[ Adela grunts when she feels someone bumping into the back of her chair -- that chair-handle has to hurt, jabbing the way it does. With surprise she looks over to see just what had happened, a little surprised before frowning a little. ]

Are you all right?

[ She won't apologize as he ran into her technically but... Well, she should at least make sure he didn't hurt himself. ]

[Simon did indeed whirl himself into the back of the wheelchair at the wrong angle, resulting in a jab of pain just along the hipbone. While he manages to clench his jaws and hiss through his teeth as opposed to outright swearing, he is cursing himself inwardly. That's going to leave a bruise.]

F-fine. I'm fine. [It's said with roughly the same conviction as someone who just stubbed their toe.]

Are you sure? That looked like it hurt...

[ Eek, she might actually feel a little guilty now. She frowns at him, turning carefully so that she can face him fully and get a better look. ]

[He takes a step back to give her more space as she turns, releasing a few deep breaths as if the pain will ride the air out of his body. Fffff that hurt something fierce.]

... I have no one to blame but myself.

[ She sighs, wanting to make sure beyond the shadow of a doubt but having a feeling that pursuing it any further would just be fruitless. Finally she lets her shoulders slump, rubbing the back of her head. ]

... Were you looking for something? Perhaps I could help you find it, if so.

[He's good now. Yyyup, he's got this. Time for a stoic deadpan expression.]

Ah, no, that is not the case. I was simply careless in my haste.

[ Adela seems a little embarrassed, wheeling backwards carefully so that Simon can get by her now. ]

I should allow you to be on your way, then...

[Simon doesn't often experience guilt, especially over everyday matters, but running into someone in a wheelchair sure seems to be an exception. He bows his head lightly as she moves backwards.]

It... is no trouble. There is nowhere in particular I need be. [Says the guy who was in a hurry. He's very good at making sense.]
