[Belle had started to feel a bit better since her little trip to the Dream Docks and she was starting to get back into the pattern of being as social as she could be. Today was no exception as she made a post, all the while trying her best to smile.]

It's nearly the end of the year already. It was only two months ago since I arrived, so it feels...strange knowing that.

[For once she didn't appear to be reading and there were no books near by, in fact there were many different things she had been thinking about, so much so she hadn't decided to read.]

I guess because of it, I've been thinking. With everything we have been through both here and at home... I guess I'm going to ask what other peoples New Year Resolutions will be. [She paused for a moment.] I know people usually go with getting fit and things like that... but I'm curious as to what people might try and do to change.

[She looks to the side for a moment, as if thinking something over.] I think for me... I'm going to try and be a better person and follow my dream of going out in the world and exploring it more. Even if there are only five cities who knows what they have within those walls.

[She gives a light chuckle.] Also I have some personal goals I want to achieve, but those right now are secret.

Ah, then will you tell me about your New Year? Is it any different, or if it is how exactly?

Dunno enough about yours to compare. There's like spring cleaning, and trying not to hold onto grudges and stuff. It's also considered good luck to visit a lot of friends and relatives.

And the food ... Nowruz koje,it's kinda like porridge, that can have different varieties, but it requires seven ingredients...
[ He goes more into food than anything else. Really, food is his main priority.]

I don't think the new year has anything like that, or at least the one I am aware of. People use it to drink and celebrate a new year coming around.

[She smiled, still enjoying learning about another type of new year really.]

That's an interesting kind of porridge. But what ingredients does it have?

I don't have any, but now that you mention it, I should probably get out and explore too. Especially if I'm going to be stuck here.

Truth be told, I'm not used to having this much free time.

Nor am I if I am perfectly honest. I mean it's all nice and well working in a library, but...I did want to go out there and see the world. Here we can go and see the cities instead.

If there are plenty of people and no other librarians, it can be. But I had been considering doing something else I did back home, but that idea has since changed.

[So now she hopes time won't be such an issue.]

I didn't know it until I went to a world with no magic. It seems people make these resolutions in order to do something better during the next year or make a promise to do something. That's what I'm planning on doing anyway.

I don't know. There are just some things even I don't understand fully.

Perhaps I should quit doing so many locked audio communications? It might not be a bad thing to put my face out into the public openly again. It will happen in the future eventually...

Why is it that you do such feeds? I'm curious. For some it's because they are hiding something, but not always.

I've been protecting and hiding an entire species for ten centuries. I'm so used to covering every single potential loophole and considering each game of chess ten moves ahead that I've formed several very obvious habits. I have no need of such protection but it's hard to let go of the habit even when I'm the only one here. [A slight pause.] There is... one other thing I'm a little wary about.

Set being the word here. Sometimes people might not be able to do them for one reason or another, but I know I will try my hardest.
