[Sun starts the video feed up after he had had time to compose his thoughts.]

Ignore this posting if you want, but I have some stuff I want to get off of my chest about a Guardian Candidate. Namely, Satsuki Kiryuin. This isn’t to stir up controversy or talk people out of voting for her if that’s what you really want to do. I'll state this flat out. I don't like Satsuki Kiryuin, and I don't trust her. And she has given me more than enough reasons to feel this way.

She made a post and spoke about Weiss Schnee in it. In it, she says “I suggest that if she truly desires to help this city further, that she do so by starting at the side of Deputy Dantes and myself this coming term, as I have with the Guardian before.”

But how many of you actually know the Guardian that she became Deputy to? The man that was Satsuki worked under as Deputy Guardian's name was Albert Wily. He wasn't a great man. He unrepentantly sent machines to attack me and my friends and others during his time here. And the first thing he said he would do is take over all of the cities here and make everyone bow down to him.

This man ran for Guardian against a man from my world named Ozpin. Wily won, but only because he rigged the vote to do so. Ozpin found proof of this, but instructed us all not to act. I've done my own due diligence and found evidence as well.

See, back then, voting for Guardian was done differently. There were machines in the city that were used. But since this has changed, those machines are out of commission and haven't been used since that election. Tracking down the ones used in that election was simple enough. Since I'm no computer expert, I took them to a Forensic Computer Scientist in Nova City to have them checked out. They found coding to suggest tampering.

I took remains of robots that Wily used to attack me and my friends to them to see if they could tell if the same person did the coding for the machines and the hack, and they were able to identify that they were done by the same person.

Wily had his own method of coding and hacked the machines to alter the vote in his favor. The machines were tested, casting votes for Ozpin, but even when 100% of the voted were cast for him, Wily still comes out on top. I will attach the full report below.

Satsuki wasted no time in taking up a position with him after he won. She either didn't know he rigged the vote, which everyone that encountered Wily knew he must have done to win. Or she didn't care and was just interested in a seat of power. The latter wouldn't surprise me. It’s clear that she likes being in power and in control and with as smart as she seems to be, it's hard to believe she was oblivious to the sort of man he was.

The first thing Satsuki did as deputy guardian was announce the creation of a school. She said attendance would be mandatory for all school age people and it would be enforced. And if she had to bring you in by force? You'd be punished.

She obviously backed off from that stance when she realized it wasn't going to work. But I bet you if she had been able to enforce that policy, it would have stuck. Satsuki also backed a Guardian who had a violent past here. Upon their arrival here, set fire to a hotel and burned and beat the workers there.

To me directly, she has looked at and treated me like I was beneath her. At a party hosted by my friends on Team RWBY, Satsuki made discriminatory comments to me, referred to me as an urchin, and threatened to break my weapon and my nose when I reacted to her defensively after an incident with her. I asked her to leave otherwise I would tell RWBY about her bigotry, to which she said told me not to lest they further enable my nonsense.

Everyone has had their own interactions with Satsuki, and you are free to believe whatever you want about her. But after all my experiences with the woman, I can tell you that I don’t like her. And I’d never ever cast my vote for her. I personally believe she isn’t the sort of person that should be in any position of power.

Even without knowing all of ..that, Weiss would have my vote. But it does explain a few things. [ She was all for education but enforcing it and punishing someone if they didn't want to attend? The hell, Satsuki. ]

I'll probably vote for that Fai gentleman for Everglade myself, but I don't know much about the Fayren candidates.

She had mine just for the fact that she was running against her. [There are very few people that wouldn't get his vote.]

I only know Ted from the Everglade, but like you, I don't know much about the Fayren candidates. I know the current Guardian has Mewtwo as a deputy and he was kind of nice to me when we met.

[ After listening to what was said, Sertoria takes a few moments to process what was said. The mere thought of having attendance be mandatory in a school-like setting didn't sit well with her, nor did the thought of being forced to go. For example, what if one was ill? They couldn't help that, that was for sure.

