[Action]

[The person coming out of the Bay this time is a teenaged boy wearing a green cloak with an emblem of crossed wings on the back and a strange, boxy device. Probably more concerning to most onlookers are the twin swords he has drawn. At first he's wary, and seems more angry than afraid. Well, until he gets a good look around anyway. At that point he just looks really, really confused.]

[The hologram activates and he whirls around to ask questions and defend himself if needed. At least he doesn't default to trying to slice through the "person" suddenly standing behind him. That's a good sign, right?] Who are you! Why have you brought me here! What's- [He stops shouting mid-sentence as he realizes there's something very off about the woman. He spends a moment trying to get a reaction from her, and when that doesn't work he tries poking at her shoulder with one of his swords. At finding his blade simply goes through the person like air he looks even more confused than he did when he first saw the city. After that he at least listens to her, but at the mention of being kidnapped and trapped here he's back to being angry.] Oh, come on!

[He'll stay around a few moments after the hologram disappears, giving people the opportunity to approach him. Once he's left alone he'll take one of the maps and then use his gear to quickly get to the top of one of the nearby buildings so he can focus on trying to figure out the weird "videophone" thing he woke up with.]

[Video]

[When the video feed first switches on the camera's not showing much of anything. Just some random rooftop. It swings dizzily for a few seconds, but never catches a look at the person responsible for the broadcast. It does, however, pick up the sound of Eren cursing at the device under his breath as he tries to figure out how it works. Then it cuts out.]

[A few moments later it switches back on, this time with the camera pointing at the new arrival - upside down at first, but after a second Eren turns it the right way. By this point, he's looking pretty frustrated.]

Hello? Can anyone really hear me over this thing?

[Lucky for Eren, Mikasa was out doing her patrols per usual. She usually made it a habit to check on the Bay, but she didn't bother today. No, Instead she was currently zooming around with her gear, although she's wearing casual clothing and has long hair about to the middle of her back.

She was just about to go onwards when she saw another person on top of a building. Out of curiosity, she approached them with her gear to check it out, only to stop upon landing on the roof.]

..... Eren....? [He was back...?]

[Was it really him? She's seen him leave and come back, only to leave again before... If it was like last time, he'd probably have no memories of being here, but after a moment of awe, she instantly went over to throw her arms around him.]

You're.... really here.

[The sound of someone else using 3DMG makes him even more nervous, and he sets down the videophone so his hands can rest at the controls of his gear. Controls that are still attached to blades, although he doesn't draw them yet. Not until he knows whether he's dealing with friend or foe.]

[But of course that wariness only lasts for a second. Because the moment he turns to face the newcomer he recognizes her - how could he not, even with all that's changed? - And she is safety and certainty even in this foreign world of unknown threats. Yet the nervousness is replaced by confusion, his eyes going wide.]

Mikasa!?

[Before he can even begin to figure out what's happening she's suddenly hugging him. He doesn't hesitate to hug her back, as he once might have. He's quiet for a moment as he tries to get his scrambled thoughts in order, but even as he starts to talk he doesn't stop hugging her.] Yeah, I'm here. But where's here? Why aren't you wearing your uniform? Why's your hair so much longer all of a sudden? Mikasa... [Only now does he stop hugging her. His hands move to her shoulders and gently push her back so that he can see her face. His expression shows he's starting to panic; he's holding himself together well on the surface and a stranger likely wouldn't notice, but to her the signs are obvious.] What the hell is going on!?

[Thank god he's okay.... Thank god he's back. With everyone else leaving, she's relieved to see him again.

....So he didn't remember. That was typical.]

You're.... In a place called Genessia. It's a separate world from our own and there's a variety of people from different worlds here.

[Welp... He's going to get a lot of info at once with these questions.]

Time works differently here. You probably just saw me back home, but I've been here for about 2 years now. Armin is here too; there used to be more of us, but Levi and Petra went home recently. It's been a while since Jean, Marco, Krista, and Sasha left, but they were here too.

Unfortunately, we don't get a choice of when we arrive or leave.

[One day Eren will refrain from asking questions more quickly than he can process the answers he gets to them. Today is not that day. He becomes more alarmed with nearly every word she says.]

What do you mean, a different world!? Are... Are we outside the walls!? How!? And- WHAT THE HELL DO YOU MEAN IT'S BEEN TWO YEARS!?

[He takes a couple steps back so he can get a good look at her. Really see how much she might have changed.]

...Petra? Marco? There's no way they could've been here, that doesn't make any sense!

[OF course it would be a bit much to take in but... That does make he pause for a moment to give off a more somber expression than she usually does.]

Just what I said. There are no walls here besides whatever force is keeping us here or sending us home... There have been no titans here, but there are other threats.

I.... When I first came here, you were here with me too, but you have no memories of that. You left and then came back, only to leave again. Even then you didn't remember being here.

[But then she has to let out a small sigh.]

.... Death also works differently here.... No one truly stays dead here and come back to life within a few days to a week. That goes for anyone who's initially dead back home... They can come here with no memories of even dying...

Trust me.... It was not fun dealing with the whole 'You died' ordeal with Marco, especially considering how Jean was.

[And just like that, she's reaching for her right eye without thinking. She has vivid memories of that day.... It was sort of hard to forget when you were tortured and murdered though. The fact that she had both her tongue and right eye back at all was a surprise to say the least.]

Certainly; everyone can, as a matter of fact. Welcome to Genessia, I'm Ted. What's your name?

The hell!?

