[ Yui wants to believe Mikoshiba, she does. He's a good friend. But to be fair- he's been trying to get them together since he met them, it's hard to tell what to take with a grain of salt when it comes to her love life. Which is what prompts her to seek a little anonymous internet help... ]

I know there are a lot of opinions that go around about different species around here...

What about romance between them?

If one were an immortal being or deity, and the other person was a young human... would that be acceptable?

I can't help but think there would be some problems, and I don't want to put anyone through unnecessary trouble or heartache. I don't even know if it's really reciprocated so maybe this is strange to ask in the first place, but I have much experience with dating at all. I'm nervous and after a recent incident, things keep feeling strange whenever I'm around him. I tried to talk it over with a friend, but there were so many confusing parts. Everything else I've thought of as a reason not to are things that we can work on if he felt the same way, but...

It can't be that simple, can it?

No, that wouldn't be acceptable. Miscegenation is always wrong. Unless you actually want to be harassed by a jealous Hera or something.

But there's another reason you should stay single forever: you asked strangers on the internet for help regarding a very personal and very strange issue. Which means you're probably retarded and shouldn't even think about reproducing.

As a God...dating a human is not something I've ever thought about. I have met pleasant enough people since arriving here, yet I doubt a relationship would work unless we learnt not to fear each other.

...I doubt that makes sense.

Gods are vulnerable, and capable of love just as humans are.

Of course it's possible. There will always be judgemental idiots around, as you have already seen, but love can blossom between different kinds. Between humans and Gods, or demons, or angels.

As you said, there will be problems to work through, as with any relationship...perhaps the main thing to consider is the fact that your lifespans are so vastly different. If that is something he is happy with, I see no reason why you two couldn't be together. After all, love is truly the most beautiful of emotions.

[Flonne may not be here, but Vyers is nearly as much of a love freak as she is. Although he'd given up his memories of what the feeling felt like, he at least felt he could offer this person some insight.]

There was fumbling before Koishi appeared on screen. "Well, yes. Of course it's possible. But it's also a taboo. I'm a youkai and I've lived a very long time and I've heard many stories about relationships between humans and youkai. As you mentioned before though it's bound to end badly. the stories I've heard end with the two running away and the human dying of age or it ends with the two not running away and the youkai getting killed by an angry mob... The surviving party in either case may or may not commit suicide. It depends on the tale."

She tilted her head. "Though I suppose if you could find a means to make yourself immortal then there isn't any issue with running away. Likewise if you could make the immortal into a mortal creature safely. Both are possible."

Hera-san and Zeus-san aren't involved in this, thankfully. Zeus-san and I don't see eye to eye... He's pretty scary too. I've never met Hera-san and I imagine she sees a different side to him than most of us do, especially since Hades-san, Dionysus-san, and Apollon-san are good people.

Regardless though... When you tell someone they're stupid for asking it makes your opinion have a lot less impact, even if you had been in the right mythology set.

Hades is the guy who raped Persephone, right? That's your idea of a good person?

there's only one god I've ever really been scared of and that's because he kidnapped us and threatened to turn us to stone if we didn't obey him... I haven't met any god here I would be scared of.

If this is who I think, it makes sense. I hope you find someone whether they're human or not.

That never happened, even in the myth you're questioning...

Thank you. It's a little complicated beyond him being a god too, but I think my friend was right about at least talking to him about everything...

I don't want him to suffer if he does feel that way about me though..

I don't think we would run away and humans aren't typically the ones who have problems with this good, even if he didn't used to like us..

Look, you seem earnest so I'll try to clue you in. As someone who's been called 'god' quite a few times, let me tell you, the gods are not good lovers. Promiscuity, jealousy, incest (Hi Zeus & Hera), & adultery are all par for the course. And that's just their romantic lives. It's not something you want a part of.

I know, I know. You're special, this time it'll be different, you can change things, I don't know him like you know him, twoo luv conquers all. I've seen where that goes. It isn't pretty.

All that matters is that you care about them. Besides, Thoth always said the gods acted immature! It’s just like in the Cinderella play. They were different, but they loved eachother.

I don't know about Bernini-san's character since I haven't met him, but even I know that sculpture is about Pluto and Prosperina... and he's an artist from century's after the story he was paid to sculpt who's never actually met Hades-san. I doubt he was somehow privy to details about myths that happened centuries before his time that no one else was so much as he was paid to depict whatever he was told.

[ Yui is a fairly decent student, but more than that, once she found out she was with gods and they all needed last names, she took it upon herself to look into all of their myths to try to understand them better. If she couldn't understand them, she couldn't expect them to understand humanity like she was tasked with. ]

I don't know if he's made all of those mistakes in the past, but there's a lot I've learned about a number of gods that isn't what's in the stories most people have heard, just as I've learned that there's more to what is. If you'd rather trust a sculpture than someone who's actually met

It isn't a Greek god anyway and humans have all of those problems in relationships, too, so that isn't much of an argument.. but I understand that you're trying to warn me and I appreciate it. I didn't ask this question to be coddled, so there are a lot of things to consider.. even if you've decided to lump gods from all myths into one despite that they're incredibly different people.

(Zeus-san isn't very pleasant though, you're right about that.. To other gods and humans alike.)

I don't have magic. I'm really just a normal human... I attend school and have a family and friends, I play sports and help out where I can, but I don't have anything like that. I don't think he'd want me to change what I am either..
