Who:Blake and Yang, Blake and whoever comes to visit her in the hospital.
What:Aftermath of Murder Plot, be warned.
When: Evening
Where: Fayren, in the place that Yang finds her wandering, half lucid and trying to find Weiss and later in the Hospital.
Warnings: Murder plot related, Blake took a beating. She is NOT pretty to look at right now.
Afterword:
Blake coughed and gasped coming back into consciousness. As soon as he did a hundred pin pricks of fire shot through her lips and she whimpered. The tag in her right ear throbbed but it was nothing compared to the bloody, deep gash that was still oozing blood where Battler had branded her. It was amazing she had ever regained consciousness at all.
And then slowly, things started to come flooding back. Her eyes widened, but her pupils were dilated with panic as well as agony now. "WEI - ACK!"
She couldn't complete her teammate's name. Could not talk at all really. Suddenly she leaned over and heaved. All of the blood she had swallowed was not agreeing with her. And no matter how much it hurt she couldn't stop herself from throwing up. She wondered distantly if she was going to die before she swooned, putting her head between her legs as she crouched there, the picture of an abused, dirty animal.
She gasped, each breath she drew hurting more than the last.
Weiss, where are you?
She could not lay down and die here. She forced herself to stand, using her good arm to lean against the wall of the alley way she was in for support. Where was her device? She'd get a message to Yang, Ruby...someone and tell them that Battler was a sick bastard and they had to find Weiss before it was too late. She didn't know why he had let her go, but she'd worry about details later.
When she found it she tried to type but her hands were trembling so bad that all she got was:
Text:
Baattt;er crazy. He's sIck. Attacked us. Weiss. Hurt bad. Ffffffing Weiss!
Hospital:
The ear tag had been removed. A simple puncture wound that was healing well. Thanks to a combination of modern medicine and her aura recovering the swelling around her mouth was looking better, though she might be left with a thin white scar or two. But what had kept Blake in surgery the longest was her arm. Battler had burned her thoroughly. Tissue was badly damaged and there would definitely be a terrible scar from that.
She tossed, fading in and out.

Re: text, a couple days later
[Safe? Safe is the most important thing. Blake hasn't seen the video and is still unaware how large-scale what Battler did was. Though she will know soon enough when she is well enough to wonder the hospital.]
text, a couple days later
[ "Escape" wasn't exactly the right word, but Blake had gone through enough. She'd let her worry about Weiss dying once she was a little better. ]
Please make sure Ruby, Jaune, Winter, and Flynt are safe. He got them too.
Re: text, a couple days later
Annnnnd there is the answer to your question, Blake.[She might have scared several people with shout of 'No!' if they happened to be near her room in the hospital. But Weiss, thankfully, won't see that. Not that she really wants anyone looking at her right now.]I will.
[But she wonders why Weiss hasn't contacted them herself. She is texting Blake after all. That's worrisome.]
Where are you?
text, a couple days later
I probably won't come home for a while.
I just wanted to make sure you and everyone got out and let you know that I'm safe, so don't come after me.
[ Weiss had tried to go home, tried to go back to that cabin to make sure that everyone had gotten out or to face Battler now that she was free, but her feet wouldn't move when she tried to go. She was petrified to think about going back, scared to see the faces of the people who were brought there solely because of her. She'd tried to go home and it felt like she couldn't breathe. It wasn't as if she felt like she was running either, she just couldn't yet.
Just in case Blake doesn't believe it's her, she sends a snapchat selfie attached to the message. There's no blood, everything's clean. It looks like behind her head is a sleeping back she's laying on, but it's carefully framed that the sleeping bag is all that's visible in the background. Weiss just looks.. exhausted, numb, but alive and not in physical pain. Probably too clean for how she'd looked in that cabin, considering the only visible scar seemed to be the one she always had over her eye. The message says "See? Safe and whole." ]
Re: text, a couple days later
Safe in a sleeping bag somewhere alone and with a maniac still at large?
It wasn't your fault.
text, a couple days later
I doubt there's more than one or two people who would even think to look here.
It doesn't matter if it's my fault or not. I want to stay here.
[ It may not be her fault, but he still chose who he did because of her. She still has to remember everything that happened. She still has to remember nearly falling in love with a monster like that, letting him get close to her friends and family. She didn't have to blame herself to be terrified to leave the one place she felt even a little secure, if only because of memories. ]
Re: text, a couple days later
Please be sure about that.
Sometimes you think you know people. And it turns out that they lied. I know I can't make you do anything you don't want to before you're ready and I'm not going to try. But you're wrong: it does matter. So I'm going to say it again. It isn't your fault.
Re: text, a couple days later
Blake, stop. I'm not blaming myself. I know better than to. I went through that the first time.
It doesn't matter because I can't do this.
I'm going back to bed.
I don't want to talk about any of this. I just want everything to go away.
Re: text, a couple days later
[The last statement rips Blake in two. The thing is, there is no magic solution or clever right thing to say that's going to pull Weiss out of this. And anything she says will only make it worse because they are friends and Weiss might assume she is only saying what she is saying because she cares about her and not also because it is true.
She hates that she is this helpless. But the right words can't come from her. She's someone too close to the situation. It took a combination of meeting Koishi and Dante and seeing what her staying away was actually doing to Yang to snap her out of it. And as bad as what happened at Beacon was, this is worse because it involves an even larger number of people they know and care about.]
It does matter and you can. Because you're stronger than you give yourself credit for. Even though I know you don't believe it or want to hear it right now. Get some rest, Weiss and talk to me when you are ready.