While she's not sure of why Satsuki would willingly align herself with people like this, she'd definitely like to explore it further. Humankind has always fascinated her, both good and bad. Maybe her actions were the result of her upbringing? Or, perhaps, they were out of necessity for her own life back home? Either way, it was worth looking into. ]

Thank you for bringing this information to our attention. Even if she did not apologize to you for her actions, I am sorry that you had to be subjected to that kind of behavior from her.

[Sun welcomes anyone to do their own research and form their own opinion of Satsuki after their discoveries have been made. Sun had formed his own opinion of her, and he was sticking to it.]

Yeah, I doubt she would ever apologize to me and mean it. If she did, I'd eat my own shoe. [Because that is how unlikely he thinks it would be for that to happen.]

Even if they weren't both gunning for the same thing, people should stick up for their friends. With that prime directive in mind, he went about laying rhetorical groundwork.

That is a lot about one person, but I guess we cannot judge for something based on the actions of a different person because as you stated yourself you do not know if she was aware or not. If we knew it would be something else altogether.

You can't judge someone based on the actions of another, but you can judge them based on their own actions and mentality that they have shown to you and others.

[Hikari was the type to give people the benefit of the doubt, but when she saw this she couldn't help but be a little upset. It's not nice to talk bad about someone only because of the actions of one person. Have one clearly upset child on your hands here Sun. I hope you are happy about yourself.]

You know, I understand your own opinions, but I can tell you are doing this to make sure your friend gets votes and bringing up the past where it is not needed in order to do this. If you friend never ran I bet you never would have done this, right? Because you didn't before now and I was here during the last election when Satsuki ran for Guardian and nothing was brought up.

[She shakes her head slightly. As much as she wanted to sit on the bench she didn't think what she thought was bullying was right.]

I wanted to stay on the bench... I really did because I like both Weiss and Satsuki. But I don't think I can vote for someone who will let a friend do this just to get votes and not give someone a chance. After all a leader has to be accepting others and to forgive what is in the past if they have changed and Satsuki has changed. You might not believe that, but I do and that is my own opinion.

You're welcome to ask Miss Kiryuin yourself, but I did actually try to speak to her before this and all she told me was that I wasn't Sun's mother and I shouldn't try to resolve anything between them when I was trying to before it came out like this. I had nothing to do with this post, but I'm not going to restrict a friend from fighting for his rights to be treated like everyone else.

Vote for who you'd like, but I'm not going to stand for letting you think just because I know someone that it automatically discounts their opinions or right to speak up about someone else. Sun's never made his opinion of Satsuki a secret and this isn't because I'm running- it's been like that far longer.

I can honestly tell you this has nothing to do with Weiss and everything to do with Satsuki. But you are entitled to believe what you want about my choice and about Satsuki. But all of this has happened over the course of a year. People don't completely change in a year. Satsuki still gives me discriminatory and belittling looks.

I'm sorry if this upset you, and I'm sorry to Weiss if this costs her a vote. But a persons past and their actions make up who they are and what they will do in the future. Satsuki is someone that is supposed to be on a role of protector. That's what the Guardian is supposed to do. But do you honestly believe that someone that is supposed to protect people should discriminate and threaten harm towards others? If you know the sort of person that Satsuki is, and you will want to vote for her, then more power to you. That's all I can say.

And for the record, Weiss didn't let me do anything. She didn't know about this post or that I was going to make it. The only thing Weiss ever knew was that Satsuki made discriminatory remarks to me.

None of it sits well with me. Especially discrimination. My people have to endure that sort of treatment enough in my world.

I believe everyone should form their own opinions of her. I just think they should do so knowing what she has done and the sort of person she's shown herself to be.

Hmm, yes, I do remember her talking about the mandatory school, and I was one of the people who voice my opposition of it.

It's part of the reason I don't bother voting for these guardians. No matter what they say, you just never know what they're truly like.

