[Sofia has done this dance before - arrive at a different world with it's own rules she has to obey unless she wants this world invaded by the enemies of her employers. She observed the necklace with curious eyes, even pulling out her own translucent smartphone to compare them for a second while she was walking, not even bothering to see where she was going and talking under her breath again]

Find a place, get a job. Sounds simple enough. Tedious, but simple... 

[Sofia rubbed the back of her neck and releases a frustrated sigh]

...Gah, feels like too much work. I'll do that later.

[While finding shelter and a livelihood is more important, her top priority right now is tea. She's less of a slacker once she had some of Oolong tea in her system]

Two different worlds before being dragged here and all of them had awful tea. [A sharp cringe] Should I go three-for-three?

[Ruby was out trying to get used to the city. You know, in case she was out doing things and forgot how to get home. Not that she actually thought that would happen but it was better to be safe than sorry, this place was pretty big after all.

Unfortunately she's paying a whole lot more attention to the buildings around her than where she's going and well she crashes right into Sofia's side.]

[Despite being pint-sized compared to Sofia, the taller woman really felt that once Ruby crashed into her.]

Oof--! I don't know you, kid. But put a little more weight to that, and I'm sure you'd tackle like a bulldozer...

[Regardless of how hard she hit Sofia, the impact still sent Ruby down on her tush.

She'll look up nervously.]

Do bulldozers normally tackle things?

[Sofia dusts her clothes off and extends a helping hand at Ruby]

Aaaaaanyways. I'm Ruby, Nice to meet you! I'm guessing your new here too?

[She's not much of a talker, obviously. Not yet, at least]

Yes, I just got here not even 30 minutes ago. I assume you've been here for at least two days?

Sofia, right. That's a nice name.

[She'll think about it for a second and shrug.]

A couple more than that but yeah.

[Sofia then listened to Ruby say she's been here more than two days. That would be a good enough amount of time to get the basics of the place learned]

Good. So looking for a shelter and a means to get an income is top priority. Where would you suggest to begin?

Well there's a handful of apartments listed on the map.

Or I can show you the one where I'm staying. It's pretty awesome, it even has a pool!

[Sofia turned to face Ruby with hints of interest in her eyes. All the experiments she could do in that pool!]

I'd like to check that out, if you don't mind.

Yes. I haven't been it yet. ...Need to go out and find a bathing suit and all that.

[She'll smile and start walking on ahead.]

Come on, It's not too far off from here!

[Sofia couldn't help but smile around Ruby. Her energetic nature had that effect]

Okay. Lead the way, squirt.

[And she'll lead Sofia down along the street toward the corner of Oak and 8th where the Tupelo Alley apartment building was. The swankiest apartment building in town, mainly because Ruby lived there. or at least she liked to think that was the reason why.]

[Sofia was just appreciating the view of the city while following Ruby. She looked at the Tupelo building and lets out a neutral "Hm". Living in a fancy penthouse in New York city made her take other apartments for granted, even though she's really just borrowing the apartment from her boss]

It's nice.

[Way to be lame Sofia! She should be at least a hundred times more excited than that.]

Come on! let's go take a look inside!

[And Ruby will take Sofia's hand and continue to lead her on into the apartment building.]

[Sofia didn't expect Ruby to take her hand and lead her into the apartment. It's kind of nice. It reminds her of herself back when she was at Ruby's age, just minus the 80's Goth hair. She would have cringed at the embarrassment of the flashbacks of her teen idol phase until she saw the apartment building inside.

While she is unimpressed all the time, Sofia's jaw dropped a little at the sight. Classy and elegant. That's her kind of thing. She looked around in awe]

Wow... It's much better looking indoors.

[Her being a couch potato who stays indoors for weeks might have something to do with her preferring the interior design than the exterior]

[Sofia smiled warmly at the way Ruby just cheerfully guides her inside the Tupelo building. She wasn't complaining for once]

We could start at the top and work our way down.

Sounds like a plan.

[She'll press the button and down the elevator comes. Once they get in she'll hit the top floor and up they go.

She'll fidget a little as they go up, she's not exactly a patient person.]

[Sofia noticed how Ruby is fidgety while they waited in the elevator. With grabbing her hand earlier and now this, Sofia couldn't help but feel the contagious energy that just oozes from this young lady]

So, do you have friends from your world in here with you?

Friends from my world? Uhmm, well yeah. Just one thought at the moment.

My friend Jaune ended up here too, he woke up a little while after I did. He's living on the same floor as I am.

That's good. It's no wonder you're taking this new world thing rather well. Especially for your age.
