[Terra smiles shyly at the screen, it’s set up on her counter and shows a small view of her modest kitchen.]

Hello, I’m trying to learn how to cook. I’m not too good at it but I have some good cookbooks I found at the book store. I have a few people who have already offered to help but if anyone else is willing I’d be grateful.

[She knows a few people who will rush over after seeing her video. She’s invited them to learn to cook with her though she doesn’t know who will teach them. Terra has everything prepared with a cookbook open, the refrigerator stocked while pots and pans littered the counter tops. She doesn’t even know which would be best to use.

She’ll wait to hear a sound at the door, spending the extra time reading the intro to the cookbook while sitting at the kitchen table. It goes over food pre, names of equipment as well as common techniques to be used in the kitchen.]

"A steak." She nodded. "Recipes involving steak are generally quite simple. Does it specify what kind of steak? Or what cut or part of the animal it is? Different cuts have different amounts of meat and fat in them and are cooked slightly differently."

She closed her eyes in thought.

"And for the vegetables... Mm... I will bring a few things with me, but I do have something in mind."

[Terra skims over the page carefully and then nods her head.]

It doesn't say. It just has a weight.

[She'd have to buy it anyway.]

What vegetables will you bring?

"I see." A nod. "I have a general idea then. You'll have to mind meat like that more when you cook it."

"And I plan on bringing spices mostly. You have the makings for a very nice soup. Several nice soups, actually. Meat or no. Actually, if you have several fresh pumpkins, a careful application of heat can turn them into very attractive and edible bowls should you wish to take such a step. The trick is a more directional heat as opposed to normal baking so the peel stays hard and the inside softens."

Also if it's annoying that I write in action brackets I can change to prose, it's just easier for me

I'll try and have things ready for you when you arrive then.

[She tries to think of everything they have at the house and what they can use. The oven doesn't seem like it will work out well.]

"I see. I will give you about thirty minutes to prepare then, if it is adequate. I will have everything prepared to bring by then too. And possibly more. I will have to take some time to explore the ingredients... After all, bringing an idea with sub-par execution would not be acceptable."
