Hello, I’m trying to learn how to cook. I’m not too good at it but I have some good cookbooks I found at the book store. I have a few people who have already offered to help but if anyone else is willing I’d be grateful.

[She knows a few people who will rush over after seeing her video. She’s invited them to learn to cook with her though she doesn’t know who will teach them. Terra has everything prepared with a cookbook open, the refrigerator stocked while pots and pans littered the counter tops. She doesn’t even know which would be best to use.
She’ll wait to hear a sound at the door, spending the extra time reading the intro to the cookbook while sitting at the kitchen table. It goes over food pre, names of equipment as well as common techniques to be used in the kitchen.]

[He's trying to pretend that he doesn't feel that heated feeling in his cheeks.]
Anyway. Let's...let's work on the potato cakes.
[With a shaky hand, he grabs a potato and starts peeling with surprising zeal.]

[Terra is confused but joins him in peeling the potatoes.]

All right, we're almost ready to put this on, too. And we have some time left on the quiche.
[Action]
[Terra nods trying to remember everything they've gone over. She's made pancakes with Yugi so she at least knows how to sort of pan fry things.]
Do you mind starting so I can watch?
[Frying still makes her nervous.]
[Action]
[Athrun puts oil in the pan and the uncooked potato cakes, and puts them on the stove top. He gets to work, making sure they're thoroughly cooked on all sides. If nothing else, he's extremely good at getting them exactly where he wants them in the pan.]

Is that how they are supposed to look?
[She leans a little closer to his arm peeking over his shoulder.]
[Action]
[He's being very careful. He doesn't want to splash any hot oil on either of them.]
Finding them appetizing yet?
[Action]
It smells good.

[He's right. The potato cakes are done soon after, and he puts them on two plates. The quiche still has some time left to it.]
I hope you didn't eat a big lunch.

No.
[She mostly lives off of simple meals anyway, this is going to be interesting to try. As Athrun finishes up Terra begins to set the table. She sets it for three however her roommate is out so she'll probably just leave him some left overs for later.]

Are you expecting your roommate to come back?
[Action]
No, I thought to leave extra food out for him.
[It'll just be the two of them but Terra is always thinking of others needs before her own.]
Is that okay... [She hasn't even asked.]
[Action]
I suppose it isn't a problem. Assuming we have food left over, that is.
[He had been expecting to make a meal for two. Of course, it could turn out that one of them didn't like the food, or had a smaller-than-average appetite...]
[Action]
Of course.
[She doesn't really eat a lot and she doesn't want to take food from Athrun if they end up eating all of it. Ronan can just eat salad because there is always things for that in the fridge.]
Would you like something to drink?
[Action]
[Once the potato cakes are done, he starts doling them out onto the plates.]

[She doesn't drink the stuff but she's gotten used to smelling it each morning.]
What would you like?
[Action]
[He wants something cold to counterbalance the heat of the food.]
[Action]
Once she is done she walks over to the table handing him the cool glass and then placing a glass of water at her place setting.]

[He takes his seat.]

Um... thank you, for all of your help.
[She doesn't know if she can make these things alone just yet but she's learned a lot which is truly what her aim is.]

[He's been subsisting well enough on frozen food and restaurants so far. He probably would have kept going had it not been for her request.
Once he speaks, he cuts off a piece of potato cake and slides it into his mouth. It seems it's cool enough for human consumption now.]

It is, isn't it? We did a good job on this. It tastes pretty good considering how simple the dish is.
