[Well this... certainly isn't where he's supposed to be. He was supposed to be waiting inside a wall and ambush the Survey Corps and yet he's... in some other world? Why? They were so close to fulfilling their mission. They were so close to actually making things right. Why this?

Reiner frowned at the hologram as it ended and went through the belongings he had on hand. He still had his gear on him, at least. There was still plenty of gas and blades. Not that he would need to worry about that if this place was 'relatively safe'.

Guess he should find himself a place to think things through first.]

[After wandering near Bay for a while, he sends out a message. It isn't as if he really knows who to expect to be here, but he might as well check just in case.]

I'm probably not the first one to say that this is one hell of a way to wake up and that I have business to attend to back home so I'd rather be there. [His voice is kinda annoyed.] Since that isn't something that can be fixed right now... I'm looking for my fellow warriors. You should know who I am without me saying.

[Juuust in case there are enemies around.]


(ooc: as a note for anyone encountering him who knows others- he's currently not wearing any survey corps clothes, but his gear is the same as others'.

also apparently he managed to see the hologram before it was destroyed again 8( )

[An unimpressed gaze looks back at Reiner through the video feed. She looks neither displeased or relieved, just observant.]

[Armin lights up at hearing Reiner's voice. He needed something good to happen - with Annie showing up, and then Jean and Marco vanishing, not to mention all the upheaval with Weiss and her friends, and the way he'd been burying himself with work, he has not been having a good week. He doesn't respond to the video, instead heading out to the Bay to meet his friend - if not for that, he might have heard enough of his conversations to become suspicious, and figure out Reiner's identity. But he has no such luck.

He arrives at the Bay a few minutes later, calling out and breaking into a smile when he sees the man.] Reiner!

[When he gets close enough, Reiner will see that he's changed, in a number of ways. He older than Reiner will remember, by at least a couple years - leaner than he used to be, and more worn and tired, too. He has a number noticeable scars and marks here and there. He's also about an inch taller, and dressed in better clothes than he'd ever owned in his previous life, back home - business casual, a dress shirt with a grey vest over it, and black pants. And though it's not obvious, the way he carries himself is subtly different, too.]

[Once Reiner hears Armin's voice he immediately puts his hands on his swords and takes them out as he turns to look at the boy. He's ready for a fight, though he doesn't right away. Not after noticing that Armin was... different. Dressed to impress, older, taller and bruised. Well, he hadn't seen the guy in a while but... there wasn't enough time for actually that much change.

On top of that Armin sounded happy to see Reiner. Why? Was this another trick by them? to catch him off guard. Well, Reiner isn't about to fall for that. Instead, he makes sure to seem like he could attack anytime - even if Armin didn't have any weapons.]

What do you want?

[Armin stops just outside Reiner's reach when the man abruptly draws his weapons, blinking in confusion.] What do I want? I'm excited to see you - for me, it's been more than two years.

Reiner... what are you doing?

[Action]

[Reiner noticed the confusion in Armin's eyes, but kept his form steady. It wouldn't be surprising if it was all an act. Coming here weaponless - acting innocent. What good did it do for them?

The different world could mean that Armin might have some different weapons on him. It was clear that the guy had been here for a while - however that was possible.]

That won't work on me, Armin. I won't be shaken by your act.

[Just one small move from Armin would be enough to make Reiner move and attempt to stab one of the blades into Armin's chest as quickly as possible. Just one small move. He looked ready to go at any time.]

[Armin continues to look utterly confused.]

My act? Reiner...

[And without thinking about it, he takes a step forward.]

[ It was worrying to not see Armin come home when he normally does since Sertoria got used to everyone's schedules since being invited to stay with the others. Since Levi was preoccupied with taking care of Petra and the others were busy, she opted to leave a note explaining where she'd be if anyone was looking for her, take her gear and leave.

It doesn't take her too long when she utilizes her powers somewhat to find the scene of the crime and her first reaction wasn't too pleased. She can see Reiner hunched over Armin's body when she's hovering mid-air and she feels both sick inside and also anger. Senseless acts of murder never sit well with the angel, and this is definitely one of them.

However, she opts to smile like she normally does and yet, this time, this one doesn't quite reach her eyes and her normally warm eyes are steeled. She drops down a safe distance away from Reiner, gaze transfixed on him and not minding the blood all too much. She's seen too much of it already to last her a lifetime anyway. ]

Are you satisfied? Is this justifiable to you?

[ Her tone is also devoid of warmth, resembling something like cool-tempered steel. Hello, Reiner Braun. Are you terrified yet? No?

You should be. ]

[Reiner shifts his attention to the woman. She doesn't look familiar at all, yet she has the same equipment as he has. She also looks visibly angry while smiling. Something about her gives him a bad feeling.

Regardless, he points one of his bloodied swords at the woman]

What's it to you?

[ Cute, Sertoria thinks, when Reiner points his weapon at her. Her expression doesn't change any and instead, she steps forward just to see what more he'd do. It's been so long since she's done something of this nature, after all. ]

Does it make you feel better knowing that you took the life of another human being? Will it help you sleep at night?

[ That tone of her's doesn't change, even when she's staring him down. ]

Or did you do it because you wanted to? Well?

[Reiner can't be sure what his opponents skills might be so instead of attacking, he makes his defenses better.]

I did it because I had to. He gave me no other choice.

[ That is the wrong answer, Reiner. ]

No other choice? How about the one that you leave him be and be the better man? Or is that beyond you?

[ When did it suddenly get so dark, though? It seems like the both of them aren't even in Genessia anymore with how it appears that it's just the two of them here in total nothingness. She takes a few more steps forward, this time putting her finger on the bloodied blade. ]

Come on, if no one is giving you any choices here, are you not going to attack me too?

[There's his calm arrival and then there's Cinder's ... Not so calm arrival if all that explosive fire to destroy the hologram are any sign of it. Ooops?]

[When Reiner returns to the hologram he notices the fire and the woman, frowning at the scene of crime.]