So it really isn't just me that remembers that. I'm betting there would be just as much if no more so fuss now than back then if she tried to do something like that again.

You never know if the person you are voting for is showing you the real them. All you can really do is either withhold your vote or cast it for the person you believe is best for the job, and deal with the consequences.

If this Wily was so bent on domination, had the resources that came with the office of Guardian, and the technology advantage, why is this the first I'm hearing of this? There should be evidence of his conquest attempts beyond Nova City, and yet, there isn't.

It wasn't really a conquest of the city. Since he made it seem like he won it "fairly". Technology isn't everything when you have people here with different powers that you can't account for. And I don't know, he won and then got really quiet and eventually left the world. What he was planning, I don't know. But he had a lot of people watching him. Especially Ozpin. He'd have been the first to shut Wily down when he eventually stepped out of line.

I have served Satsuki-sama for years now. I would gladly lay down my life for her. And I can say without a doubt that your concerns are utterly and completely unfounded.

The video screen flickered a few times, Koishi fumbling it before the camera had centered on her. She was in her uniform, though she had removed her hat.

"Hello there mister." Her voice was light, but serious. "I can understand being upset over Miss White's actions, and while some of what you say is true, you bring it up without knowing the full context. I'm psychic and have helped Miss White through a lot of problems and I doubt its as black and white as you think. For a great many reasons."

"That doesn't excuse any wrongdoings or any poor decisions she may have had, and you aren't wrong about her liking power. Honestly, it would be bad to have someone in power who didn't enjoy it. What matters is what is done with that power. She hasn't been perfect, but if nothing else she does learn from her mistakes and seeks to better those under her charge. Just like any leader wants."

Koishi pursed her lips, frowning a little... before switching the feed to private.

"If you would like I can set up a meeting with her for you. It probably won't sway your vote but it might hopefully clear up any bitterness between you and her."

"I will say though, if you go and see her she'll probably talk down at you again, but that's not because she doesn't like you as a person. She talks down to most people, regardless of their species or position. Even me at first, and I'm a youkai. That is- an ancient monster from her culture who are greatly respected and feared. She puts great value on strength of character. By wearing such a rigid face, she feels she's showing her strength so that people can feel confident in investing trust in her."

"I don't know if this is a right or wrong way to lead people. It's just the way she chooses. It's a belief that stemmed from many of the great and disciplined warriors of Japan. If you have strength, wear it for all to see to set an example for others to follow and so that those without strength can lean on you. I can't give context to everything she's done since some of this happened before I arrived and I'm not exactly a mind reader anymore, but I think its a good idea if you take the time to understand it better before making assumptions. All I know is she has positive intent, so please try not to hold it against her."

Someone that doesn't enjoy power is less likely to step out of line and misuse it. And when literally the first thing a person does with power when they get it is try to force others to do what they want, that is a bad sign and its telling of the sort of person you are.

There is no clearing of any bitterness between us and I'm not interested having a sit down with her when she already had her chance. Someone tried to resolve things between us just last week and she told them that they weren't my parent so they shouldn't try to resolve anything. And that was to someone that is on better terms with us.

I know what it means to be a leader. I've many met leaders. I am a leader. I have my own team and they trust me. And I would never treat any of them the way that she has treated me. Yeah, I don't lead a huge team, but when you have a role like hers people should be able to respect and trust you. You can't trust and respect a person who threatens and lobs insults at you. That's not how a protector acts. Nothing excuses what she has done.

[Athrun carefully thinks over what he's going to say before he speaks. He's never been very good with politics, but he has had experiences with politicians abusing their power. But at the same time, he also has plenty of firsthand experience with reform.]

I've worked closely with Satsuki in recent months, especially with my subarchway being opened. To be honest, based on my dealings with her, none of this sounds in-character for her. How old is this evidence?

[Athrun tries to word it in a way that the implication of his conclusion is present: It's possible she has reformed her ways of thinking. He also doesn't want to tell Sun he's wrong to feel the way he does -- just that people are indeed capable of change.]

