[When the video starts Jaune just looks tired. Tired and aggravated, and it's apparent in his voice.]

I can't believe I have to say this, but since there's nothing stopping people who have committed murder here from running for City Guardian, apparently I do. You shouldn't vote for actual murderers like Reiner Braun and Roman Torchwick unless you like the idea of trusting an entire city to someone who either admits they murdered someone and does a bad job of even showing any regret or someone who's questionably claiming they're redeemed after...a few weeks? Even if he does claim he's trying to make up for his mistakes, you don't just suddenly lose all of your bad habits like criminal acts in a short amount of time and try to take on that kind of position without an ulterior motive.

This whole thing is stupid. It's stupid. I'm done talking about it. Just...if you want to know more about the crimes they committed while they were here, I can answer your questions. I doubt I'll convince other murderers unless they want the position for themselves.

...I did better than Neptune? [From an objective standpoint, he guesses he can see it. But the concept of him doing better than someone goes so much against what he's used to it takes him by surprise. Wait. Noodles.] I feel like I'm missing something here. That's true. Maybe with your intelligence and Pyrrha's strength, I'll manage to outdo both of you. [He's not really serious, which is why he says it.]

Oh. Remember that news report about rose petals after a highway wreck? That.. may have been Team RWBY plus Sun and Neptune versus Roman Torchwick in a stolen Atlesian Paladin. Except Sun and Neptune fell off the side of the highway and instead of coming back to help, they went for noodles. Which is fine since we completely destroyed the Paladin anyway and Torchwick had call for help to retreat. [ Pause. It's about to become very obvious that aside from Neptune's philandering ways, she's not too impressed with him in other manners. He may have had their back when it counted at the fall of Beacon, but he's still pretty embarrassing. ] Did you watch Team SSSN's team fight in the tournament? Sun was impressive, but Neptune spent the entire fight either flirting with the other team or cowering at the sight of water. The only useful thing he did in that battle was stick his glorified fork in the water when Sun screamed at him to do literally anything to help. Neptune may be ridiculously attractive and he may be Sun's best friend, but he has a long way to go in terms of becoming a huntsman.

Yes, specifically for fighters.

Were they good noodles? I don't think I could eat noodles after a fight. [he cringes.] I saw it, but I never thought of it in terms of him versus me. I just thought it was kind of pathetic. [Attractive. She thinks he's attractive. He rolls his eyes a little, but even he has to admit he's incredibly cool style wise.] But can we name his weapon glorified fork from now on.

Wha-- there's another gym for fighters?!

How should I know? It isn't like I was eating them. [ Of course he's attractive Jaune what else do you think could get her to accept someone calling her "Snow Angel" on day one? ] I find that acceptable.

There are lots of gyms for fighters. I have a friend who runs one, I help him out with paperwork sometimes. He helped teach me how to use both my sword with both hands. [ She holds up both of her hands like full on spirit-fingers. ]

Well, the fact that Torchwick still had to retreat while using one of your giant fighting robots is kind of sad. [There's initially attractive and then there's Neptune. Sometimes Jaune thinks his semblance is being attractive despite his personality.] So do I.

It's like your fighting abilities have doubled! Which friend is that?

Well, he did hit Yang through one of the freeway supports. He was just asking to get destroyed by draining her aura like that.

I told you I haven't wasted two years on nothing. It's Mayu from Sand Gym in Genessia. They have a lot of different instructors for different fighting styles there. Mostly various forms of martial arts like judo, capoeira, iaido, and so on.

I kind of want to see Yang go berserk on Torchwick like that.

Have you ever considered dual wielding? Hey, Nora works there! I guess I should have figured out it was a fighting gym already.

It's quite a sight to behold.

[ She's proud of her teammate and she looks it. ]

I.. have. [ She quickly drops that topic though. Because that leads to questions about how she even has more than one sword. ] I prefer being able to reserve ambidexterity for the element of surprise in a fight. ..I can see Nora liking it there. Mayu's kind of like a quieter, sleepier Ren.

[He doesn't know why she drops the subject, but that and her hesitation is enough for him to stop from continuing to try to bring it up. He doesn't want to bring up something that might be too painful to talk about.] It would be a pretty effective way to catch someone off guard. How can you be quieter than Ren.

[ Because Jaune doesn't need to know she has the blue spirit's swords in her closet or that she's practiced with them a couple of times just because she doesn't have an extra sword and they're just sitting there. She's glad that Jaune doesn't pursue it though. ] Exactly. And he's... sometimes I think he's managed to figure out how to sleep while being awake, but he's still nice. Plus, he was one of the first people to actually appreciate me back when I was still.. not very personable.

[And if he doesn't know about them he can't "borrow" them to pretend to be Weiss.] How does he do that? Every time I've tried in the past, I've just ended up with some injuries and a lot of regret. He sounds like a pretty decent person.

[ Exactly. And then she doesn't have to lie and claim she is somehow the Blue Spirit because she wouldn't want to risk Zuko ever being found out if someone from his world came back. ] You shouldn't be sleeping like that anyway.

