[ There's one girl freaking out at the Bay as soon as she wakes up there. What? She just got home safe and sound, why is this happening!?! Does this mean that they found her again? She accidentally just drops the white box, completely ignoring it for the time being as she gets to her feet. No no no no no, this can't be happening! Not again.

Should she go into the daylight?! Should she stay where she is? Okay look, she's terrified and just considering her options here and also stepping to the water isn't a good idea; 1) her clothes are getting soaked and 2) if she's trying to be quiet, walking there doesn't really help and she might as well scream. She's definitely not screaming though, that'd be too much noise considering she has no idea what's going on.

[ You know what's the best way to distract this engineer and make her forget that she's kidnapped here? The phone after she's done reading the pamphlet after finally finding it. And eventually she looks completely amazed by the Weiss Hologram. ]

[ She's holding some map brochures on one hand and after a while she seems to shake off the amazement for now, when she turns to smile cheerfully on the video. ]

[ She gives a laugh, that sounds more like giggling, and waves with a hand before this video is over. Yes, she is Ed's mechanic, why would anyone ever doubt that?? Also yes, feel free to run into her right after that video too now when she's not freaking out anymore. ]

[welcome to the life of the soon-to-be Amestrian household. Ed grumbles under his breath] It was a compliment . . . Crazy gearhead.

Whatever. Ruby! You in?

[There's a blink before she nods, folding Crescent Rose back into its compact form and placed back in its holster, face returning to determination.]

Yeah. And you better not hold anything back either. Where should we do this?

Uhh . . . [sifts papers around off camera. map, map...] How about the corner of Rose 'n 20th? Genessia City. There's plenty of open space there, right?

[click! and he ends the call. Ed takes a steady walking pace in getting there, but he was pretty close by to start with]

[Ruby, by contrast, took off at high speeds, using her semblance to zip through the city to the location agreed upon shortly after Ed got there, seemingly appearing in a cloud of rose petals. Her cape clung to her small form in the breeze from her arrival.]

Remember, don't hold back anything. If this is going to work, I need to know just how far your arm can be pushed, and I'm going to push as hard as I can. Got it?

Got it. Jeez, though, can you turn the dramatics? [Ed throws off his red jacket just as dramatically] The roses are a bit much.

[Ruby unfolds Crescent Rose, holding it behind her back in a ready stance.]

That's not something I can turn off, but I'll explain later.

[There's a beat before she shifts her grip and angle on the scythe. A shot rings out and suddenly she's flying through the air, spinning with the weapon held to the small of her back, making her look like a crimson buzzsaw flying through the air toward Ed.]

[DAMN she starts strong. A HOLYSHIT WHAT DID I GET MYSELF INTO expression flashes across Ed's face before he runs to meet her and claps. At the last moment, he slides underneath her with a hand trailing across the grass. The ground before Ruby begins to curl up on her like a snake rearing its ugly head--and it looks the part, too. It'll try to block her path and roll her up like cheap sushi]

[That takes ruby by surprise, and for a minute the grass seems to do its job before she cuts her way out. Once freed, she shifts her grip on the scythe as the blade folds in, and a small scope pops up out of the handle, making it look more like a rifle than anything else. And with good reason as two high-impact shots are fired, Ruby taking aim at Ed's mechanical arm. Didn't want to hurt him too much, and she needed to test if it could take a direct hit after all.]
