[Well this... certainly isn't where he's supposed to be. He was supposed to be waiting inside a wall and ambush the Survey Corps and yet he's... in some other world? Why? They were so close to fulfilling their mission. They were so close to actually making things right. Why this?
Reiner frowned at the hologram as it ended and went through the belongings he had on hand. He still had his gear on him, at least. There was still plenty of gas and blades. Not that he would need to worry about that if this place was 'relatively safe'.
Guess he should find himself a place to think things through first.]
Audio
[After wandering near Bay for a while, he sends out a message. It isn't as if he really knows who to expect to be here, but he might as well check just in case.]
I'm probably not the first one to say that this is one hell of a way to wake up and that I have business to attend to back home so I'd rather be there. [His voice is kinda annoyed.] Since that isn't something that can be fixed right now... I'm looking for my fellow warriors. You should know who I am without me saying.
[Juuust in case there are enemies around.]
(ooc: as a note for anyone encountering him who knows others- he's currently not wearing any survey corps clothes, but his gear is the same as others'.
also apparently he managed to see the hologram before it was destroyed again 8( )

No other choice? How about the one that you leave him be and be the better man? Or is that beyond you?
[ When did it suddenly get so dark, though? It seems like the both of them aren't even in Genessia anymore with how it appears that it's just the two of them here in total nothingness. She takes a few more steps forward, this time putting her finger on the bloodied blade. ]
Come on, if no one is giving you any choices here, are you not going to attack me too?
[ action ]
What is going on? Who are you?
[ action ]
Why did you not choose to use this restraint before this happened? Are you not used to having people stand up to you? [ She's deliberately speaking to the warrior side of him now, choosing to ignore his questions for the time being. ] Or is it something that you never anticipate happening?
[ action ]
You haven't given me a reason to kill you, since I don't even know you. Though if you keep this up, I might have to...
[He grips the handle of his blade tighter as he says that.]
[ action ]
I feel sorry for you, Reiner Braun. It must be difficult to bear the weight of your sins day in and day out, what with being a double agent. Do you truly think you are doing the right thing here or do you want it to end? You have to be tired of it by now at this point.
[ action ]
Who are you?! How... how do you know about any of that?
[He shakes his head. No. Calm down. Don't listen.]
I don't feel any guilt. Everything was all an act.
[ action ]
An act? So, then, what do you call enlisting in the 104th Trainee Squad? You had hopes and ambitions, did you not? You wanted to protect humanity, right?
[ Her voice changes to that of a more motherly one when she brings that up with her stance relaxing that much more. ]
Do you think it is too late for you to return to that, knowing what you have done?
[ action ]
I was only spying on them... There was absolutely no connection between me and them. I want them all dead.
[Of course it was too late to go back to that. After everything that's done, he can't go back to the days he spend with the trainee squad. Bertholt and Annie were all he had now.
Reiner's eyes wander on Armin's body as he's thinking of a way out of the situation. There's a jolt inside - like he just realized something.]
Armin...? Armin why is he... why's Armin dead...?
[ action ]
Because you killed him. You are the one who thought you had no other choice other than to kill him. Or, do you not remember that?
Here, I will help you remember.
[ For further emphasis, there's a rectangular screen right where he's looking that's continuously playing footage of this very act. If he tries to look any other way, it'll follow him. And, if he closes his eyes, it'll be playing there too. ]
What would your soldier side think of this, Reiner? He would think you are a monster, right? How could you be capable of killing someone that you once called a friend?
[ action ]
Which one is he? Which one should he be to get through this with minimal damages? He doesn't know. All he does know is that he should make it stop. That would solve all the problems. Reiner firms his grip on the blades and points one of the at the woman's face, his hand trembling as he stares right at her.
... and nothing.
Why is he hesitating? Why can't he make himself do this. He just killed Armin. This woman is a total stranger. Why's this so impossible all of a sudden?]
I'm... I'M A MONSTER WHO KILLED SOMEONE HE ONCE CALLED A FRIEND! Of course I know that! Of course I know that there's no way for me to return anymore! I KNOW THAT ALREADY!
[He lowers his blades, still trembling.]
I'm no soldier that protects humanity. The soldier in me never existed. Yet why... why does leaving them behind...
[ action ]
[ Sertoria takes another step forward, her tone still motherly and yet every syllable that she's said thus far has been chosen carefully, as if she's already sliced him up with thousands of blades already. She doesn't place a hand on him, but instead, her expression settles for a neutral one. ]
That is the beauty of making choices and having free will, though. Once you have made your decision, you have to live with it good or bad. But, you want to know the sad thing about this whole situation, Reiner?
[ This time, she does allow a shake of her head, arms folding over her chest, looking much like a disappointed mother would. Her neutral expression is replaced by a frown, too, to match the stance she's taken. ]
Genessia could have been your second chance. Second chances do not come around all that often, I have realized. You could have chosen to be the better person if you wanted to. You could have chosen to return to what you once had with the others if you so wanted to. However, now that you made the choice of killing Armin, that window of opportunity is forever closed.
[ Sertoria shakes her head after that, shrugging her shoulders. ]
I just hope you are truly comfortable with what you have done, Reiner Braun.
