It's a happy kidnapping time (OPEN)

Who: Adachi, the victims & the rescuers

When: 22nd - 29th
What: A log for the player plot.
Warnings: It may get a little violent, has blood and other stuff. Be careful. Also Shadow issues and other things included.

How this works:

1) There will be a section for all kidnapped persons so we can play out the actual kidnapping progress if so desired (it can also be hand waved). I would love it if you could come up with a starter tag about what they're doing/where they are, but I can also work on the starter if necessary.

There will be two kidnappings per day on 23rd, 25th & 27th. Please choose a date to your liking and be aware of what others have chosen.

2) Every kidnapped person will form their own floor on the dungeon. The floor will reflect their heart's context and look something that reflects the part that they keep hidden from even themselves. At the end of the floor there is a room that where the kidnapped character is with a possible boss fight against the kidnapped person' shadow.

NOTE: I will confirm later if characters will be able to have their Personas, but one will appear for them, as a sign of facing their other selves. The other self has to be faced in order for this to happen, however.

3) Each dungeon floor will be limited to only four rescuers, because Adachi has his powers and can order the rules of the dungeons as he pleases.

4) Characters with special abilities are more than likely to get attacked by shadows. Characters without might have it safer.

5) Kidnapped character's mun gets to decide if the rescue team is successful or if they would want the attempt to fail. This would mean either a) death and bizarre body discovery in Attleton or b) near death and bizarre discovery in Attleton.

The wounds will, unlike in canon, be visible, as seen from Luke's discovery. The TV World here and in canon work slightly different ways, after all.

6) The time given to attempt a rescue of each character is three days.

In summary:

Until 25th; Yukiko can be found from the dungeon floors (she lasts a little longer because of Persona)
From 23rd to 25th; first two victims (Adela, Blaze) will have their dungeon floors
From 25th to 27th; next two victims (Conan, Quinn) will have their dungeon floors
From 27th to 29th; last two victims (Airy, Anna) will have their dungeon floors.

Last date for victims to get kidnapped: 27th
Last date for all the victims to be rescued: 29th

Adachi can be caught starting from 27th, after his last kidnapping. There will be a thread for that, too.

[A dark cruel laugh echoes as Dave steps into the room. If he looks towards the ground he'll notice Airy, the thin stream of red ending at her shoulder where the shadow bites into flesh.]

Look Airy, your new friend came to save.

[Airy's eyes clamp shut as tears roll down her cheeks. The voice sounds like her own but filled with such hate and disdain.]

Did you tell him you were normal? Why not tell the truth? You're a mistake. You should never have existed.

[The create at her foot snarls and twists its head, leaving Airy on the ground and turning towards the collection of people who gather just outside the door.]

[Nathan stepped into the room behind Dave, and he didn't know what he was looking at. Whatever this...thing was that sounded like Airy, it was full of shit. He knew that much. He reached out, feeling the strange primal energy of the place and hoped it didn't hurt like hell pulling it into himself to create fire.

Fire was the one element he could rely on, but this energy was strange to him, and it was going to take time to convince it to listen to his commands. Hopefully the others could keep it busy.]

[Danny floats into the room a step behind Nathan, just in time to hear the creature's last comment. His expression instantly darkens, because that? That was just way too much like Spectra for his liking. Picking at people like that just wasn't cool. ]

Hey! You know, I don't know this girl. But why should she listen to you?

[He snaps his hands forward and sends a blast of green ectoplasmic energy straight at the creature's head.]

[ danny can shoot green energy. nathan can do... something? airy's on the ground and there's a big scary. dave doesn't move right away, instead turning his head to danny. ]

...-wait, you don't know her? You're just a legit superhero ghost here to do superhero things?

[ oh my god. where's john when you need him to nerd out? but priorities! dave, not a superhero ghost, moves incredibly quickly to opposite side of the creature and takes a swing at it's back after danny went for the head. it should have trouble if it's being hit on both ends.

but that can't be the only creature in the room, can it? ]

Who was talking?

