[She sighs and adjusts the backpack full of stuff she was carrying before speaking again.]

[Because if there's fighting to be done, she'd rather do that. Anything to keep her occupied.]

Super-summary is that any human caught out at night has no right to police defense from monsters. And one particular monster's leading the others to take thorough advantage. It's okay as long as you stay indoors or out of Everglade, so far at least?

[ She isn't, but the text did what she needed it to. Roman wanted Ruby to know, Emerald had exactly zero other allies here. Aside from maybe a couple of people leftover from the last time she was here who still don't know. It may behoove her to look them up. For now, she'll leave Ruby be. Unlike Roman, Emerald thinks it's probably a bad idea to poke the very upset bear who just lost two friends and a sister's arm when it's partially your fault. ]
