02ND BARK | ACTION & TEXT
Text;
What is there to do around here?
Action : Everglade @ Night
[The dirt curls beneath his paws as the rich smells of the earth fill his nose. This is what it means to be alive. Four paws thunder against the earth as the large wolf goes running through the thick mass of trees. The moon hangs like a silver sliver in the night sky, the scene of colored darkness falling like a vail overhead as if painted perfectly into place. Toby knew he was safe from other wolves without the full moon casting its light over the city that sat in peaceful darkness. There were other things that lurked in the night, but nothing that Toby feared. He’s stared down terror in the past and knew its name. This world was simply a fake replica of his nightmares.
His path brought him to the edge of the forest. He knew of the barrier that kept them here and had no interest in testing its validity.
Toby takes the chance to walk through town, seeing it with the keen eyes of a wolf. There were smells he hadn’t picked up before and he knew that it wouldn’t be so strange for a 230 lb wolf to go trotting through town while the curfew was in effect; most likely no would see him.]
Action: Every City @ Any Bar
[It doesn’t matter what time of day it is or what city that he finds himself in; Toby gravitates towards bars like a moth to fire. It is a shame that he can’t get drunk but that doesn’t stop him from trying. He usually finds a seat where he can keep an eye on the door and then orders a beer. He doesn’t say much, but instead listens in on the conversations happening around him.
The part of Toby that stands out is his height. Even while sitting, he casts a powerful shadow. His expression is tranquil while his gaze reflects a comfortable well-worn sadness.]

And what she said wasn't somehow? She did eavesdrop once after all and gave advice, which didn't work out in the end really.]
action; Bar in Genessia
[That and most people come to a bar to rant, not for solutions. Then again, that might just be a guy thing.]
action; Bar in Genessia
[Doesn't always mean it will go well though, she knew that at least.]
But then again, if they want to rant, they can.
action; Bar in Genessia
Most at bars just want to rant. [And for the world to feel sorry for them.]
[Shrugs.]
I'm a good listener.
action; Bar in Genessia
[She takes another sip of her own drink for the moment, this time a bit more than she had the last time.]
But being a good listener is good, not so much when you are a distance away from them though.
action; Bar in Genessia
I don't usually make people comfortable.
[At least not to talk to.]
action; Bar in Genessia
[She couldn't quite pinpoint the reason.]
action; Bar in Genessia
I don't know...
[Except he does.]
People find me intimidating.
[Because he's killed a lot of people.]
action; Bar in Genessia
[She doesn't see him as such anyway, but then again considering who her husband was... it makes sense that it wasn't the case.]
action; Bar in Genessia
That's a first.
[He says the comment as if indifferent.]
What are you scared of?
action; Bar in Genessia
Well... I am scared of darkness... If that makes any sense. It's not like being scared of the dark, that's something else completely, but... things like dark magic do kind of scare me.
[Otherwise she wasn't going to say what she was scared of really.]
I have others more likely, but that has to be the top.
action; Bar in Genessia
What are the others?
[He watches her curiously before bringing his drink to his lips.]
Spiders? [He's teasing though his inflection doesn't change.]
action; Bar in Genessia
No, they aren't scary at all. Ogres are probably more scary than spiders are. Ogres can kill you.
[She knows this very well and as much as she thought that well one could be good, that sort of backfired on her.]
action; Bar in Genessia
[There isn't very much that Toby is afraid of and a small part of him wants to meet an Ogre just to see if he can take it down.]
action; Bar in Genessia
[She was at least being honest.]
action; Bar in Genessia
You don’t go to Everglade much then?
[Seems like an odd question though Toby is curious.]
action; Bar in Genessia
[Yay for reading things, so she has a basic idea, so it really helped. She soon picked up her drink and finished it, placing the glass back down.]
action; Bar in Genessia
[His eyebrow raises.]
My understanding is that things are different depending on the world. Is yours like Everglade?
action; Bar in Genessia
No, mines more like Fayren but things like werewolves exist in my world. Besides I learn about others by reading books to get the basic idea.
[She had been here for a few months after all.]
action; Bar in Genessia
What about vampires, zombies... are those in your books?
[He wonders what Clay would say if he started reading books. Hell would probably have frozen over.]
action; Bar in Genessia
[She at least knew how to tell the difference at least.]
action; Bar in Genessia
Yeah, I've already found them.
[He'd been curious to see if there was anything in Everglade that might be able to stand up to him. The werewolves there are a joke though he's weary of the vampire who's opened a sub-archway there.]
action; Bar in Genessia
[She's been there for the bookstores a few times. She liked what they had.]
action; Bar in Genessia
[He doesn't mention that he doesn't look like a human when he does this.]
Not that I recommend it as a vacation spot.
[The thought of Belle going there unsettles him for some reason.]
action; Bar in Genessia
[She smiled slightly.]
Seems odd to enjoy exploring a place like Everglade, but... When you haven't been out much for a long time you just want to when you get the chance.