[The shadow version of Airy turns her attention towards the group gathered at the doorway. She doesn't seem concerned with them, her eyes are cold and distant. For a moment her gaze lingers on Nathan though she says nothing to the group before turning back towards Airy. She steps closer, blood rippling in waves away from her feet.]

Liars, they're all liars and when they learn who you really are they'll destroy you. Why do you think he hasn't told you? He left and others will follow. It will always be the same ending so do what you do best. [The shadow chuckles darkly.] Runaway.

[Her dark gaze is fixed at Airy who appears to be struggling to speak. Tears continue to fall and the creature holding her down snarls biting harder against her shoulder. A soft cry falls away from Airy's lips. She clamps her eyes shut, not even able to look at those who stood a few yards away from her.

A second creature is running towards Dave and Danny, teeth bared and eyes wild.

The windows darken, the watery substance outside becoming murky and unclear however the glaring pairs of eyes remain. Dotting the blackness like stars waiting to pull themselves free from the thick substance.]

[Nathan controls his breathing easily enough, months of focusing under a waterfall thanks to his master giving him the control he needs to stay focused on the goal of his energy manipulation to spite everything going on around him.

He was actually glad this thing pretending to be Airy liked to talk. It gave him time to form a fireball. It coalesced before him in a swirling whirl of white-hot fury and he stepped to the side, clearing his path to the charging beastie. And then he released it.

It exploded on contact with the monster, sending it rolling backward as a wave of intense heat washed through the room. Singed though it was, it didn't stay down for long.]

Fight now, we can go over my questionable taste in careers later!

[ Danny launches himself into the air, aiming to fly over the charging creature (and its teeth), and land a punch on the back of its head. As he moves he calls back to Dave. ]

[ fight now, danny says. but dave clearly hesitated a second - looking to nathan as if he's trying to pick a course of action. the dude shoots fireballs, which are clearly powerful shots going by the way it toppled it. the other two people fighting are more effective than him, he thinks.

he moves next to danny, trying to put down the creature that had been charging by aiming to stab it in its spine after it takes danny's punch to the head. then he's next to- or rather also next to nathan, back to him, stance on the defense and facing the nearest window before things start breaking free of them. one. two. tick. tock. ]

That thing needs to get off her.

[The creature charging them falls, it's black shadowy form dissolving into nothing as more pull away from the blackness around the room. The shadow that looked like Airy continued to ignore them.]

You can't close your eyes.

[The creature biting into Airy's shoulder dig in harder causing her to cry out and her eyes to shoot open. Bright lights swim in her vision and she's forced to look up at the figure.]

Can't you see what you can do? Just be alone and then you can save yourself.

[The shadow Airy holds out a hand and in her palm a long scythe begins to form.]

[Nathan watches the fir shadow monster thing dissolve long enough to be sure it was gone before directing his attention to the others in the room. His gray eyes scan the peremeter, for no other reason than things were seething there and it seemed like an important thing to do.

He steals a glance back toward Airy, motioning toward the monster making a mess of her shoulder, then looks to Dave. For some reason Danny and Dave seem to be looking to him for orders. He's pretty sure he's the least adept person in the room, but that not withstanding.]

Dave, get that thing off of her. Stab it if you have to! [And then he looked at Danny.] Danny, see if you can shut the other one up. I'll get you guys some cover fire, but watch you backs while I pull it together.

[Orders given, Nathan gathers energy again, faster this time now that he has a feel for their surroundings. His plan was a ring of fire, since the beasties didn't seem to like it. If he could border the room with it, it would cut back on the monsters roiling the shadows surrounding them.]

On it!

[Danny points one hand at the the creature and blasts it in the face with ectoplasmic energy. ]

Who is watching your back?

