[Introspection] )

[Action]

[With no choice but to accept that he's stuck here until further notice, along with an absolute refusal to use these silly 'videophones', Simon Blackquill sets out on a mission to explore this place. ...All of it. He needs to know just what sort of place he's dealing with. That's why, throughout the course of the day, anyone can run into him in any of the cities.

He's keeping to himself for the most part, but occasionally he'll stop to check the map brochure in an almost touristy fashion. Another thing of note is his tendency to throw rude, almost skeptical stares at anything he deems unusual, be it non-humans, magic or odd stores. He's not known for giving off pleasant vibes, sadly. As he walks, he's idly chewing the tip of a feather that's protruding from the corner of his mouth.

Meanwhile, Taka is exploring the area in his own way. The hawk circles above the buildings, peering down at the streets below and occasionally letting out a loud screech. He makes sure not to stray too far from Simon, though. Every so often, Taka will swoop back down to land on his falconer's shoulder, where he'll receive an affectionate scritch and a free ride.]

[She remembers falling asleep on the couch of the Wright Anything Agency. She and Apollo had been studying notes for a case since that afternoon, it was well into the night and he'd passed out moments before she did.

Where she woke up reminds her more of the Space Center, but she would recognize if she were there. No, this is an entirely different place, and judging by the weight on her chest she'll have a panic attack if she doesn't...no, no, that's a box. Phew!

Box added to court record!

Okay, a pamphlet, a walkie-talkie and a necklace...and according to the pamphlet she has to wear it.]

This could get complicated. I can't exactly stuff Widget into my pocket...

[Eventually, she does put the necklace on, trying to keep it from tangling with Widget's cord. Soon she has the video function working, and is making her first attempt to communicate with this place.]

Er, hi! My name's Athena Cykes, and I'm a defense attorney. I'm new here, so...I guess I need to find a place to live, and a job. Where's the law office in Genessia? I don't have my portfolio with me, but I can write one up!

[ Unlike last time, when Trucy appears on the screen, she's not at all confused and dazed. She's got a bright smile on her face, actually, which reflects just what kind of a mood she's in. She's proud of herself, really; she's gotten herself enrolled in school and everything! ]

Good evening, everyone! So, I've been thinking about some stuff over the last few days. How does the law work around here? Are there attorneys? Police officers? Trials? I ask because while I'm a magician, I also moonlight as an investigative assistant to some very talented attorneys back at home!

[ Truth be told, she misses going out on investigations and the such. Not that she wants anyone to get hurt or be murdered, of course, but... well, she's bored. School only takes so much boredom away, after all, and she'd like to be updated on the justice system anyways. ]

I'd also like to offer my services as both a magician, assistant, AND a talent agent. I'm young, but I know my way around the stage, and around investigations! So, if you're interested, you should let me know, okay?

Has anyone ever given up a memory of someone special and have them turn up later on? I found that happened to me recently and now I feel awful about it.

I feel like I hurt them so much by not being able to recognize them, yet can remember everything we did together. Because of this I don't know what to do. So I was wondering if anyone ever had such a thing happen how do you handle it?

Can things still be the same or will it forever be different?

There's a shot of the sky before the view reorients itself. Then, suddenly, there's a tanned face staring at the screen, looking surprised and annoyed all at the same time. What's strange however, is that the hairstyle looks eerily familiar, except for wild and said figure is decked out on an outfit probably more suited for a desert than his current environment. Not to mention... is that gold?

Surprisingly, though, he doesn't seem to be that out of place using the device. Probably from all that exposure to technology thanks to Yugi and the others.]

I'm fairly certain that this is not where I was supposed to be.

[ Because last he remembered, he was in Egypt, Ancient Egypt. Not... here, wherever here is.

Not to mention, if he wasn't trapped in the world of memories any longer, shouldn't- ]

And if anyone could tell me where Yugi Mutou is, it would be greatly appreciated.

At first, it felt just like home, in the dank twilight of the cavern. It was only the insistent sound of water that roused the flower to open his eyes, met with... what was this? A tube? No, it's some kind of machine, with small parcels scattered around the small pot in which Flowey was situated. With a confused glance at the odd surroundings, the buttercup heaves himself into his usual standing position, grabbing the letter in his leaves and scanning the contents, non-existent brows furrowing at the calm welcome and 'explanation' of the current situation.

Flowey sighs, shaking his petals at the absurdity of the whole situation, before a hint of panic settles in. Squeezing his eyes shut, he searches for his SAVE file. 20 tense seconds later, he finds it... but cannot reach it. The RESET button was missing as well! Trembling from petals to stem, he checks his STAT.

FLOWEY LV 1 HP 20/20

"...it's all... gone..." The flower whispers, eyes snapping open to the harsh reality of this... place.

'Well, nothing to lose now', he thinks bitterly, picking up the bracelet-sized necklace and fastening it in the only secure place, between his large yellow petals and smaller green sepals, the tiny pendant all but invisible once in place. Next comes the odd rectangle, the 'videophone' as the letter called it, tucked into a thoughtfully provided pouch, as if those who brought the flower knew he lacked pockets. A humorless chuckle escapes as Flowey notices the bag has a separate slot for the enclosed bills.

'It's so convenient, it almost could be considered comforting if it wasn't so darned creepy!'

He hangs the pouch in the same place as the necklace, warily scanning the environment for the way out- oh right, the pot. An irritated huff, and then Flowey flings himself towards the edge of the pod, turning sideways and rolling with the momentum. To anyone else's eyes, it'd be a comical sight, but right now it was a matter of escape. A sizable 'thunk' echoes throughout the cave when the pot hits the ground, spilling dirt onto the floor. Wasting no time, the buttercup buries his roots into the waiting soil, feeling the expanse of the connected ground and effortlessly diving underneath.

Flowey surfaces at random, twisting his head to take in the vast sky, the distant impossibly large buildings, far, far bigger than anything he'd ever seen. The palace wasn't even close to being that tall! The flower pauses, petals swaying in the slight breeze, his leaves tilting towards the sun's warmth. Surely there was no harm in staying here for a while, just looking at the brand new landscape, right?

[ The image is a bit shaky at first; however, where the image is shaky the audio is not. There is a soft murmur of confusion that crackles across the system, definitely female, before things go still and the image of the young magician appears more clearly than before.

She's not so much looking into the device at the moment, no. She's looking around, and the expression on her face matches her earlier tone. This place is definitely not the office.

Finally, she regards the phone in her hands, tapping it a few times. ]

Daddy? Polly? If this is some kind of trick... it's amazing! I didn't realize you guys were going to start practicing magic, too!

[ She beams for a few moments, before sighing. No, she's simply hoping that this is either some odd dream; or that the mentioned two had in fact succeeded in performing the world's most amazing trick. ]

...Athena? Anyone?
