[This looked like fun at least and she was always liked to see what was around. So the young woman had been wondering around, looking to see what rides there was and see what she would be interested in. As she was getting closer to one in particular, she couldn't help but see the confused guy.]

You... must not understand what is going on.

[Caeli's ear feathers twitched, turning his attention to the woman.]

I'm familiar with carnivals, but I'm afraid I'm not entirely familiar with... these.

[He gestures towards one of the rollercoasters. Whatever it is, and whatever charm people see in them, he's convinced that his friend Mobius would probably love them and force him on one. Which therefore means in Caeli's mind that they're terrible.]

Oh, you are unsure about a roller coater?

[Belle knew what they were at least.]

They are rides. People go on them and have fun.

[He glances up at one of the coasters, frowning a little as it sped past.]

I can't quite grasp how any of those might be 'fun'.

[Granted, he was only used to going high speeds on a gryphon mount, but he could handle that. He doubts he'd have much fun on these things... and he didn't want to lose his hat. The hat was very important.]

I guess it's the adrenaline people get from them that make it fun.

[She hazard that as the guess, but didn't actually know, having not been on them herself.]

That rush of excitement.

I suppose that would make sense. Some individuals are very odd about that sort of thing.

[And by "odd" he really means "insane" but he'll keep it... less rude for now.]

A companion of mine from home would probably be drawn to these like a moth to a flame. And I'm sure he'd be just as reckless as a moth in that regard too.

[She smiled slightly, still standing there.]

They can be. I'm not that type I will admit. But... What was your home like?

My home was very much akin to this world's city of Fayren. It's a world where magic is commonplace, and if we choose not to travel of foot, we must rely on creature mounts.

[He rests his hands on his hips and hangs his head, glancing off towards the side.]

I have not been here long, but it is difficult to adjust to things in the other cities.

You'll get use to the other cities the longer you are here. I was grateful that I was use to at least three of them already.

[She figured that was an advantage of having lived in two worlds at least.]
