There are dragons in this world.

[ Captain Obvious's voice is heard before the feed even finishes turning on. Zeref himself has always been rather camera shy, so he's not actually in the feed; instead, it's being broadcast from the library, again. There's a few books open, on the table, all of them about dragons. ]

There's no shortage of information here about them, but I can't find anything about Dragon Slayers. At least, not about the type of mage. [ A bit about people who have killed dragons with swords or bows and the like - a ridiculous idea in the context of his world - but nothing about people who literally eat certain elements and use that power to kill dragons. ]

I don't suppose any of you have encountered one?

Running doesn't do much good against something that can fly.

You've never played a video game in your life, have you? It's all about tactical running!

What is a 'video game?'

[tenminutes]

It's a game that you play in front of a TV screen, the moving pictures are characters and things like that. It's sort of like virtual reality trapped inside of a box. Either way, you play it and accomplish whatever goal the game has in mind. A lot of times, there'll be enemies to fight and sometimes they fly but if you have the right strategy you can overcome it, apparently. I don't really play a lot either, but I've seen it happen and frankly I've been living in places long enough where video game logic seems to apply that I have a feeling it probably will here too.

I see. [ He knows what a 'TV' is, at least. It was similar to a lacrima. He saw those in Exsilium. ] I haven't seen any video games in this world, though.

Well if there's dragons, sorcerers, past, modern, and futuristic-type cities, then chances are it'll fit the bill even if there aren't any games themselves.

Why would they have these 'boxes,' but without any of the games?

[tenminutes]

Well, you need a console that with the TV to play the games. The TV itself won't play the games.

And they don't have those here?

[tenminutes]

I don't know, I didn't go looking for them since I'm not much of a gamer.

I can tell. I just know a bit about them because of how many people I used to know who gamed.
