Who: Wendy Marvell + Open
When: March 31st, 2014
Where: Anywhere
What: Wendy wakes up to an unfamiliar world and unfamiliar smells and tastes. She doesn't quite know what to do and she's severely injured and drained of magical abilities for the time being.
In the middle of this place somewhere, appears yet another Dragon Slayer, tired, exhausted, and unconscious. Her clothes were torn and ripped in various different directions. No one could say that she didn't put up a strong enough of a fight. All she recalled in her consciousness was the fact that Charle and her were able to stop Face. That was all it mattered. They did what they must in order to save the world, yet somehow the air smelled different.
It smelled different, and it tasted different. The air spoke of many different things, and she slowly cracked an eye opened, though she wasn't expecting a wash of sunlight to temporarily shine in her face. Where was here? It didn't smell like her world and it wasn't Edolas. It was a whole different place. The girl stayed where she was for a moment, unsure how to get up, while looking at the sky.
They did it right? They stopped Face?
"Charle...?"
Where was Charle?

Where was Charle?

"...I'm--I'm sorry."
She was shaking, but he's right. If he had wanted to hurt her, he would have already. He didn't need to waste time to talk to her-- be concerned for her and giving her directions to where her friends were.
"Lucy-san..."
She trailed off. So, he knows of what has happened back home. She slowly nodded her head. Not only did they fight--they were fighting members of Tartarus. These people were actual demons and it still scared her. At least, she was able to stop it... and she prayed that it was the case that Face had somehow been stopped in their world.

"She told me what they were doing. Killing Magic Council members, current and former. Though, she didn't seem to know why, at the time."
Zeref created the demons, of course, and to that degree, he always felt a bit of pride. Why wouldn't he? Aside from the fact that they were living weapons of mass destruction that definitely enjoyed the 'mass destruction' part, they were, in many ways, his crowning achievement. It was just a shame that it ever had to get to this point.
"It wasn't my idea, to kill them. Strictly speaking, I don't have the right to tell them to do anything. That right falls to Tartarus' Guild Master."

It still made her nervous-- to have Zeref of all people here and assisting her.
The demons were a handful but she knew that her guild members were capable of taking them down and moving forward. Their strong determination helped them get past the hard times. She was no different. Wendy had taken down one of the demons and with Charle they put a self destructing spell on Face. When they both blacked out she remembered that Face was going to be destroyed.
So-- the question was, why was she here and happened to Face? So Lucy had told him the details. The Magic Council Members were killed for what reason, he didn't know. It seemed like something was wrong here. She remembered they all learned that the reason the Council Members were being murdered was because they were keys to unlocking Face. To take the world's magic was the goal.
"Face...The Council Members were murdered because of Face-- i-it was horrible..."
Laxus, and the Raijinshu Members were severely injured because of it. Many more council members were dying. Her friends were hurt. There was no end to it, but- but she wanted to believe that it was destroyed because Charle did it and they did it together.

"Face..." Not a bad idea, all things considered. Very, very resourceful, E.N.D. "I see." A world without magic. Ironically, the exact opposite of what Hades wanted to create with his 'Ultimate Magic World.'
"I should tell you that I made a deal with Erza." His first conversation with her upon their arrival in Genessia. "She said that she will let me know if any of my Books appear in this world. In exchange, I'll tell her everything she needs to know about one of my demons."
/threadjacks Rescue Mission is Go!
Voices floated to her on the wind, both were familiar though one of them she hadn't heard in a long time. The redhead stirred, opening her eyes to confirm what she was hearing. At first she couldn't make out the shapes of the people despite them crossing the bridge by the stream less than thirty feet from her; the Witch's magic poison was still in her system leaving Erza to struggle with bouts of partial blindness. As they got closer however she recognized both of them, immediately noting Wendy's tattered appearance. Erza shot to her feet.
"Wendy!"
She was both surprised, happy and angry all at once to see the Sky Dragonslayer. Erza wanted to run out and grab her but it was difficult enough to maintain her vision in her present condition. Instead she held out her arms for Wendy.
"Get away from him, Wendy."
She tried to focus on Zeref.
"I may not be at my best but I swear if you've hurt her..."
ehehhe XDD awh
"Erza-san...?"
That's right, she remembered picking up Erza's smell when she woke up too. Erza was also here. Natsu and Lucy were here. Zeref was here as well. These people all had a similar smell to that of Earthland. They were also her friends, except Zeref, whom was trying to help her.
"...I-I see."
At least, with the knowledge of the demons, she and everyone would be able to stop them if the time comes. It didn't look like Zeref was going to let his demons loose without Fairy Tail cleaning them up, "If Erza-san trusts Zeref-sa--"
Wendy turned to the sound of Erza voice. She must have looked completely tattered and awful to Erza. She just fought one of Zeref's demon's after all and won.
"E-Erza-san!"
She weakly moved past Zeref towards Erza. Tears welled her eyes. Erza was safe as well. Erza didn't look injured or hurt, but there was a strange lingering smell on her, like poison. Wendy didn't like it but she didn't question it. She ran into Erza's arms hugging her tightly. There were too many things she had to ask and so many things left unanswered.
"H-He...was helping, Erza-san..."
He didn't mean harm. At least, not right now.
XD!
"She doesn't trust me," Zeref answered. "Nor should she. The only reason I would ask for my books is because I'm the only person, both in this world and in our own, who has nothing to gain by having them."
But it looks like he spoke too soon. There was Erza... and it didn't look like she was any better off than Wendy. They had reached Fayren's outskirts, which means Zeref would need to be turning back, soon. "You know what my magic is capable of, Erza," Zeref said, in the least threatening tone possible. "I couldn't have done this to her. It wasn't magic, or a blade that did this. It was a demon's curse."
... or maybe Fairy Tail hasn't quite had enough experience in fighting demons to be able to spot the difference between curses and magic. He seems to be further behind them, in terms of timelines.

