[She had arrived earlier and stumbled (and fumbled) her way to the common housing to find her room and privately freak out. First the war, now this strange new place and its technology. To be honest though, she's really spent most of her time trying her best to figure it all out so she wouldn't make quite such a fool of herself.

It's a little early into the evening, not quite night but still the sunset isn't entirely over with, when Hinata fumbles the video on just outside of the Genessia Commonspace. She does her best to smile.]

Hello, everyone. Um, I... I suppose it's the proper thing to do, introducing yourself when you first arrive here? So... So my name is Hinata, and I arrived earlier. I won't ask if...if there's a way to go home, since I figure we all would not be here if that was the case.

[Her smile fades, and she bites her lip.] Um, instead, since we are stuck here, how did... or does... everyone else become accustomed to this place? And, is there anything that wasn’t covered in the 'welcome' materials?

[And, of course, she's out and about on the streets, map in hand. She's walking, in order to get a better idea of the city and what stores are where. And definitely looking for a place to eat real food. Also hoping some of the shops (when open) sell some clothes that aren't military fatigues and flak jackets.]

Oh, to answer your question, I think we grew accustomed the only way one can: by spending time. Familiarity shall grow with experience.

I suppose that does make sense. At the moment everything is so new, but... After a while, it's just another city, right? [ So trying to convince herself of that.] And I noticed that...other cities were mentioned? But I don't see them on the map. And also, just... Anything of importance that may be good to know?

Oh, and my name means sunny place. And I have to confess, I've never really heard of the name 'Ted' before.

Heh, I wouldn't put it so faintly. Genessia City is very particular, as are they all. One grows accustomed, as with any strong and lively thing, by weathering its iconoclasm time and again. The other cities lie behind gates to the north, south, east, and west; where you are now is the hub for those four wild spokes.

As for something of importance...well, a fact about life, and a fact about death. I'll start with the darker latter.

Death has lost something of its sting, here. If worst comes to worst, one can come back, provided they tender an important skill or memory. Why this place accepts that currency, I do not know, but there you have it.

That currency can also buy what's called a "subarchway", or a seeming recreation of the home you remember. Under any circumstances, do not make the purchase. Such things are vile and hollow lies, and you may succumb to their evil. I wouldn't recommend going to anyone else's, either.

That's a lovely meaning. Heh, you needn't feel very sorry for not knowing my own; I sometimes wish I didn't. [Totally blanked on explaining that one, but it's pretty embarrassing.]

From what I have been told, there is a large amount of information that is left out of our initial introductions. But t he woman that created the introduction said that if you come to her company, you can obtain any and all information that they currently have on this place. [He could only imagine what there is to be completely learned about this place.]

I have started to become accustomed to the place by finding a job to keep my time occupied with something.

I saw that we are encouraged to get jobs. Um, but it isn't really clear as to how to go about doing that... [What are normal, non-fighting jobs that you have to apply for??]

[Actually curious. While she may be so used to being watched as a heiress to her own clan, she's pretty sure being 'just another person' would be odd.]

Hey there. Mmm...if there's any one thing that's important I guess, it'd be that you might not always be alone. Lots of people show up at random times, so just because you may or may not be the first from your world, doesn't mean the others won't show up later.

Other than that...finding a job is probably the most important. I've been here for several months, so it's important to keep a steady job and make yourself a life here, no matter how temporary it is.

[oh right, probably most important about that temporary life thing.]

You also don't lose any time here. If you're ever sent back somehow, you'll arrive back right where you left, so nothing will have happened in the meanwhile.

I suppose... that does make sense. It's a bit arrogant to believe that I--or anyone--could be the only person from their world.

[Not too sure on how she should feel about that. On one hand, she wouldn't mind seeing a couple of people here. On the other, not everyone from her world is exactly friendly, and she doesn't really want to wish this on anyone.]

And that is good to know, that time is... "Frozen", I guess. But, at the same time, doesn't that just mean no one will know we're missing?

Um, and someone has already mentioned the job part to me. And was kind enough to give me the address. I understand why it's a good idea, but it still seems... odd. To make a life here, while we still have one to go back to.

From what I've heard...you kind of tend to not remember ever being here either? Some people have disappeared only to return with no memories of this place, so I don't know how that all works.

Sasuke is keeping his distance, watching, but at least not trying to hide this time. She looks like she's from the Hyuuga clan, but not one he's ever seen before. Not that it's that unusual, but the fact that she seems at least the slightest bit familiar is what's throwing him off. It piques his interest, keeps him from ignoring her and instead has him paying attention. All so he can figure out just why it bothers him so much. ]

[While Hinata has keyed herself somewhat out of the battlefield mindset she had been in just that morning, it's been hard to completely separate herself from it entirely at the moment.

She can't be completely sure she's being followed, it's just a feeling she has in the back of her mind. Like someone's watching her. She doesn't dare use her Byakugan just yet, especially if she's just being super paranoid. It is a new city and she's a new resident after all. No, she thinks she'll keep that as her ace if she's not paranoid and actually is in danger. That's her one trump card: no one (or so she thinks) knows what she can do.

Instead she keeps window shopping, hoping that maybe her (imagined?) follower will slip up enough for her to get a glimpse. If not, once she gets close enough to the next intersection, she'll put a plan into motion.]

[ The fact that her headband isn't Konoha's is what is keeping Sasuke from approaching outright, but that's something they can figure out later. After all, Hinata isn't the only one fresh from a battlefield.

It's unnerving, wondering if she'll use her Byakugan to spot him, wondering exactly where he's safe. He's only had hearsay about what they can do after all, having never faced someone of the Hyuuga clan himself.

Sasuke is going to do his best to continue to remain elusive, waiting for an opportunity to confirm at least something about her. He doesn't know what yet, but he will when he does. Maybe. It's bugging him almost as much as the mystery of Kakashi's face ffs. ]

The only thing I can think of that isn't covered in the pamphlet is that death isn't really permanent here. There's consequences sure, but, people can come back. As for getting used to the place? Time mainly.

[robin had actually been looking for a place to eat herself when she had noticed hinata. the girl had a map in hand and she seemed to be a bit lost, so of course robin had to go up to her.]

[She starts, more at hearing someone speak toward her than at being caught off-guard.

Even still, she glances around her just to make sure she's the one being asked the question. She blushes as she realizes just how silly that may seem; she's really the only one around who seems lost.]

Ah, just... Perhaps a little. I've only arrived...here... today. So... [Yeah, she's still a little overwhelmed despite how much some people have helped her over the network.]
