Firefly Masquerade!

Who: Open to anyone who wants to attend
What: A Masquerade! Complete with masks, costumes, music and food.

[a field near the fairgrounds has been cleared away and set up into a tastefully decorated outdoor ball. There are balloons, trellises crawling with summer flowers and white holiday lights carved white chairs and tables, and a buffet table heavy with food. In the center is a beautiful wood dance floor in front of an amphitheater in which a small band complete with singer plays a variety of songs. Some instrumental, some not. Feel free to request or take the stage for yourself!

Dance the night away and at midnight get ready to pull of your masks and basks in the dazzling fireworks display bursting overhead.

Self-concerned was one way to put it. It wasn't the first time someone had suggested that she learn how switch off and relax into doing something fun.

The turns and twists of this new style of dancing were very new to Sonico, who would still occasionally trip over her feet or bump into Ted. By the time he asks how she's finding it, though, she is flushed and laughing. "This is really fun!"

Going by the way he dressed, Ted had already mastered the art of ignoring dignity. He took every stumbling good-naturedly, laughing and enjoying how the wallflower was blooming. "Hah, if you like this, just wait until you learn the depths of dancing. You'll be spinning like a top and being lifted into the heavens in no time." But that could come later, as the music stopped and they found themselves, literally and metaphorically, much further than they started.