[ Look there's the park. She did say it was nearby. ]

[Weiss how are you the Blue Spirit do you somehow transcend worlds.] Oh, but quieter sleepier Ren can?

[So tranquil. Such nature.] All right, let's practice our killing technique.

[ Shhh she could lie and say that after Azula took office she took a story she heard from Zuko and rolled with it. It would at least work so that she could keep Jaune's mouth shut about it. ] Mayu didn't cheat Beacon.

[ She says it quietly, then moves over to a clearish spot with a smallish tree in The tree is easier to hit than the rock. They can start there. ]

How big of a range do you think we should start with? If it's farther, they'll have more time to react and defend or move but the force increase will be significantly improved. On the other hand, short distance is going to have a much less damaging hit, even if it'll be more difficult to respond to in time to prevent the attack from going through.

[ She's taking carefully-measured steps away from the tree to measure the distance, stopping where she thinks Jaune should be standing and tilting her head. ]

[That works too but then Jaune would just wonder about this other side to Weiss. He didn't know she was so mysterious.] ...Mayu's from a different world.

[It's mostly mumbled to himself. Arguing would be a bad idea and Weiss is right.]

How well do you think you'd be able to react if they moved? Defense might not that much of an issue depending on how strong the force of the attack is. On the other hand, we could make it longer, but also try to make it a sneak attack to account for reaction times? Even if a surprise attack isn't very knightly.

[ Less mysterious and more she got better at keeping secrets than being a gossip queen. ] Where I'm fairly certain he's on a judo team despite his world not even having combat schools are far as I know.

[ She thinks. ]

I think it's better if we get the shot without letting them move. I can probably use a glyph to alter gravity a little harder, but because I'd be using consecutive glyphs at intense speeds already it might not be a good idea to worry about turning just yet. Let's develop the foundation of the attack first. What if we tried 15 feet? I think you're misjuding how far I meant in the first place. 15 feet is about a second with glyphs without added gravity manipulation.

[So proud of you Weiss.] So he's an athlete?

15 feet a second? That's...really fast! [He feels more confident now.] I can keep my balance for a second.

[ She tries. ] I think so. The only time I ever really see him expend energy willingly is when he's doing judo or he's worried about someone.

It's nowhere near as fast as Ruby is using her semblance, but it gets the job done. [ She's trying so hard to be humble. That said, attempt at humility aside.. ]

Here, put your sword aside. Let's try it just with you and the first glyph before we try to actually attack anything.

[ Might as well make sure he can stand upright while moving that fast. ]

Ren puts effort into more things than that, but it still sounds kind of Ren-like.

They won't see us coming!

[He smiles, excited now.] Not stabbing myself sounds like a plan. [After putting his sword down nearby Weiss, he looks around cluelessly.] Now do I just stand here?

I told you, Mayu is quieter and sleepier.

Stand with your back to me, knees bent and hold your arms like you would if you had your sword in them, then launch yourself forward as soon as you see the light of the first glyph and just try to keep your balance. Even if you get the initial burst without falling over, the gravity glyph at the end is going to be a rapid, short, and hard stop.

[ She's about 100% sure he's going to fall on his face the first few times. What she'll never admit is the number of times she's fallen on her face in private practicing new maneuvers. ]

Okay. I'll do that just like you've instructed. I hope you're ready to be jealous, Weiss, of my amazing balance. [He assumes she means something similar to a fighting stance, so he adjusts his footing and bends his knees as if getting ready to attack, and waits.]

[He doesn't mention how nervous he is that he'll somehow screw this up and fall on his face.]

[ Close enough. Weiss thinks for a moment, then decides to make an adjustment. ]

Try the two-handed high offensive position instead of your normal fighting stance, Jaune. You want this to be a one-hit stab.

[ She takes a few steps back from him, making sure she's got plenty of room to summon her glyphs well or defend against other enemies than the intended target without hitting Jaune. ]

And you're right-handed, so I'll have to aim you... like this. [ Alright, that's decided. She's mostly just noting that for herself, since she's left-handed so she's got to be aware of her partner- even if it's a temporary partnership like this. ] Ready?

Like this? [He raises his imaginary sword above him, but from the way his hands are angled the weapon is pointed forward, not up.]

Whenever you are. [He glances at his surroundings out of habit more than anything, before staring ahead so he can react as soon as her glyphs appear.]

That's fine.

[ She'll probably make some corrections once he has the sword in his hand if they can get to that stage, but she just wants to amke sure he's got the vague position for weight distribution during practice. Once Jaune is ready, Weiss sends a stream of her glyphs in front of him for about 15 feet straight, ending with a large black one perpendicular to the ground. ]

[He launches himself, but he doesn't account for the speed. One second isn't a lot of time to react, and by the time he thinks he's balanced himself correctly, the gravity glyph looms in front of him in a very fast, somewhat painful stop.

He's on his face and he groans a little, even with his Aura taking care of the damage.]