"It's okay, you're safe now."
It was always strange for Erza to meet with Zeref. On the one hand there was no single wizard in the history of Earthland known to have caused so much sorrow and yet the man she knew as Zeref had done nothing so terrible as his reputation suggested.
She couldn't bring herself to trust him, whether because of past grievances or the subtle unpleasantness the redhead felt whenever he was present. However Wendy had vouched for him in this instance and that was good enough for now. Erza's grip on the tiny Dragonslayer became a little tighter at the mention of demons.
"One of yours? Here?"
no subject
"Th-then what do you mean by that...Zeref-san...?"
She turned to him looking wary. His words didn't make any sense. Erza had to trust him to have that kind of agreement right? Wendy nodded her head briefly, "One of the demons, he-he-- Face."
She furrowed her brows as she stayed close to Erze and understands that Zeref is telling the truth. These injuries were made by a demons curse and not anything else. She was barely standing, but the air she had taken in helped keep her standing.
"Erza-san...are you..hurt?"
no subject
"I wrote the Books. I wouldn't learn anything by reading them. I can't say the same for some others here." As Erza asked her question, Zeref shook his head. "No, not here. The demons I've seen here are... different, than mine. If I had to guess, the one that did this to Wendy was a demon named Ezel. One of Tartarus' Nine Demon Gates."
His second guess would be Kyouka, but those lacerations looked more like they were caused by Ezel's curse, rather than Kyouka's claws.
no subject
"Is that true, Wendy?"
Even though Erza kept herself focused on Zeref her sight had already faded to inky darkness. She couldn't see anything but she could feel Wendy's tiny form pressed against her. If she had indeed fought a demon she must have been exhausted. Wendy needed to have her injuries tended to immediately.
"Thank you for bringing her here."
Erza couldn't even begin to guess at Zeref's motive for doing so but she was grateful all the same.
no subject
"Yes, we were fighting demons. They--they weren't human."
She replied furrowing her brows. She could still feel how painful it was to fight against Ezel. She was lucky to have won the fight, tapping into her Dragon Force. Everything he said was true. There were no lies in his words. They were fighting Tartarus, and the demons that were trying to bring forth Face.
"Th-thank you...Zeref-san."
Her voice was shaky, but she was grateful nonetheless for his help. If it weren't for him, she wouldn't have been able to find one of her guildmates as easily.

"It was no trouble at all," he answered, beginning to turn away, but he paused right before he had his back turned to them. He sighed, and spoke again.
"For what it is worth, Tartarus is acting on their own accord." His eyes closed. "Would you believe me if I had said that I had never actually met any of their members?"
no subject
She furrowed her brow as she heard Zeref speak. At first Erza wasn't sure that she'd heard him correctly. He'd never met them? It was certainly a shock, Erza always assumed that he had directed their actions from the shadows. If what he said was true, and he really had no contact with them, then to Erza it spoke of enormous irresponsibility; to create creatures capable of such destruction and then leave them to run rampant. Could Zeref have stopped them? Would he have even done so if he could?
"And if Tartarus should appear here? What will you do then?"
no subject
"T-that's-- then Tartarus..."
She didn't know how to feel about that, but there was nothing in his words that sounded like he was lying. At least, if he was, he was very convincing. Either way, she still was shocked with the information. She didn't think that it was a good idea that he would at least have some control over his demons. Even if he didn't know of their endeavors.
"Wh-What if they try to hurt everyone again?"
Wendy inquired, her hands against her chest. She didn't want them there, because they would hurt her friends, and hurt the people here. This was not their world, and it would be even more troublesome if they were here. Even so, the demons

"Firstly... it would depend on which demon it was. Certain demons, such as Silver, could resist the urge to cause trouble." Yes, he's aware that he just gave away one of their names. Though he'll try to keep any details to a minimum. "Others, like Kyouka, Franmalth, or Sayla, could as well, if only because I told them to. Whatever the case, if you want any chance for something involving them to end peacefully... you need to let me know, so that I can try to get in contact with them."
Of course, that begs the question as to why he didn't just do that in Earth Land to begin with, and he knows it. He begins walking away, though he fully expects them to try to stop him.

She could hear his footsteps on the gravel path; he was leaving. As much as Erza wanted to question Zeref further about Tartarus and their motivations she didn't believe he'd answer even if she did. It was probably for the best; she needed to tend to Wendy.
Even if she wouldn't get an answer she still had to ask.
"Your demons, Tartarus, are responsible for the deaths of countless innocents. I don't know if you care, maybe you don't, but if they'd listen to you then why wouldn't you stop them?"
no subject
"Erza-san is right, Zeref-san. Why did you not do it before?"
It would have prevented so much death and sorrow. Wendy was not particularly happy with his answer, not one bit as she clung to Erza.
"It's horrible watching people hurt and sad, because of them."
Wendy wanted to get away now, so she could heal Erza, and not listen to him be indifferent about something so important, and valuable as life.

"Let me ask you a hypothetical question," Zeref began. "If you were responsible for the existence of beings that, while destructive by nature, only wanted to find a way to please you... would you deprive them of a chance to do so, if they honestly believed that it would?"
An extremely simplified explanation of the situation that leaves out a lot of very, very important details, but it's similar to what he said to Natsu. Not that he remembers that conversation, of course.
"The Demon King would find it rather anticlimactic if I were to just show up like that."
