[Sakura is a medium and while it isn’t a gift she uses all the time she is using it per Fai’s request to learn about those who call Everglade their home. She’s running all over Everglade talking to ghosts, spirits; some visible and some not to get their opinion of things.

In most cases it looks like she’s talking to air and each time she always seems to have a worried expression on her face. She has a clipboard in her arms and a pencil which she uses to scribble down notes.]

Are you sure?

[She asks the empty air in front of her with a frown.]

Okay.

[Sakura looks down at and nods feeling discouraged in her task.]

[When the feed flicks on it looks like Sakura is over thinking. She’s chewing her bottom lip and there is a second of silence before she remembers that she had turned the phone on.]

Does anyone know what it feels like when we die?

[That sounds depressing.]

I mean… I know it’s sad but… I guess I’ve been thinking about it a lot.

[The dead deserve to rest, they sounded so sad to Sakura and the princess has begun to put the weight of their happiness on her shoulders.]

Some are, some aren't. Kinda depends on the person and their mental state. I didn't mind 'em, but just because I didn't doesn't mean someone else wouldn't have a panic attack over it. Especially if they knew the reason they see them.

[Of course, some fearing the butterflies is one thing the Cardinals were banking on when they sent "Orlok" out with his purple butterfly visage.]

Their existence is kinda sad, really.

[Sakura nods.]

It sounds like it. It's a shame since butterflies are so pretty... [She pauses for a moment and then smiles.] Maybe that's why it's butterflies. They can guide the souls to the afterlife and are suppose to tell people not to be afraid.

[Your smile's contagious, Sakura. Seeing her smile brings a small one to his face as well.]

It's possible. And some old stories say that butterflies are the embodiment of souls, so who knows, it could be the manifestation of other souls to put the dying at ease.

That doesn't sound to scary when you think about it like that.

[She'd like to see purple butterfly's when she was to die.]

I never put too much thought into it 'till now. It's almost weird knowin' that's something other worlds don't have.

[He does close his eyes thoughtfully for a moment before opening them again.]

Do you live in Everglade, Sakura?

Um... no. I live in Genessia with Fai. I just work in Everglade.

Fai? That's the new Guardian for Everglade, isn't it?

[He was only half paying attention to the Guardian elections and who won out of them. He was too busy with his own bounties and work to care.]

That's not exactly the nicest place to have to work. I'm sure you're fine, but if you get any trouble you need help with, you feel free to call me.

[And he says that with genuine concern. He's only wandered into Everglade a few times, but it's enough that he's a little worried about Sakura. And him being concerned about someone is an absolute rarity.]

Yes he is that's why I'm working here. I'm his Deputy.

[So far she's helping by talking to the citizens which has then made her a little bit sad.]

So far I've been safe and I have the little bit of magic that Fai and others have taught me.

[She smiles.]

But I'll make sure to call you if I need it.

Deputy, huh? You've got quite the job on your hands now.

[Now this whole 'talking to spirits and asking about death' thing is starting to make a little more sense. He gives her a small nod.]

That goes for your Fai friend too. Give me a call anytime, day or night.

[He gives a playful wink.]

I'll even make sure I work for free, just for you guys.

[Sakura smiles; money isn't really an issue since Fai has been in Genessia so long and owns several cafe's.]

You don't have to work for free.

[Her smile widens.]

But I do feel safe when you are around.

Then I'm doin' my job right.

[He looks a little smug about that, but the genuine smile on his face is probably showing through a little more.]

I wouldn't feel right chargin' pretty girls. [He pauses.]

Unless he's the one payin', then by all means.

[That grin on his face and his tone made it clear that he was joking about it. He almost wouldn't feel right charging them for anything.]

What if I made you a cake in return?

[Sakura really likes baking and making people cakes seems to be a good substitute for anything else.]

[He closes his eyes, tilting his head slightly and resting his hand on his cheek with a smile.]

You're a lady after my own robotic heart.

[The way to a man's heart is through his stomach. And cyborg or no, it's still true for Gale.]

Then I'll make you a cake.

[She pauses for a moment.]

What's your favorite flavor?

[Oh, Sakura, you are absolutely one of Gale's favorite people.]

I've always been partial to lemon cakes, but by all means, surprise me. I've never met a cake I didn't like.

[She'll make the best lemon cake ever!]
