[Sakura is a medium and while it isn’t a gift she uses all the time she is using it per Fai’s request to learn about those who call Everglade their home. She’s running all over Everglade talking to ghosts, spirits; some visible and some not to get their opinion of things.

In most cases it looks like she’s talking to air and each time she always seems to have a worried expression on her face. She has a clipboard in her arms and a pencil which she uses to scribble down notes.]

Are you sure?

[She asks the empty air in front of her with a frown.]

Okay.

[Sakura looks down at and nods feeling discouraged in her task.]

[When the feed flicks on it looks like Sakura is over thinking. She’s chewing her bottom lip and there is a second of silence before she remembers that she had turned the phone on.]

Does anyone know what it feels like when we die?

[That sounds depressing.]

I mean… I know it’s sad but… I guess I’ve been thinking about it a lot.

[The dead deserve to rest, they sounded so sad to Sakura and the princess has begun to put the weight of their happiness on her shoulders.]

[Sakura looks down after the familiar face graces her screen. He sounds almost... disappointed in her.]

I'm a medium... I can speak to spirits... they all sound so sad.

[She pauses looking away.]

I just want them to rest and to be happy.

[Not disappointed, really. Just sad for her.]

I'm not surprised that's what you want for them, but...I don't think knowing what it's like to die is going to help you understand why they're all so sad.

[He takes a breath.]

See, when we die, at least we believe when we die, your soul goes to the underworld, where you get to live in the Creator's light for all eternity, happily with the loved ones who made the journey before you. That's not a reason to be sad, right?

[Sakura shakes her head.]

It's just sad if you aren't able to do that. What if your spirit gets stuck here and you can never see them...

[He looks thoughtful for a moment.]

But they'd have to be stuck here for a reason.

I don't know.

[A hand comes to rest over her heart.]

Not all of them know the reason... they miss their loved ones.

Maybe...someone else bound them here.

[And that is...beyond sad.]

I don't know... each archway is separated. Maybe they can't find the pathway back to their heaven.

[She believes there is one for each world.]

[That idea hadn't even occurred to him.]

...can you ask them?

I can...

[She doesn't know if she should keep talking to the dead.]

[Richard desperately wants to know if the dead even have any information on the subject, but after a moment, he shakes his head. It's wrong to use someone else to ask his questions for him.]

You shouldn't. Maybe there's a way to help them, but you shouldn't shoulder that burden alone.

[Sakura looks away from the camera.]

I can't stop hearing them...

[It isn't something she has control over.]

[Yes, it actually was possible for him to look more concerned.]

Then you should get out of there.

[Sakura shakes her head.]

I have a something I must do.

[Richard can respect that, but...]

What do you have to do?

I want to help those in Everglade.

[It's a rather complicated political thing.]

...does Everglade have a problem with spirits?

[Aside from the flyer, he really hasn't heard anything about the place.

Except apparently there are necromancers. He can figure out what that means. It's...disgusting to say the least.]

Ah yes, there are a lot of spirits and undead there.

You can't hold yourself responsible for doing something about them alone. You need help.

I'm the only one I know who can talk to them.

[She doesn't mind accepting help but she doesn't know how others might be able to help.]

Maybe that isn't necessary. Maybe they don't know what's keeping them tied to Everglade. Maybe it's something about the place. It's another path to pursue, and that person wouldn't need to speak with the spirits to do it.

[Sakura shakes her head.]

There are things they need to finish. Maybe with that I can help?

[Richard frowns again, this time in concern less than confusion.]

Maybe you can, but you're only one person.

I'll ask others for help. I know I'm not alone.

[She pauses awkwardly.]

Thank you.

[Yeah, it's awkward, because Richard has no idea what she's thanking him for.]

[She's thanking him because he's really nice and maybe a little cute.]

So we'll talk again right?

[She feels her cheeks turning red.]
