Who: Open.
When: Today
What: Exploring old ruins!
Where: Ruins in Fayren
Warnings: None at the moment
Going to the Worn Wand Bar to get a map was a simple task. The bartender has many stacks of the map to handout. On the back of the map is a list of names. Peddlers and Archaeologists that will pay for items found in the ruins. The Bartender is happy to give out these maps, seeing as he gets a small commission for any items that the Peddlers and Archaeologist in up buying. But you have your map and you’re off.
A trek through the forest and you come up to the ruins. There is something in the air of the ruins. It’s not dangerous nor is it friendly. It’s just best to be on your guard..
The corridors in the ruins are large and there are many rooms and pathways throughout the place. The place is old, so some of the walls are collapsed. Though it is possible that it is from a battle and not from age.
The first two floors are only populated by Reanimated Skeletons, Living Vines, Clockroaches and Dire Bats . They exist on the other three floors as well, but those floors also contain Giant Boars, Dire Wolves, Twig Blights, Barfhest and Stone Golems. The creatures leave behind no corpses when they are vanished. Instead they dissolve and dissipate in a black mist.
[ooc: This is an open log for everyone to log out their ruin adventures if they want. Note in the subject line of your tag if it is open to all characters or closed to certain ones. He sure to check the Newspaper before posting here.]

The Fool walks off the cliff, for he knows the angels will catch him
How can you think of finances when there's adventure afoot! Don't be vulgar.
Not like these skeletons. They were perfectly vulgar, and Ted was perfectly happy to put them back into the ground where they belonged. Boy, if only those necromantic whiners back in Everglade could see him now, laying waste as bullet after bullet pierced their skulls.
"Ha ha! Take that, you whitewashed wretches! I'm all out of calcium, but you can have plenty of lead!" The target practice at Nova City had evidently done Ted some good. He can't wait to unleash more of the same on ol' Draky.

Her eyes were glowing brightly enough to cast some light on her cheeks.
"Mister Spades! Hello!" Her third eye drifted over, nudging his cheek. "Are you here to explore the ruins? That's what I'm here to do. I bet there will be lots of interesting things inside!"

Pocketing the illumination, he motions for her to follow on, paying more attention to looking at her to the side than where he's going. They walked towards the stairs.
"Logically I don't know if there's any reason to suspect that good things lie at the top. Perhaps it's like the Tower of Babel; the higher it goes, the angrier God gets. But it's worth a tr-a-a-ACK."
He had walked right into some ivy, which he'd normally hack away with a machete. This ivy, however, was much needier. It clung to his neck, squeezing him for dear life like a desperate ex.
What he lacks in strength he has in cleverness...or stupid puzzle solving skill idefk
But what Luke doesn't have in strength or weaponry he does have in cleverness, which is why he had already been trying to figure out an effective way of subduing the large mobile ivy-creatures. They didn't like fire. Or smoke. And while the fire was easier--and self-limiting, seeing as once the plant burned the flames went out--Ted was currently trapped by the ivy, making the whole flames option far less appealing.
So Luke used the option he'd made for himself a little while earlier--the smoke 'gun', blowing the thick smoke at the base of the ivy. It was so dark and thick it obscured his vision of Ted and Koishi, but the ivy should release Ted. Maybe. At least enough that he could not suffocate. "Hey! Let go of my friend!"
I dunno Luke, you get less exp that way

Lucy, Natsu, Levy
Even if she did keep giving Levy and Natsu an odd look now and again. "Getting a little cold now - I think I heard it was going to snow later too. Are you going to be warm enough, Levy?" Of course Natsu would be - he was his own walking furnace. She walked close to his side, absently rubbing her hands together since he was like her personal walking heater.
no subject
Even so she'd asked Levy specifically and rightfully so given Natsu never had to worry about cold climates.
no subject
"It's a little cold but I'm fine." It's the wind that makes Levy shiver but she'll be fine as they move around. She pulled her scarf a little tighter around her neck before taking a step forward. She's hoping to find writing of some time or something that she can look into later.
"I wonder who lived here before?"

When Lucy caught sight of the spooks, she put an arm out in front of Levy, "Ah, let me change that - it looks like some of the residents are still here...! Creepy..."

She stepped inside the cavern, being careful of her step. She could hear things already, moving around and making noise. This was nothing of surprise, she was used to places like these having monsters roam, but she was also used to having more than a couple people with her at a time. Someone to heal, someone to be the offensive with her.
She moved toward the floating stairs, or rather floating rocks that she could move across that went deeper inside.]

