a surprise for there to be some at this rate, as much as they were together. ]

It'll be all strawberry cakes, I bet. Or just one huge one. [ And one little one for everyone else. She chuckled briefly, sobering only at mention of the way things were back there. Absently giving his hand a reassuring squeeze, she shook her head. ]

I'm sure they are. There were a lot of strong people there still, when we were sent back. I bet things worked out for the better.

[ Believing in the friends she had back there, much as she missed a number of them, was the best way she had to cope with it. It was saddening to think she wouldn't see them again, but selfishly, she couldn't help but thinking it was fine as long as she had her guildies with her. And Natsu showed up the same day with her this time. She didn't have to wait for him. ]
