[She recognizes that voice and turns to face him with a half-smile, half-questioning look. But she's ignoring the 'cutie' remark--after all, how many times had Kiba teased her in a similar way?]

...There are free ride bracelets?

Yeah sure! These are freer than most. [five fingered discounts are the best] Want one? [tempt tempt]

[hyuuga]

[She's a little suspicious, picking up on that wording. But then, she doesn't ask about it.]

Um, I wouldn't...mind one. If you're offering.. [There's no catch, right???]

[orangeoutlaw]

Sure [hands her a blue one!] Wanna go to the haunted house with me?

[hyuuga]

[She takes the ticket and thinks about that for another second. It sounds harmless enough...]

I've...never been to one. But, um, sure?

[orangeoutlaw]

It's great. [he starts for it, hands in his pockets] Hey, you're Sasuke's friend, aren't you? [peer peer] Does that mean you're a nin... no Kunoichi?

[hyuuga]

You know Sasuke?

[She side-glances at him as she keeps up. That's a surprise to her. It's not exactly like he's ever been really social. And she almost frowns, but catches herself. She's still working on treating him like the kid he still is.]

And yes. Well, I... I don't really know how much anyone can be his friend. But we were classmates once.

[orangeoutlaw]

Wow that's cold. [he stands back] Why not? What you have a problem with him or something?

[hyuuga]

[She takes a step back from him; this is not a confrontation she's prepared for in the slightest.]

I... I only meant that--he's never... Sasuke, as far as I remember, he's never been... He's a lonely kid, but one who has always preferred it that way.

[orangeoutlaw]

[he snorts] Maybe. [Sasuke reminds him of him at that age a little. That's why]

Well forget it for now. [he's kinda mad about it but there's no use getting mad if he doesn't know the circumstances and freaking her out-- He tries to calm himself]

Hey since you're a kunoichi --- [no he wasn't going to ask because she might answer and then he wouldn't be in the mood to hear it]

Never mind. Still wanna go? [he nods to where the haunted house is]

[Sorry, Ace, but Sasuke is a bag of crazy to her and she's still trying to get over who he grows up to be and do to her friends herself.

But she knows she's offended or upset him in some way, she just can't put her finger on it. Maybe Sasuke exceeded her expectations and actually made a friend? But she does know she's soured this whole thing.

She looks at the ticket in her hand, then to Ace.]

...Maybe we shouldn't go today. Um, not like this.

[She bows and holds out the ticket for him. Since she doesn't entirely feel right having it now that she upset him.]

I'm sorry... for whatever it was that I said.

[orangeoutlaw]

Keep it. [shrug] It's nothing.

[it's probably a good idea anyway]