That's if the monsters inside could take a break or something to give people some time to check the ruins out. But fighting your way past them was an option. He was in the process of wiping away some dust from a broken and worn mural on a wall in a room near the entrance when a few skeletons started skulking his way, though he didn't seem like he noticed them.]

Though she was used to very strange hair, cue Cloud, regardless there were a few skeletons moving toward him and she could see he wasn't paying attention or maybe not exactly caring about his life at the moment. As the skeletons moved closer, she frowned, the skeletons were near his back and carrying shields and swords, they were certainly going in for the kill. She moved quickly because calling out would mean it might be too late, but she jumped in the air and leg out as her foot slammed into one of the skull's faces, it stumbled to the side but was surprisingly steady despite having no muscles to hold it up.]
You should really be watching out! [she said finally as she round house kicked another skeleton in the ribs, it stumbled but it was strong and kept coming. The third was somewhat far away, but they all needed to be taken care of before either of them could move on.]
no subject
I guess I should be thanking you since you watched out for me. [He turned to face the skeletons, still not really seeming all that alarmed. It wasn’t like this place was lacking in creatures lurking around.]
The skeleton doesn’t look that pleased that you are roughing up him and his friends, though. [He wasn't certain if the woman could take them or not, seeing as she didn't seem to have any weapons..other than her hands.]

Some monster is going to hear that!
[Levy nervously whispers at her tummy hoping that talking to herself might somehow sedate her hunger. It doesn't really work and after her stomach responses with another growl she's decided that she's lost it.]
I'm talking to my stomach.
[Her head falls to the side as she continues forward. She talks to herself regularly but it's mostly because she keeps the company of books so often. When she walks into the next room over she pauses seeing someone else there.
Oh, she hopes that this woman didn't hear her talking to herself.]
Um... hi.
[Levy smiles brightly as she greets Tifa.]

[She knew it was unwise to question something or someone in the ruins, considering it could be a monster or someone out to make an enemy. Many people were exploring these ruins currently and that meant there were probably those neck and neck to find great treasures. There would likely be fighting and arguments. Once again she heard it. ] Hello?
[She walked toward the source of the talking as she went toward another 'room' she stopped short and saw a girl with vibrant blue hair. Oh. That was probably who she heard.] Hiya. Is everything okay? [She asked, hefting her simple red backpack higher on her shoulder.

He had signed himself up for the paper and it seemed in this place you could treasure hunt. It was like something out of a video game. He was already on the second level of the cavern, he kept himself from fighting anything because while he knew he could take them, ammo was limited and he had yet to buy anymore for his gun. If he even could find anymore in this city.]

She walks into the next room, only to stop at the sight of the other.]
Excuse me. [She inclines her head slightly before sending her keyblade away with a soft glow of magic.] Are you exploring the ruins also?

As he moves into another room. He hears something clink like a jingle or something then turns around in time to see a blue haired woman put away a weird looking weapon. He cocked his brow.] Yeah?
[And what was up with chicks and blue hair around here? Was it natural or dyed? He really wasn't sure.] That I am. I'm figuring you're doing the same.

He hears the guy speak, then decides to talk to him.] I've been avoiding them left and right. Don't have enough ammo to mess with them.

Her steps echo softly as she makes her way up to the second floor. She doesn't have her keyblade out but she doesn't let her guard down either. Her eyes scan the floor hearing the soft clicking of nails against the stone floor. A silver orb glows her her hand forming the keyblade with practiced ease. Her eyes narrow slightly as the Dire Wolf jumps at her. She catches it around it's center and forces it back with the strength of her strike.
The beast staggers before Aqua swiftly attacks again. She's used to seeing monsters and so she continues forward, now with her Keyblade out and ready.]

[The source of the voice emerges from behind the nearest corner. Ike walks toward the corpse of the Dire Wolf, gilded sword in his hand.]
That was a quick reaction, even for what I'm used to. I'm impressed.

Thank you. I wasn't expecting so many things here. I guess it makes sense though.

Open - Later
She decided to stay a little longer in the ruins, specifically looking for writing or text. She knew that she could take anything she found to Belle and the pair of them would probably be able to figure out how to read it. A small part of her hoped that it might be in a language she recognized but given the state of the ruins and the monsters she doubted that she'd find anything at all.
Eventually Levy did find something. It was written on a wall though she wasn't sure if it was a child's scribble, a warning set by another explorer or something else. She can be found staring at the text looking a little to focused as a slight sign falls from her lips.
Open to all
[As she explores, she thinks of her friends back home. Amadeus would like this place, she thinks to herself. Light dragons always did favor ancient ruins and the like.]
