There are dragons in this world.

[ Captain Obvious's voice is heard before the feed even finishes turning on. Zeref himself has always been rather camera shy, so he's not actually in the feed; instead, it's being broadcast from the library, again. There's a few books open, on the table, all of them about dragons. ]

There's no shortage of information here about them, but I can't find anything about Dragon Slayers. At least, not about the type of mage. [ A bit about people who have killed dragons with swords or bows and the like - a ridiculous idea in the context of his world - but nothing about people who literally eat certain elements and use that power to kill dragons. ]

I don't suppose any of you have encountered one?

I haven't personally encountered a real dragon before. The closest thing to a dragon I've met was a magical construct created by a magician. It was like special summon a caster would use in role-play game.

For what it's worth, I do know a magician that slayed a dragon. She's a good friend of mine back at my world. I've only heard it secondhand from one of her comrades and he didn't really give any details, but I found it believable given the ridiculous feats I've seen her pull off.

[There was one other "dragon" that he didn't mention, but he felt it would be better keep that information to himself.]

[ The feed still doesn't point at him; though it does show his hand turning the page. ]

What kind of magician?

A Saint. There're only a handful of Saints in my world and every one of them is considered the magical equivalent of a nuke due to how powerful they are.

[ Oooh. Awkward. WELP. ]

I don't think you would find anything about Dragon Slayers here - the library's extensive, but I haven't seen any books from Fiore yet. As for the dragons, we haven't run into any so far.

[ But they all know they're there. ]

[ Well, now he's interested. He said the magic word, no pun intended. Of course, it's highly unlikely they're thinking about the same ridiculously powerful mages, also referred to as 'Saints.' ]

By any chance, are you from 'Earth-Land?'

[ Because while it's not inconceivable that a Dragon Slayer would qualify to become one of the Ten Wizard Saints, he'd have thought that news like that would spread a bit more quickly. ]

[ Yeah, really. Just wait until he finds out about Kefka's illusion shenanigans. ]

I've only found something called 'Sorcerer Magazine.' I wasn't aware things like... that, were popular in Fiore these days.

[ A brief pause, as he turns another page. ]

I only found the remains of a nest.

No. Just normal Earth.

[He could reasonably guess as to why the camera shy magician asked him that; the title of 'Saint' held weight in his world. It was most likely a term someone from Earth-Land would acknowledge. If someone mentioned the word "Esper" or "Academy City", he would have asked them if they were from his world as well.]

Saints exist in your world as well?

The Ten Wizard Saints are considered some of the most powerful mages in the world. Well... the most powerful legal mages in the world.

Dragons?

[That is going to perk her interest of course. Cause... DRAAAGOOOONS! Not that she'll give any indication of that in her tone.]

Not as of yet, but even in my world the myth of dragons didn't really include any of a nocturnal leaning.

Dragons in my world were every bit as intelligent as humans, if not moreso. They generally had a normal sleeping pattern, though I suppose it is possible for nocturnal dragons to exist.

That's nothing like the Saints of my world. In fact, the very idea of a legal magician is utterly nonexistent. "Being stupidly powerful" might be the only similarities between our two world's Saints.

[Even so, it's still one hell of a coincidence.]

Saints in my world are people born with similar characteristics to the Son of God. This allows them to draw out far more power than a normal human and skyrocket all their abilities to superhuman levels. They're the complete subversion of a squishy wizard.

I see. [ No mages are legal? 'Son of God?' Definitely not Earth-Land. ]

What do you mean by 'squishy?'

Mn, I think I enjoy your world's version more. Every region with dragon stories was completely different on how they looked, what weaknesses and powers they had, even how intelligent they were. So they could be fat, stupid, and eat virgins... or snake-like and worshiped as deities. But I never found any real evidence they existed, along with unicorns, vampires, werewolves, or phoenix.

Ah, those three will be quite happy to learn that. Are there any pictures or names?

There was a point in my world where dragons ruled the world nearly uncontested. Humans were little more than cattle, serving only as domesticated food. That is... until the advent of Dragon Slayers.

Pictures, yes. [ It always seems strange, speaking to a Celestial Spirit. He'd have thought they, if nobody else here, would remember him as he used to be. ] No specific names, yet, though. They're more like the names of individual species.

[It's cause Lucy seems to like you, you naughty woobie. And at the moment she'll just be watching you veeerrryy closely.]

Would you mind showing them to me? Or would it be easier to come over there physically? We have crossed paths with dragons before.

[Yup, this is something to share with all the other spirits. And she's willing to risk some recuperation time back home to get his measure.]

Don't judge. You only found one magazine out of plenty of others, and some of them have some really good information.

[ Nothing wrong with fanservice! Lucy's had several friends model in it, and have some silly gossip and other things for fun in it. Heck, she had followed it loyally because it featured Fairy Tail so much. ]

Are you actually looking for them?

Come over here? [ A pause. ] Lucy didn't summon you? Then... this world can even summon being from the Celestial Spirit World, without even needing a Key.

[ Sort of confirming his fears about his demons. If this world can summon Celestial Spirits without the Keys, then it's likely that it can summon demons without any of the Books of Zeref, too.

... what did Virgo ask again? Oh, right. He blinks rapidly, forcing himself out of his deep thought. ]

It's up to you. How long have you been in this world? Long enough to still be immune to my magic?

[ No, he doesn't remember the... thing... in the Fairy Tail guild hall. That makes this first time they've met since being here, as far as he knows. ]

I didn't find anything that useful. It read like a tabloid. [ Well, not like he has any room to judge, anyway. Just look at Sayla and Kyouka. ]

I wanted to compare the dragons of this world with the dragons of our own world, though I wouldn't say that I was looking to actually meet one.

My own experiences with dragons and Dragon Slayers aren't memories that I enjoy having.

[A long, thoughtful pause. But if he already deduced the first half of that...]

No, she has not been. Though she can still close my gate at any time. I've been working on regaining control but it takes a lot of concentration.

[A slight smile. He's... actually being considerate towards her? A lot of Celestial Mages aren't this considerate. Which makes 'his' behavior before rather odd. Or maybe he's acting odd now?]

With a few seconds of warning and with my feet on the ground, I would be able to escape. Even without that, as long as you can not touch the stars I'll be fine.

Magicians are typically stereotyped as being physically weak and frail. The idea is that they sacrificed all the time they could have been exercising in exchange for the knowledge needed to rain destruction on their foes. In my experience, the only truth to the stereotype is that some of them are unaccustomed to any physical combat.

That is not often the case in my world. While some certainly fit that description, it is not uncommon for mages to be physically capable as well. Some even have magic that designed to be used in conjunction with physical strength.

... Good. [ He actually sounds relieved when he hears that. Not that he's worried about what any of his demons would do - he's pretty confident that if it came to that, he could talk them down - but he's worried about how he would go about doing that, especially when he knows that they'd want to take a shot at Fairy Tail, and that that feeling would be mutual with them. ]

That's little comfort for the others here, but I guess that answers my question.

What category do you fall under? So far, you've been displaying many stereotypical magician traits. Like the fact this entire conversation has been on Video and you have yet to show your face.