[ dave's in more than one place at once. one. he charges at the creature biting into airy and puts his hands flat on its back, hoping up on it - then swing the sword over his head and then jamming down. stab it if he has to. done and done.

two. to the side, trying to pry the creature's jaw open with his hands. three. the other side, doing the same. one. two. three. ]

Let. GO.

[Airy flinches when the green energy flashes at her side.

She is pretty sure she's going crazy. Not only is there a shadow who looks just like her and is talking to her but she now sees three Dave's pulling her away from the creature biting into her shoulder. She feels dizzy making it even harder for her focus on anything other than the haunting voice that sounds eerily like her own.]

Running again? You can't run from who you are.

[More creatures began to tear away from the darkness, fangs and heads pulling from the black mass at the windows. The shadow Airy pauses in her steps forward, her gaze locked on Airy whose attempt feebly to get away. Her ankle is bleeding and any attempts to stand send her falling back to the ground.

The creature that had been attacking her began to fade, unable to withstand both Danny's blast and Dave's sword. Airy's mind drifts all over the place: it's really awesome that Dave can use a sword, Nathan is here so something is about to be set on fire, then there is a boy who is a green energy shooting stranger which in any other circumstance would be pretty cool and somehow all of them are in her high school. She has no idea what's going on but she wants to leave.]

I won't let you run.

[That shadow that looks like Airy points her scythe towards her ready to attack if they try and take Airy with them.]

[With his slow cast time, Nathan's is best used for crowd control. He'd noted the shadows writhing in the darkness already, and had been gathering more energy for just such an occurrence. He closes his eyes for just an instant, visualizing a contained wall of fire surrounding them, blocking the advancement of Airy's shadow's reinforcement, and he released the energy.

It flared around them, forming a solid wall of throbbing heat, but the shadows around balked at the flame. They were alone with the shadow tormenting Airy.

Now they could do something about it.]

[Danny jumps back a little as the fire surrounds them, because seriously, a little warning might have been nice.

But then he refocuses. He thinks he could kind of get what Nathan was going for. Take out the main guy, and maybe all the others would leave. And if not...

Well he hadn't used his ghostly wail yet. He hoped no one cared too much about this building.

But that was for later. Right now, he focuses on his energy, and brings the ice out of his core. The green energy around his hands changes to blue as a deep chill starts to radiate out.]

Maybe it's time for you to chill out!

[And with a wave of his hand he coats the ground just underneath the shadow in a sheet of ice. ]

[ the edge of the entire room is aflame - any shadow reinforcement ballsy enough to break through would be crawling in and burning on its way. nathan has that. danny, firing ice at the fake airy's feet. fire and ice. no elements on his end. damn.

dave, being close enough to airy, puts himself in between her and false one. cuts in to block the scythe she's holding should it start to swing. he'll take it if he has to because he's trying to do just what she doesn't want and help her run the hell out of there - free arm offered to try and start pulling her up ]

[The scythe slashes through the air, it's metal gleaming with the light of the fire as Dave's sword blocks her strike. He doesn't seem to notice the ice at her feet however she's stopped moving as if waiting for the flames around her to melt the inconvenient ice]

Have you forgotten? I am you. I can create.

[As if to emphasize this fact her eyes narrow on her scythe turning the shining metal blade into a snake that began to hiss and twist around Dave's sword it's aim to bite him.

Airy tries to stand, her head is swimming but she can't let anyone else get hurt. It sucks, which she now knows from personal experiance. Her hand lightly pulls on Dave, her feet sliding from beneath her as the wound at her ankle begins to burn and throb. Her bites her lips trying to both stand and pull Dave away.]

[If he turns the energy he draws in into something else, it takes a while. He does, however, have the option of just drawing in some of the energy around and throwing it at something in a battering ram of pure energy. He hasn't practiced that much, though, which could mean this would go a little wild.

He gathers enough energy to unbalance this fake Airy if not knock her off her feet, and throws it at the shadow, a shimmering ball of wavering energy, like the heat off of asphalt, hurled through the air toward her and struck her. She shuddered on her feet but didn't go down.

