[ Unlike last time, when Trucy appears on the screen, she's not at all confused and dazed. She's got a bright smile on her face, actually, which reflects just what kind of a mood she's in. She's proud of herself, really; she's gotten herself enrolled in school and everything! ]

Good evening, everyone! So, I've been thinking about some stuff over the last few days. How does the law work around here? Are there attorneys? Police officers? Trials? I ask because while I'm a magician, I also moonlight as an investigative assistant to some very talented attorneys back at home!

[ Truth be told, she misses going out on investigations and the such. Not that she wants anyone to get hurt or be murdered, of course, but... well, she's bored. School only takes so much boredom away, after all, and she'd like to be updated on the justice system anyways. ]

I'd also like to offer my services as both a magician, assistant, AND a talent agent. I'm young, but I know my way around the stage, and around investigations! So, if you're interested, you should let me know, okay?

Yeah, I figured. That would only make sense... too bad they can't all be the same. Easier to memorize, you know?

Well, a girl these days needs to have a lot to fall back on, right? It doesn't hurt! ...Plus, it's kinda the point of the office we run at home, the Wright Anything Agency! Except I uh, don't exactly have my attorney friends here with me, or you know... an office. But you get the point!

Yep! Well, I'm the talent agent, my friends and daddy are the lawyers. But honestly, most of the time we don't get a lot of potential clients in the office. Well, unless it's for a murder or something.

I'm the only non-lawyer working there. For now, at least... er, I was before I got here... you know what I mean!

It's just what I did back home. Magicians run in my family, but so do lawyers... so, I kinda started doing both! Er, except I didn't... become a lawyer. Just an assistant!

[Levy smiles at the screen, happy to see that her new friend is acclimating well to the city.]

There is a police force and jails in the cities. Those are run by the natives but it's often that people here get bounties to go after anyone to dangerous for the public. I don't know how they are selected but I would say that guilt is already placed since they don't always come out unharmed.

I know some people who are in office, if you want to see about what system is in place and what you can do to help I'm sure we can.

[She pauses for a moment, a smile stretching over her lips.]

As for magician well I know at least one other in the city. Maybe you two can do something together. I haven't seen him around a lot but I've watched him perform once. My magic isn't really useful in performances.

[ Levy, you have no idea what you've just done. Trucy's eyes practically sparkle at the thought of another magician. She hasn't really had the chance to hang around another proper magician since she was a little girl, and that magician had been her biological father. ]

Oh, wow! That's awesome! A joint show might be fun... ooo, I'll bet your magic would be amazing in performances, though! I'll bet it's super unique!

I don't know about that. I'd love to watch you perform though. Have you check out some of the spaces where you can perform here? I know places like Fayren are used to magic but you could make a decent living in Genessia or Nova City.

[Since neither of those places had magic, the natives would probably love it.]

There's a law system? I've heard people talk about it, but very little actually seen.

The exact justice systems work differently depending on which city you're in. I can summarize the five main cities for you if you'd like, though since I'm the City Guardian of Nova City, I'm most familiar with ours.

Each archway, or city, has its own justice system that's headed by the City Guardian, an elected official who is able to make decisions about how the justice system is run and is charged with being the lead protector of said archway. The Guardians should have one to two deputy guardians for both assistance in protecting the city and as a contingency plan in case the Guardian is indisposed or otherwise unavailable.

The city you wake up in is called Genessia City and its Guardian is David Haller, whose deputy is Mikasa Ackerman. Genessia City gives a lot of power to its City Guardian, leaving David in charge of essentially the whole city's justice system. He has an active police force and a prison available that's capable of holding individuals with powerful abilities. Guardian Haller also leads an organization called Gestalt that's designed to bring people together beyond just the Guardian's office for times of crisis to protect the city. He also typically takes steps to ensure that he doesn't arrest or punish anyone without evidence, but as far as I'm aware his word is essentially law as far as arrests go.

Riddle me this though- how can you offer trials for people from different worlds? What if they got all sorts of different rules and customs that don't suit the norm?

And what, you're gonna make sure nothin' becomes corrupt? It ain't all that simple.

Well, it would require more than just me, you know. It'd have to be a group effort, but everyone is deserving of a fair trial if they have the misfortune of landing themselves in such a position. All of that would have to be discussed, naturally...

[ Trucy just smiles anyways, though. He's coming up with a LOT of good points, things she's going to have to think hard on. ]

That's just crazy talk! I think that would be almost impossible to do. No, corruption can't be stopped... it's always going to be there, no matter what world any of us are from.

[ Trucy's seen corruption eye to eye on more than one occasion during her first seven years living with Phoenix Wright, and she knows it's not over yet. ]

But, that's why there should be people who can stand up for the people who have been wrongly affected by corruption, or lies, or any kind of scandal. When you get down to the bottom of it all, the truth is always there. It may not be easy to find all the time, but that's what I'd like to stand for, personally... and I know if my friends were here, they'd gladly step up to the plate, too!

[yikes- this girl sounds like some kind of manga protagonist for sure. he hasn't been exposed to such optimism in a long time, he can barely stand it. he knows that there needs to be some sort of order in a place like this, but... how? he sure didn't want to get involved in any of it.]

Yeah, okay, I see what you're sayin' but it may work in a place like this. There's tons of individuals here that boast about their strength and shit- and they really are all powerful. D'ya really think some almighty figure would stand for a trial, or just keep on runnin' around wild? Nah, I think the only way this trial system will work is if you get some equally strong officers helping you out to contain the crazies.
