Who: Airy & OPEN
Where: Genessia Hospital
When: March 29th - April 3rd
What: After these happenings. She's in the hospital for a few days before being allowed to head home and some text's to friends.
Warnings: Talks of Blood and injuries.

[Airy doesn't remember the first 12 hours in the hospital which saves her from at least twelve hours of boredom. She isn't good at staying put and thinking about her kidnapping makes her head spin and then hurt. She can't have caffeine or anything else she enjoys because of the medicine they have her taking and the steady stream of blood being pumped into her arm. Her ankle and shoulder are bandaged but the painkillers stop them from hurting.

The worst part about painkillers is that they make it to hard to focus on things like reading or writing but it isn't enough to just knock her out and make her sleep. She ends up playing a lot of candy crush on her phone; after sending a few somewhat awkward texts to those she knew.

Her stomach rumbles and she drops her phone onto her abdomen as if that might make the insistent feeling go away. Airy really likes eating, specifically breakfast, and while the food here isn't awful it isn't very good either. She misses real food and that fact alone makes her sad.]

It's okay to call me and my relatives good looking. I am flattered and it's totally true.

[ he shifts in the chair again, turning sideways in it so he can dangle his legs over one of the arms and curl up somewhat. next song goes on, shuffle always something he has on. he looks over at the headphones then at airy. she's yawning. he decides it's fine to leave it. ]

I mean, I'm always down for listening to songs. I kind of want to listen to your whole fucking phone.

[Airy just laughs at Dave. It's really hard to tell if he has a large ego or if he's just kidding.

Another yawn shakes through her though she's trying hard to fight it. She doesn't want to sleep yet. The next song makes her smile.]

This one yours again?

[Since he said that most of them were.]

You can but you'll have to stop when my phone dies.

[Her phone is sitting on the table next to her bed. It doesn't have a password because Airy is far to trusting.]

[ daves ego is something everyone wonders about. he was half-joking. ]

Mm. No. This is John. I have a version of it that's me though. [ he reaches over to grab her phone, scroll through the music since she said he could. ]

I won't kill your phone. [ he's going to send music back and forth now that he has both of their phones ]

[Airy laughs, leaning back on her large fluffy pillows. She's still sitting up thanks to Dave rising her bed.]

It's okay if you do. It's android so I just need a mircoUSB to wall charger. I'm sure I can find something like that here.

[It's rather generic.]

John sounds cool.

[She's definately getting sleepy.]

[ he can take the cues that someone's drifting off. Karkat and him have passed out during enough movies that he doesn't really realize what he's doing when he does it. Like sitting up properly long enough to lower her bed back so it's comfortable and idly pull the blanket up, fixing it. tuck airy in because it ended up a habit. then he's back to lounging in the chair the same way he was a moment ago ]

He's a huge fucking nerd.

[Airy is awake enough to watch as Dave tucks her in and helps position herself comfortably in bed. That’s nice of him. She wants to protest but she’s too tired and ends up mumbling something instead.]

That’s something they don’t tell you about people or in school…

[Her voice sounds sleepy, while the weight upon her eyelids forced her eyes closed.]

Nerds are the best people….

[One of her best friends is a nerd.]

Yeah. They're the best. They don't give a shit and like what they like then take care of everything with their leadership skills so all you have to do is aim and do what they say.

[ he glances over at her then looks back to the phones ]

You sleep okay when you sleep?

I'm not sleepy.

[Airy mumbles softly, her voice drifting as if she's already asleep.]

Okay, Airy McSnoozer. I believe you.

[ cuute. he's going to stick to the quieter instrumentals. plug in his phone at one point so the battery doesn't get murdered. he'd turn it off but if she's sleeping, he's not going to be able to handle the silence hospitals come with. ]

Just wondering if you're going to get all restless and fall off the bed or something. Should I set up a pillow fort to land in? Some doctor's going to come in if that happens all like SHIT SHE FLATLINED and you're just face-first on the floor in a pillow pile with every beeping attachment undone muttering that you're not even tired.

[Airy is very much asleep however she still responds to Dave in a sleep mumble.]

We can't.. fit the firetruck in the fort... it has to do around.

[She turns, her fingers rising to her lips as she curls into a small ball.]

It's dark..

That's hella unfortunate. Damn truck can't pull in front. That's going to make leaving in a hurry to put out those sick fires a bitch. Adds like two minutes to our time. It's all about speed. We're gonna need a bigger fort. I'll get more pillows.

[ having conversations with sleeping friends is a thing he does. he looks back over at her, frowning slightly ]

You okay?

[imaginationswoes]

[Airy mumbles something incoherently before shifting slightly.]

It's to dark...

[She repeats, her tone becoming more frantic though still in the soft tones of sleep.]

It's okay. You've got a flashlight. I mean, that's sound dream logic. Just imagine up a flashlight.

[ calm. he watches her for a long moment then looks back to the phones, putting hers down and using his to check the network a little. ]

My dreams are dark too. It happens. Just don't stay there.

[Airy mumbles again, curling her legs a little closer to her chest.]

Flashlight- [She repeats this word softly while continuing to fall into her dreams.]

And a lamp and a spotlight and the entire fucking sun blazing down on you, shining all this fucking light. You're going to need some sunglasses because this dream's going to be hella bright now.

[ he gets up, takes the clock off the wall and adjusts the time on it. ]

[Airy grumbles, her tone now sounding annoyed.]

Fuck. The sun doesn't have a brightness setting, Airy. You can get a cloud in front of it.

[ he shakes his head in some sort of amusement. puts the clock back - now exact. ]

[imaginationswoes]

[She mumbles again, her face turning to press into the pillow.]

the monkeys...

What? Stop the monkeys? 'Kay, I wasn't expecting monkeys to pop up but I guess this is like an actual normal dream happening here. Maybe they're chill monkeys. You can play cards with them. They can wear little suits. One of them is serving drinks.

[ sits back in the chair, taps his foot. ]

No... stop...

[Her voice is softer than before.]

No, it's okay. That one likes serving drinks. They're not monkey slaves. They get large pay checks.

[ surely that's what she wants stopped ]

Dave...

[Airy is still asleep but she manages to say his name as if he's being ridiculous in some way.]

[stairsbro]

Yeah, I know. That's stupid. What would monkeys do with cash? We gotta pay them in bananas.

[ he's up again for only a moment, peeking into the hallway - slipping out for a second then quickly returning to his chair with a little juice he stole off a passing cart, some rubber gloves, a medical mask. shh. ]

[imaginationswoes]

[Airy's still asleep in bed, though her arms are slowly curling around her pillow which means her head till soon fall back onto the mattress. Clearly they should allow patients two pillow or a pillow and a stuffed animal.]

Clouds...

Jade used to see the future in clouds. [ it's a quiet remark. he's busy pulling a rubber glove over his head and blowing it up with air from his nose. a nurse peeks in the room because he left the door open and scolds him for how dangerous that is. you could suffocate! and?, he replies. he yanks it off anyway. asks for extra pillows. she says she'll see what she can do and wanders off.

It takes twelve minutes, nine seconds for her to show up with them. ]
