FORWARD DATED: Dec. 23rd: Christmas Party & Cheer: OPEN

[ooc: Feel free to make top posts! Levy's invited her friends but its more or less an open invitation. Come crash a party~ She'll also send another message and directions before the party]
[Levy goes above and beyond to make this party amazing. She has even hired someone to cater it which she is thankful for because her skills with cooking usually extend to reading directions and boiling water. She makes sure to have a mixture of drinks both alcoholic and not, very much the Fairy Tail idea of a party. Of course there are decorations all over the outside and inside of the house and a few sprigs of mistletoe that wait unsuspecting in doorways to ensnare guests. Of course kisses on the hand and cheek count just as much as kisses on the lips.
Knowing that the house might be to small Levy's set up a fire pit outside, allowing people to enjoy the warmth of the flame while surrounded by the cold air. The party is scheduled into the evening and eventually stars will dot the blanket of dark that covers the night sky. Levy has also planned fireworks which can't possibly go wrong!
Holiday music plays inside mostly from a CD that she bought and people are welcome to dance if they want to. Most of the songs are slower though there are a few quick ones in the mix. She set up a few games hoping that it was enough to keep everyone happy and entertained. She might be trying a little to hard for things to go well.
In the main room there is a large excellently decorated tree. Beneath it Levy has put her gifts to her friends. It's definitely worth checking out however everyone will discover they got books for Christmas. They all suit who they are address to but they are books with a card tapped to the brightly colored wrapping that expresses holiday greetings. A few of her close friends have special gifts though Levy has them stashed away for later.]

Party
It depends on the science. [She reads a lot.] I know terms and theories but I've never been skilled with the practice. I just read about it.
[She points over at a series of textbooks against the far wall. All of which are about biology.]
I started learning more a few months back. My friend, Pascal, said that the barriers were alive. I wanted to see if I could learn how.
Party
[But he's caught off momentarily by her commentary on the barriers and he stops, looking to her.] Alive? How so?
Party
[It sounds familiar and so Levy dives off the bed to pick up a medical text that she had next to her bed. She expertly flips through the index and then the pages to quickly go where T-cell's were listed. Levy reads very quickly so after a moment she looks up with an expression that would be best described as 'oh']
Alive, like cells holding it together.
[She's been trying to determine details but the samples are at the Schnee Company.]
Party
[He frowns, looking thoughtful.]
It lends credibility to your theory of cloning.
Party
I guess so but that also suggests that our complete history is recorded here which means they know us. Why give us selective memories.
Party
I haven't the faintest, though it's possible they need us just as we are.
Party
That makes sense too.
[Meeting those who were in power over the worlds had been odd. Levy can't really describe it. She shifts on her bed thinking about it for a moment longer.]
Party
Party
[She holds up a finger before pressing it to her lips.]
I might be a colon or something like that but I'm still me. I still think as I do and feel as I do. Even if I were to meet another me I'd say we were both real.
There is a lot that makes a person themselves.
Party
Precisely. Even if two of you, identical in every where, were to arrive, you would immediately be different people. Your experiences once arriving would differ, changing you.
Party
[There is a slight pause and Levy almost jumps from her bed with a smile. A hand reaches out towards Balthiers in her haste looking really excited.]
That's it! They want us to have experiences and to live. That's why so many strange things happen here like pokemon appearing for a month. They want to see everything that people can do. [Love and hate are very powerful emotions.] When the barrier's opened they probably thought it was worth anything to close them and keep this world together which is why they answered the question.
I might be able to test this!
[She releases his hand and then reaches for a piece of paper she had on her desk.]
I just need to be ready incase something they don't expect happens again.
[It isn't as if they don't have time.]
Party
And how do you plan on testing this?
Party
[She scribbles a few more words before placing the paper off to the side.]
I'm going to ask the guardians a very specific question. Until then I'll find other ways to check things out.
[She's been at this for awhile and has yet to lose her spark.]
Party
Party
[Only one other time.]
Well if you want a specific answer you should ask a specific question.
Party
Party
Why did they answer before? Honestly? I think they want us here so they'll do what they can do keep up here, even answering questions.
Party
Party
The key is finding an answer that will lead to answering more than just one question.
[Except that it's hard to guess as to what that is.]
I'm sorry! You probably want to enjoy the party don't you?
Party
[Of course, he mostly came here to talk to Levy, but yes. Parties are good things, especially good parties.]
But I think we might have made some progress here today.
Party
[Levy smiles before leading Balthier from her room. She probably shouldn't have boys in her room anyway.]
Party
[He follows her dutifully from her room.]
And have more questions than answers.
Party
That's true. I'm glad we talked.
Party
We should make a habit of it, and maybe next time avoid business.
Party
[Levy smiles brightly at Balthier before letting her gaze flick around the party.]
You have fun. I'm going to check on things in the kitchen.