[He drops the device when he hears a voice come out of it. Despite the hologram and the pamphlet, he still hadn't really expected the "weird box" to talk back to him. After a second he's mostly recovered from the shock and he picks it back up to address the person on the other side of the odd little window.]

I'm Eren Jaeger. I'm a soldier in the Survey Corps. [And he'll be watching closely to see if Ted reacts to the name at all.]I haven't heard of any place called Genessia. So we must be outside the walls, right? And what's this... thing. [He taps on the videophone.]

[Ted tries to stifle his amusement at Eren's shock. Nope, no reaction to the Corps beyond mild interest; he hadn't kept up with his fellows. Darn, everyone seems to hail from some important troupe these days; Ted felt left out.]

"Pleasure to meet you, Eren. Hold on." [It was a habit of Ted's now to ask what everyone's name meant, if it sounded Earthly enough. A few minutes of googling later...]

"My, that's a fine name! Oh, wait, hold on. What country is that? Turkey, or something else?" [The Turkish interpretation is best; though it might descend from 'Aaron', which is fine, though not so fine. The latter is undoubtedly German, though.]

"Anyway, yes, you are undoubtedly outside a wall; a wall between worlds, certainly. As for the device, it's a communicator, allowing instantaneous visual and aural contact with anyone you like, if their number's available. They're incredibly handy."

[No reaction to the Corps or his own name - not the kind of reaction he was worried he'd get, anyway.]

Huh? Country? ...What do birds have to do with anything?

[He looks both excited and nervous when he's told their outside "a wall between worlds." He takes it as a very literal wall that's divided one world into two for over a century.] We're really outside of Wall Maria then!? How do you keep the Titans away!? Does it have something to do with all the weird stuff here!?

"Ah, well your name might mean either "Holy" or "Exalted Hunter", depending on how you spell it. I'm almost jealous!" [Ted laughed at the confusion. Okay, not a man familiar with Earth countries.]

"You're not doubt referring to phenomena to the world you remember. I'm afraid the difference goes deeper. Practically speaking, you've--or near enough--been plucked from your own world and dropped into another one entirely."

[Airy still finds it weird that people use video more often than audio because these things are phones but she matches format anyway. A smile touches her lips as she addresses the phone.]

Yeah, what's up?

[Eren is of the opinion that what you should be able to see who you're talking to, unless you're sending letters. He's also from a world that hasn't invented telephones yet.]

I just woke up here. Didn't think this thing would really work.

Yeah.

[She flashes him a warm smile.]

You can contact anyone on the phones. Unless they lose it out break it. Then you need to get a new one.

Anyone? You mean it can contact specific people over distances, instead of sending a message to everyone that has one of these? How does that work?

Yeah. You can call, text or talk to them with the video like this. There should be a button on your phone that lets you private send messages. It's a little hard to describe over the phone but there should be information about the phone in the box you woke up with.

[She's read it which is why she can fiddle with the settings, that and it's a phone which Airy is used too.]

It also has a game on it.

Yes. I hear you. [A pair of amber eyes look back at Eren,]

So everyone with one of these can hear me? How many people have one?

[Well so much for that part of the mission he'd been on where he was trying to stay anonymous. Even if he figures that went out the window whenever he got kidnapped again.]

Everyone who came through the bay area should have one. And quite a few people have come through since I arrived here.

[Hello, Eren. This now-not-so-small-child knows you, mostly through Mikasa and Armin. In the background, there's what looks like a small shop--small cups and saucers and tins of tea, meticulously labeled. Luke tips his hat politely, and waves.]

Mr. Eren? Um, yes--I do hear you.

[Luke blinks, resting his chin in his hand.] Miss Mikasa and Mr. Armin will be happy to see you back, I think.

[Whoa, that's a lot of tea. Back in his world, tea is a luxury. One of the few he's gotten to enjoy somewhat regularly since Captain Levi has sources and is kind enough to share. But that's still more tea in one place than he's used to seeing. Even so, he's wary when the boy already knows his name.]

You know me? [Then Luke mentions his friends and he goes from cautious to relieved in an instant.]...You know my friends!?

Take an educated guess.

What's that supposed to mean? [Once, getting that kind of attitude would have had Eren yelling immediately. But he's not that brat anymore, so for now he just scowls at the screen.]

That you're like the umpteenth person to ask this question and yeah we can hear you.

[ He's not being fair because it's not like new arrivals could know of this, but being fair is not that much of an interest for him to start with. ]

[ It's not every day that Sertoria decides to check the Bay, but here she is. She has accepted that maybe no one would come here from home, but that's okay. She has people that care about her here and that's enough for her. Today, she's dressed in her usual outfit with her 3DMG on her hips just in case.

The angel walks over to Eren when she hears his shouting and he's merely greeted by a small tilt of the head and a singular blink. ]

Are you quite all right, sir?

Eren!?!!

[He sounds surprised and happy and nearly overwhelmed, but it is unmistakably Armin's voice that comes over the phone. He hadn't really expected his friends to return, not after what just happened. And if you'd asked him, he wouldn't have been sure he'd really want them to, not with everything that had been done to Mikasa and the others. (Somehow, the things that have been done to him here never gets the same sort of consideration.)

But then he hears Eren's voice, sees his face, and if he thought that he didn't want him back, even for his own sake, he's been fooling himself. He's wanted him back since the moment he left - his life has felt empty without his best friend, and he wants nothing more than to bury himself in Eren's arms and stay there for a long, long time.]

Where are you? Are you all right?!
