So you say, but it also goes so high up into the air, so it may give a full view of the festival. Is there truly no appeal in that to you?

[ She smiles, nodding to him as she wheels forward a little more with the line's movement. ]

Well, I have never been to a festival such as this before. I wish to experience as much of it as I can, for better or worse.

It's not bad so far. Not really my thing, but I didn't want to stay home either.

[ She seems a little sheepish when she admits that, scratching her cheek before getting up out of the chair and balancing on her one leg for the moment. ]

[ Wordlessly, he shifts so he can grab her around the waist, slinging her arm over his shoulder. A brief moment later he unceremoniously hoists her up into his arms, walks a few feet and carefully puts her down on the seat. Then proceeds to sit down next to her. ]

When we get back off this thing, is there anything worth doing?

[ OKAY SHE COULD HAVE DONE WITHOUT HIM LIFTING HER

She can't help feeling flushed at that, not really having time to protest before it's over and he's sitting next to her. He's asking her a question, and it takes her a moment to answer. ]

I thought the roller coaster was interesting, but I was also thinking of seeing what sorts of games they have here.

Jean hums and leans against his side of the seat. ]

Roller coaster. That's the one that keeps making everyone scream, right?

[ It's easier to relax now that she's been put down at least, though she has to wonder if he's just going to do that again once they're done. ]

That is right. I was riding it earlier, and for such a simple concept it was exciting.

[ He snorts, part in some version of amusement and half "that sounds like bullshit". ]

You'd probably crap yourself with joy if you wore a 3dmg then.

[ He would be right in that assessment though. She is a total adrenaline junkie and the topic of conversation just became a lot more interesting to her. ]

Gear from my home that allows three-dimensional movement. If you've ever met a girl named Mikasa, she has one.

I am afraid I have not, but what do you mean when you say three-dimensional movement? I do not understand.

[ More and more curious. She needs to know why he's relating it to roller coasters though... ]

You don't need the ground to move, just hook onto a building and move around it in the air. Sometimes it makes you feel like you're flying.

[ There's a hint of a smile as he remembers what it's like to wear the gear. Riding that roller coaster would pale in comparison. ]

[ Jean can probably see her face practically lighting up, because yes that does in fact sound amazing to her. How would such a thing work, and where could it work. She thinks about it going through the tall buildings of Genessia and Nova City, and it feels so incredible. ]

It sounds incredible!

Yeah, but it's not recreational gear.

[ But that's all he'll say about that. Especially because it's making him remember where his gear was, in his old bedroom back in the flat with Eggsy and Armin. Jean's expression dims a little, but he tries his best to push the melancholic aside. ]

[ Why did his expression fall? Adela doesn't know, and she wants to ask... Still, she'll leave it alone for the moment.

Her eyes go back to the festival then as they come towards the top of the wheel, and she leans forward a little to look around. It's hard for her to not be mystified, as it just looks beautiful to her. ]

It is so bright... I have never seen anything like this before.

[ He feels mildly annoyed with himself for kicking her enthusiasm in the face, but instead of saying anything he follows her line of sight and looks down on the twinkling lights of the festival.

Yeah. Jean definitely agreed there. It was like a thousand twinkling stars had fallen to the ground and people walked among them. ]

Huh. Maybe that's the point of this stupid ride.

I think it is.

[ She kind of wishes he wouldn't call it stupid, but she's too enamoured with the sight to really care that much. A peaceful smile finds its way to her expression, and she just watches for the moment. It's all right if they don't talk anymore to her, though who knows if Jean feels the same way. ]
