[Sense? Where they're going, they don't need no sense.

Where Cloud is at least somewhat methodical in his toppings, Ibuki is paying no such attention. Berries mix with syrups mix with cinnamon and cream smothered in more syrups until it almost looks like there's more toppings than cake. Safe to say walking with this monstrosity is probably a bad idea.]

Maybe. But this way I'm not waiting until it's all cold and sad and not so tasty.

[Once they're both done, she starts to move away from the stall so other people can get to whatever toppings are still left. Though before she dives in, she feels they both need a fitting lead-in.]

Well! Happy nom-nom-nomming!

[Time to get messy and get her eat on.]

[Would you like some funnel cake with your toppings? Because that looks both disgusting and delicious all at the same time.

Except for the part with the cinnamon. You can keep that entirely to yourself.

It only takes him a few seconds longer, still trying to be relatively neat with his creation, although it's getting more and more difficult as time goes on. Maybe he actually should have gotten two. Taking a small stack of napkins, because neither of them are going to want to walk around with sticky syrup all over his face, he turns around just in time to hear her words.]

Nom nom nomming? [What did you even just say Ibuki?]

Ibuki originally invented it as a greeting for breakfast meetings, but since those aren't really a thing any more, I gotta figure out new meanings for it.

[Well. Not really a thing for her any more, at least. Which is all that really matters by Ibuki's standards.

At least she manages to mostly get her hair out of her face. Somehow, because she has a lot of it, but she doesn't want to add syrup colours to the rainbow already in her hair. Beyond that, they'll probably need those napkins because Ibuki's not being too careful in how she eats.

Based on the sounds she's making, at least she seems to be enjoying it.]

[Never in all of his life has he ever actually witnessed someone eat in the manner she is. It's actually kind of fascinating, in the same way trains wrecks are impossible to stop watching.

Silently, he'll slide half of the napkins towards her.]

Ibuki? Is that your name or something?

[As for him, he'll attempt to tear his into pieces, although all it really accomplishes is getting all of the toppings into a sloppy, although dunk-able pile near the center.

He really should have thought this through.]

[If Ibuki notices his fascination with the trainwreck that is her vs the funnel cake, she doesn't say anything. And chances are she probably hasn't; she only really notices the napkins because they're right in her space.

She at least does remember to swallow before replying to him, using the lull to wipe down her face even if she'll be a mess again the second she carries on.]

[Because names are a minor thing compared to the behemoth of a funnel cake she has.]

[Forget about regular napkins, this girl is definitely going to need some wet wipes at the rate she's going.]

Cloud Strife. [Since his little incident with Adela and her thinking he was talking about the weather instead of introducing himself, he's starting using his last name as well.

Because that makes it so much better, somehow.]

[At least he has a last name to make it better.

Though "better" is relative; his introduction makes her grin and she's never shy about sharing her more random thoughts.]

Like there's a battle up in the skies? Cloud-chan has such a cool name!

[Yes, she is now picturing clouds with little weapons locked in some sort of war...which she probably shouldn't think on too much for her own good.]