Damn, this one was strong.]

[Danny launches himself after the battering ram of energy, accelerating quickly. She might have stood up to everything so far, but he was willing to gamble that aiming a punch at her face would do something. Especially when he put this much momentum behind it. ]

[ the false airy stopped moving, due to the ice - scythe pressed against his sword until it turns into the snake, twisting up it and biting. the fangs biting once before moving up around the wrist and biting again. he can't even drop the sword now. he tries to yank back but it's wrapped around his arm. dave takes steps back to move along with airy's tugs.

it isn't until fake airy took nathan's hit- then took a strong punch from phantom that he got free of it - stumbling backwards then cutting its head off when it hit the floor.

then moving back to airy, putting himself on the opposite side of her wounded shoulder and putting her arm around his neck to hoist up. get her out of the line of fire. ]

What the hell channel are we on in here? This show sucks.

[The shadow Airy crashes to the ground after being struck by the combined attack from Nathan and Danny. An angry growl rips from her lips as her hands grope for something that isn't there. The shadow staggers to her feet looking very hurt. Slowly new objects begin to form around her, some are incomplete while others take the shape of masks and dolls. The object's eyes glow red before advancing on those in the room.

The now headless snake wriggles on the ground before regrowing it's head. It hissed at Dave and Airy beginning to glide towards them as he moved her out of the way.]

Dave!

[Airy's only able to say his name as a warning as the snake approaches.]

[Nathan was starting to get tired of this fight. As the shadow airy pulled itself up from the ground, he narrowed his focus on it.]

Cover the rest. I've got this.

[The more he manipulated the energy of this world, the easier it was becoming, the more freely it came to his call, which was fortunate for everyone in the room. He gathered enough quickly for another blast, focusing all his impatience and frustration into the spell's construction: a swirling ball of fire that would hit the shadow self and send it rolling away to the side before spreading to consume her.

He focused on the image in his mind for a second, solidifying the results he was looking for, before throwing the ball in the wounded shadow's direction. It was too close to Airy and Dave and it was imperative that his fireball strike with enough force to move it away from them.]

Oh, come on! What does it take to shut this down?

[Danny pulls himself into a spin, then speeds right back into the center of the fight. He starts blasting all the masks and dolls with ghost energy. ]

[ of-fucking-course the snake regrew its head. he cuts it again. dave makes sure his hold on airy is solid enough, quickly scanning the room for a clear doll-less spot. tick. tock. he's taking her with him. back to another point in the room. the fireball hitting the shadow, which might have attacked before- and the snake still would've attacked them if they hadn't moved. or one of the objects. cutting something that regrows its head really wasn't working. neither was kicking it.

moved in the room and backwards by seconds. they get to see themselves move from another angle while dave's steering her towards the door. he needs to stop and move out of the way from a doll so it can take one of danny's ghost blasts before continuing. dave's muttering at her the entire time. ]

Do you think that thing was venomous? Do you know anything about magically conjured scythe-snakes, Airy? Let's rap about it so nobody passes out from potential blood loss slash unknown injuries slash possibly non-existent snake venom.

[Airy shakes her head at Dave trying to to focus on everything that's going on. Her head feels dizzy and the flames dancing around the edge of the room aren't helping her see straight.]

No... if it's me then it'll go away once she does.

[She tries to move her feet along with Dave and towards the exit. It is so hard to focus.

Shadow Airy laughs as Nathan gathers the energy to throw at her. Her steps are more confident as she stands, her gaze fixing to Airy and Dave. She's about to speak again when Nathan's ball of fire hits her in the chest. She's thrown back and into the fire surrounding the room. A high pitched scream echoes as the shadow burns, limbs trying to break free of the fire.

The dolls and masks that Danny has begun to destroy slowly begin to flicker and fade as the shadow Airy vanishes into the fire.]