...That being said... If you don't mind my asking, I'd like to learn more about the discrimination you faced. Bigotry is an issue that's directly impacted my life, as well, and if it's an issue, then I'm going to broach the subject with her.

Mostly all of it happened just last year. I personally don't believe someone can change in just a year. Especially when a reason encounter shows you that they are the same sort of person.


[And Sun appreciates that. He won't tell him that he's in the wrong for not sharing his opinion on Satsuki. He believes its everyone's right to form their own opinion on a person. He's never once told anyone they should hate and dislike her. He just pointed out her past actions and said his own feelings on her.]

As I said in the post, she made threats to me at my friends party. Referred to me as an urchin, made comments about my significance. If you have been on the receiving end of looks from people that that suggest you are beneath them, then you know what I mean when I said she gave me a look like that the moment she saw me. In Nova City she has confronted me and referred to me as a menace and told me to leave her city. Just last week, when I suggested that I had proof that the man she decided to work for cheated his way in, she said to me that if what I was saying was true, then it would be harmful to me and my friends, which I pointed out that that sounded like a threat. She retraced it, but that is still something that doesn't sit well with me.

[He doesn't put a lot of trust into politicians, guardians, whatever label they have assigned to them. He's already decided to be loyal to Weiss, especially thanks to her competence and ability to follow through with what she says, but that doesn't stop him from wanting to know all the facts. There are some disturbing things mentioned in Sun's post, but he can't compare the political state of this world to what's happened in his.]

It looks like she has a lot of people willing to defend her. Maybe she should be speaking for herself about this, to the public, instead of focusing on a powerful speech and letting other people do it for her.

[Politics always would be a messy business. That was something that wouldn't change in this or any world. Because there was always going to be someone that wants to bend or twist the system so they can get or do what they want.]

I've spoken to her enough that I can already expect she'd be less than civil with me if she replied. The only reason for her really to even bother saying something is help wipe away any tarnish what I said or revealed has done to her image. Because she's never going to sway me to respect her.

It seems to me that the majority of your accusations seem either against Dr. Wily rather than her, against a policy she later withdrew, and personal clashes.

For starters, do you really believe she can be held accountable for all her predecessor's actions, when you yourself admit that you do not know if she was aware of it? Your evidence is entirely an attack on this man's character, yet you have no evidence on Satsuki's motivations for following him. Believe me, working for someone in order to destroy them from the inside is a valid strategy, if an enemy cannot be easily approached head-on. A man of that nature seems extremely vulnerable to this.

The man in question left even before I arrived, over a year ago. Do you not think that, had she agreed fully with Dr. Wily's view of city-domination, she would have continued it? Whilst you could argue this 'compulsory education' was perhaps inline with his views, she abandoned this mentality once it became apparent that this was not compatible with the varieties of backgrounds people had in this World.

It seems a little crass to sully her own reputation based entirely upon another who she may, or may not, have realised the full corruption of and may, or may not, have been trying to stop his plans from within. Especially one who has not been in this world for such a long time.

Even aside from that, as for the insults against you, you seem to have a surprising lack of evidence that this is not simply hearsay. In fact, your only evidence on Satsuki is over a year old. Do you really believe someone incapable of change in that time, when she has already proven that? I repeat my above statement about the compulsory education plans. If anything, you are the one who seems utterly unwilling to change, not her.

A charismatic argument you might make, but there are countless flaws in it.

Sun returns to find his room occupied. There's a slight teenage girl in a mess of fashionable pink and an ocean of blonde hair sitting on a chair poking through his stuff. She turns as he enters, spinning around on the swivel chair.

"Oh, there you are! I was starting to wonder if this was the wrong room!"

[Sun is a little startled as he walks into the room, he had his communication device in one hand looking at something when he heard the voice. Immediately, he put one hand behind his back, ready to grab his staff if he had to.]

Who in the world are you? [He clenches his device for a brief moment and waits for his heart to stop racing before he slips the device into his pocket.]
