Event Log (Finding the Cure)
Welcome to Happy Heights!
Attleton's premier amusement park!
Or at least it used to be.
Attleton's mayor has mentioned the unfortunate only access point to the items needed to make the tonic that will cure the tragic sense-depriving infection that's going around. They'd thought the disease was gone, so they hadn't bothered to maintain the area, but the wells are Happy Heights are the only place that's still going down to the aquifer. They could drill down but-- well, they don't have time for that before the disease really sets into permanence! The number of freak incidences and the decrepit state of the theme park will make it difficult to maneuver, but they've notified the electric company to turn the power on so that people can navigate their way through the park in order to gather the ingredients to make the cure.
Unfortunately, since it's been so long since the park's been opened, rain water and nature have all but wiped the park's map into illegibility. You're on your own for exploration and it's time to find at least four wells from different parts of the park. There are many, but none are a walk in the park to get to! They used to be part of a collection game kids could play when they came into the park.
The mayor warns everyone that the cure is incredibly sensitive to sunlight and oxygenation from the atmosphere- by the time a person can get four, the first extracted water will have their bioluminescence diminished. (And going to that park in the dark... it's too dangerous, he wouldn't recommend it!) It probably won't make it out of the park, so drink it right away! Good luck!
OOC NOTES: There will be different areas listed for different flowers that have soaked into the wishing wells' aquifer. Each area will have a couple of different scenarios you can play out- you're responsible for playing them out and you're welcome to have a blast with whatever you want to do! If you don't want to play it out but you did play sensory deprivation, feel free to handwave your character getting a cure, but remember: If you manage to have at least four different threads with 10 comments from your character, your character will receive an Attleton Charm ICly and for 'exceptionally valiant efforts' in eliminating the disease. (3 month prize claim limit puts this prize available until Dec. 21st.) To claim a charm, click here. Good luck!
Don't forget: If your character tampers with any of the things that are set up to get access to wells except when stated, the ride may explode or collapse, cutting off the well. Pretty unstable park, you know.
If your character wants to explore more of the park than where the wells are, they're more than welcome to. Feel free to make your own thread if you just want to have your character playing on any rides or doing things that they want- get creative, have fun, but the only areas with wells are those listed.

Yang might recognize the voice. They hadn't had a lot of contact before but it was hard to forget someone who fell from the sky, crashed into your house, broke a walkway, and landed in the pool. Even if you were only hearing her voice now.
"Miss! That's really really dangerous. What are you doing?" And also there was lots of poking.

Stemming the desire to try and punch whoever decided to surprise her, the blonde clutches her chest lightly as she turns towards the person. "J-jeez! D-don't scare a blind girl like that!" She can't exactly tell who the person is though the voice is familiar.
"W-well... I'm trying to get to the bottom of the zipline. They said there was a well for the cure. Though I'm questioning the safety of this if it's as broken as it feels."
no subject
"You're right though that little tiny rope doesn't look safe. Do you have to ride the rope? Would it be okay if I just carried you? It's not as fast as sliding but I wont drop you. Humans are very light."
no subject
Despite being blind, Yang couldn't help but raise an eyebrow. She recalled Koishi being a rather small girl...though if she's a monstrous creature, that could explain being strong enough to carry her. "You sure you won't drop me? I don't want to be a Yang pancake."
no subject
She drifted around behind Yang, putting both hands on her shoulders so she knew where she was. What Yang probably didn't expect is feeling something winding around her waist, up her back, and over her shoulders then down either side of her chest. Likewise more wound around her legs and waist and- Koishi floated up and yang was lifted quite smoothly into the air. It was not unlike the harness actually. It kinda felt like she was sitting.
"See? I've got you just fine." Koishi seemed to actually be above Yang. "I'll follow the ropes all the way down. We're looking for a well, right? I bet we can find a well..."
no subject
The main problem is that winding around her, there were two hands on her shoulders already so...what was coiling around her?! "H-hey! What are you doing!?" If you're wanting her to hold still, you might want to reassure her of what's going on. Winding, coiling tentacle-like things are not in her plan on being lifted up and carried down.
And now she's being carried down. Okay...clinging to Koishi's arms now. "Uh...just...go slow okay?" Being carried by a somewhat unknown person who can apparently use tendrils of some kind. Right...That's perfectly fine right?
Maybe she should have used the harness instead.

"I've got you really secure and your center of gravity is balanced well so there's no chance you'll fall." This was true. The way Yang was being held felt very secure. Well, as secure as being in something without one's feet touching the ground. "The cable is to your right. If it would make you feel better you can reach out and touch it. We have a long ways to go though. Because I'm going so slow, really."
"But when we get there we'll get you started on the cure, okay? Being blind is hard." She spoke from experience.
no subject
As soon as the two reached solid ground, Yang hops forward a bit, wobbling to get her balance when she can't see before she straightens up. "Alright. So then...where are we going? I want to get to the well. Not fall right into it." Hopefully Koishi will lead by her hand and not...one of those tentacle things.
no subject
Eventually they did touch down, Koishi warning yang before the slack in the tentacles changed, setting the blonde down very gently on her feet. "We're here!" That doesn't help Koishi. "I don't see the well in the immediate area but we should look around some, okay? Do you know where it supposed to be?"
Fortunately a hand took Yang's own this time and not more tentacles. Koishi was ready to lead the way! What could possibly go wrong?
no subject
Taking Koishi's hand in hers, Yang shrugged as she followed after Koishi. "Don't ask me. I can't even see. I don't know what the well would even look like."