[ action ]
Soldier. He pretended to be one, didn't he? It's their fault for trusting someone so fake as he was. Treating him like a big brother he could have been if it wasn't for his past. Yeah, the soldier in him felt like he belonged there.
But that's not who he truly is. Reiner grits his teeth together and stabs his leg with one of his blade, as if to regain his composure through pain. He could heal it later, for now, he needed the shock to wake up. He needed to get out of this.]
I don't care about your second chances. This is the path of the Warrior I have chosen myself to go through with. Something I will carry to the end. It doesn't matter what they think. It doesn't matter what you think.
[He raises his head and looks at the woman with pure determination in his eyes. He has gotten damage, but he's still holding on. His warrior side isn't that weak to break down as his soldier one is. He takes the blade out of his leg and it begins to heal immediately.]
I will never regret my decision! The humans inside the wall all deserve to die for all that matters.
[Surely he will break down once he's alone again, but for now he's determined to stay collected.]
[ action ] 1/2
His words, up to this point, haven't really registered with her. They've all been talk at this point until his last two sentences are spoken.
"I will never regret my decision! The humans inside the wall all deserve to die for all that matters!"
Hey, Reiner.
Wrong move. ]
[ action ]
No. It's time to put him in his place and teach him that it's humans he should be afraid of, instead of humanity fearing despicable titans like him. ]
Shut the hell up.
[ Her bracelets disappear in a flash of light as chains rise up from the ground, wrapping themselves around Reiner's wrists. If he notices, these chains are rather reinforced by magic and aren't easily broken. ]
Do you think I am going to let you get out of here using your titan form when I know that you can heal?
[ Don't answer that question, Reiner. In fact, he should be concentrating on the fact that his nerves all feel like they're on fire at once while she has that damned smile on her face. It's comparable to being sliced open again and again by thousands of swords all at once.
But, don't worry, she knows exactly what she's doing here with a titan shifter. ]
Come on, tell me again how you think that the humans inside the wall deserve to die. I want to hear you say it again. I am waiting.
[ He brought this on himself, and the sad part is is that it was completely avoidable. ]
[ action ]
It's not long when he starts feeling the pain. It's truly hellish, to feel that much pain all at once - but Reiner isn't allowing himself to scream at any of the pain. He focuses on enduring it and not passing any other thoughts through his head for the time being. He's used to pain. If he focused enough, he might get through it.
In theory, he should have been able to get into a mindset of transforming, but something was suppressing that. It would seem that his enemy has been told about his powers to that extend.
It's really hard to keep his focus on, with all the pain that he doesn't even know where it comes from, but instead of giving in he looks at Sertoria with rage in his eyes. He's not saying anything, but it's clear he doesn't regret what he said.]
[ action ]
You are capable of restraint, I see.
[ There's a noticeable pause in between her sentences here while she chooses to float in the air for a bit, resting her head when she props it up with her hand. ]
I am curious why you chose to not use it to avoid killing Armin. Could it be that you are not used to people standing up to you and showing that they are not afraid of your kind?
[ By now, her tone's still wonderfully deadpan, even though it's taking her no effort to inflict the extreme punishment against him. ]
If you want this to stop, you just have to say so. You clearly have a voice here, Reiner Braun. You just used it when you said that the humans inside the wall should die and that you do not regret what you have done tonight. Why are you choosing now of all times to be silent?
[ Really, she's curious. Every human thus far acts differently and it piques her curiosity that much more when she finds someone who acts differently. However, she still hasn't relented at all with her brand of sanction quite yet. Murder is rather reprehensible in her book. ]
[ action ]
If I tell you to fuck off, will you kindly leave, then? Because that would definitely.... be desired.
[At least he's clearly aware that he shouldn't make her mad again, if nothing else. There are little things he can do against someone like this, especially when she knew so much about him.
Well, she and he would most likely meet like this again, seeing as the path he chose is much opposite of where she walks in. Especially if she's friends with his enemies.]
[ action ]
That is all you needed to say.
[ It's with that said that she inhales a breath, her eyes widening for a few seconds. When Reiner gazes into her eyes, every sensation of his would feel overwhelmed to the point of where he feels like wanting to collapse. As his body falls limply, the chains unwrap from his wrists and the darkness ebbs away to reveal the Bay once more. She lands on her feet, shaking her head once again at the scene before her.
A few seconds later and Sertoria's bracelets form around her wrists again, shackling her great power once more. She walks over to Reiner, wrapping her arms underneath his to drag him over to where the pods were, resting him against one of them.
Her next objective is to materialize her cloak out of thin air, wrapping it around Armin's corpse. She gently picks up his body, cradling him in her arms.
Lord,
Armin is gone now from this earthly dwelling,
and has left behind those who mourn his absence.
Grant that we may hold his memory dear,
never bitter for what we have lost
nor in regret for the past,
but always in hope of the eternal Kingdom
where you will bring us together again.
Through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
It's with that that she disappears. Maybe Reiner will remember that she was merciful to him for not killing him and therefore perpetuating the violent cycle of bloodshed and murder. ]
