Event Log (Finding the Cure)
Welcome to Happy Heights!
Attleton's premier amusement park!
Or at least it used to be.
Attleton's mayor has mentioned the unfortunate only access point to the items needed to make the tonic that will cure the tragic sense-depriving infection that's going around. They'd thought the disease was gone, so they hadn't bothered to maintain the area, but the wells are Happy Heights are the only place that's still going down to the aquifer. They could drill down but-- well, they don't have time for that before the disease really sets into permanence! The number of freak incidences and the decrepit state of the theme park will make it difficult to maneuver, but they've notified the electric company to turn the power on so that people can navigate their way through the park in order to gather the ingredients to make the cure.
Unfortunately, since it's been so long since the park's been opened, rain water and nature have all but wiped the park's map into illegibility. You're on your own for exploration and it's time to find at least four wells from different parts of the park. There are many, but none are a walk in the park to get to! They used to be part of a collection game kids could play when they came into the park.
The mayor warns everyone that the cure is incredibly sensitive to sunlight and oxygenation from the atmosphere- by the time a person can get four, the first extracted water will have their bioluminescence diminished. (And going to that park in the dark... it's too dangerous, he wouldn't recommend it!) It probably won't make it out of the park, so drink it right away! Good luck!
OOC NOTES: There will be different areas listed for different flowers that have soaked into the wishing wells' aquifer. Each area will have a couple of different scenarios you can play out- you're responsible for playing them out and you're welcome to have a blast with whatever you want to do! If you don't want to play it out but you did play sensory deprivation, feel free to handwave your character getting a cure, but remember: If you manage to have at least four different threads with 10 comments from your character, your character will receive an Attleton Charm ICly and for 'exceptionally valiant efforts' in eliminating the disease. (3 month prize claim limit puts this prize available until Dec. 21st.) To claim a charm, click here. Good luck!
Don't forget: If your character tampers with any of the things that are set up to get access to wells except when stated, the ride may explode or collapse, cutting off the well. Pretty unstable park, you know.
If your character wants to explore more of the park than where the wells are, they're more than welcome to. Feel free to make your own thread if you just want to have your character playing on any rides or doing things that they want- get creative, have fun, but the only areas with wells are those listed.

"Hm?" Well the way ahead looked clear, so the ground must be...gasp! The Serpent in the Garden got a lot fatter! Thankfully Abel was at the ready to strike its head before it got Ted's heel. Figuratively speaking. Ted was all too used to the sound of gunfire. How well he could handle a gun with unsteady hands was a mystery he thankfully wouldn't have to solve, now that the priest sent it to the hereafter. If anything could make him like Abel more, it'd be a peacekeeper.
"Goodness, seems you've managed to buy a cloak and a sword! Or something very near it. Well done! We might have to do some dragon-slaying and clear the path once we've found it. Thank you and bless you." Conveniently, the prize lay at the end of the path, marked by an inviting glow. This time Ted kept his eyes to the ground with a firearm of his own.

Abel puts the gun away and sighs in relief. "You're welcome. You would have done the same for me. Bless you too, Ted. Thank goodness you're all right."
And honestly, at this rate, with them working together as a team, Abel's opinion of Ted vastly improved since they last met. While with Katze's fiasco at Nova Ctiy and his carelessness of the citizen's safety there has greatly diminished a great deal.
At the end of the trail, there seem to be a lagoon or pond of some kind. It seems very...swampy to best put it. However, there's a lot of flowers near the water's edge. The flowers that is closer to the water is glowing, while the ones farther away are not.
"If this place is crocodile infested, along with many creatures, then I have mark this place as dangerous for normal people to approach and gather."
He noticed some...insects and mosquitos flying about.
"Ted, I don't think this water is safe to drink. I mean, why drink water that is home to the crocodiles? I know of another well you can drink from, that contains the same essence of this flower and it's much safer." Abel said, very fatherly. By that, it's from the aviary Abel won from his epic battle against the angry birds.

Just to join in on the killing, Ted would produce a sophisticated bug zapper he got from Nova City. "Watch this!" With a flick of a switch, tiny arcs of electricity would fry each and every pest. It even calibrated to avoid the helpful ones, like ladybugs, on the DNA level. Fancy! And perhaps doing untold ecological harm in the process, but who cares about that?
Further in, they would find a more formal source of water, which Ted could collect heedlessly. "Don't worry; I won't blame you if I contract yet another illness. There's many a doctor who can help besides. Thank you for your help as well; I'm glad your piracy was short-lived."

Abel watched him with curiously. "...? Oh what is that? Where did you get that?" It's a really interesting tool! And the bugs were zapped to their deaths. Bye bye bugs.
At Ted's explanation, Abel nodded, "Okay, let's explore further. And no I do not." Not like Abel needed anymore of water this rate, because he already drank all four and is cured. That's why he's not showing any illness, at least not anymore. He remained in the amusement park, however to be of help to those who in need of it. The volunteers to help cure the park is few.
"You're welcome Ted." Abel kneeled at the water to have a taste test. Hmm, taste like the same one he found at the Aviary, so Abel made a note of it, and documented it on his phone for reference of the well's location and it's essence.
After Ted collected the water and tasted some, "How are you feeling? Did you feel the water have some effect on you?"

He shook his still very insensitive head. "Nothing yet. Suppose it'll only work when all are gathered." He looked ahead; looks like they're going back out the way they came. "Suppose we're due for another soaking, if we want an exit. There are two yet to find, if the legends hold water. For the sake of held water, I must continue the quest. You'll do the same, I expect?"
no subject
"Of course. I won't rest until everyone is cured and saved." Anyway, by now they are walking outside back to where the bumper cars are, as there is nothing to see here in the lagoon.
Smiling brightly as they are outside, "You'll be okay from here Ted?"
no subject
"Oh, I can't possibly answer that in the affirmative. It tempts fate too much. It's better, I think, to command my welfare yourself, by saying something like 'go under the Omnipotence', rather than ask my own person. Yes, ordered welfare, not inquired farewell. Of course, you too, Abel." He waved and then walked out, tripping again.
He'll probably be okay.
no subject
"All right, I'll see you around, Ted."
With a wave, Abel goes in the opposite direction, covering more ground to another area of the park that Abel haven't discovered and explored yet.
