Event Log (Finding the Cure)
Welcome to Happy Heights!
Attleton's premier amusement park!
Or at least it used to be.
Attleton's mayor has mentioned the unfortunate only access point to the items needed to make the tonic that will cure the tragic sense-depriving infection that's going around. They'd thought the disease was gone, so they hadn't bothered to maintain the area, but the wells are Happy Heights are the only place that's still going down to the aquifer. They could drill down but-- well, they don't have time for that before the disease really sets into permanence! The number of freak incidences and the decrepit state of the theme park will make it difficult to maneuver, but they've notified the electric company to turn the power on so that people can navigate their way through the park in order to gather the ingredients to make the cure.
Unfortunately, since it's been so long since the park's been opened, rain water and nature have all but wiped the park's map into illegibility. You're on your own for exploration and it's time to find at least four wells from different parts of the park. There are many, but none are a walk in the park to get to! They used to be part of a collection game kids could play when they came into the park.
The mayor warns everyone that the cure is incredibly sensitive to sunlight and oxygenation from the atmosphere- by the time a person can get four, the first extracted water will have their bioluminescence diminished. (And going to that park in the dark... it's too dangerous, he wouldn't recommend it!) It probably won't make it out of the park, so drink it right away! Good luck!
OOC NOTES: There will be different areas listed for different flowers that have soaked into the wishing wells' aquifer. Each area will have a couple of different scenarios you can play out- you're responsible for playing them out and you're welcome to have a blast with whatever you want to do! If you don't want to play it out but you did play sensory deprivation, feel free to handwave your character getting a cure, but remember: If you manage to have at least four different threads with 10 comments from your character, your character will receive an Attleton Charm ICly and for 'exceptionally valiant efforts' in eliminating the disease. (3 month prize claim limit puts this prize available until Dec. 21st.) To claim a charm, click here. Good luck!
Don't forget: If your character tampers with any of the things that are set up to get access to wells except when stated, the ride may explode or collapse, cutting off the well. Pretty unstable park, you know.
If your character wants to explore more of the park than where the wells are, they're more than welcome to. Feel free to make your own thread if you just want to have your character playing on any rides or doing things that they want- get creative, have fun, but the only areas with wells are those listed.

[Ibuki goes to investigate the other animatronics more closely for herself, as though she knows how they looked originally.]
Hmm. But how do we know what's missing on purpose and what's missing because they're old?
[Who knows, but Ibuki's soon off the stage and starting to poke around in the dark. And then she has a brainwave, for once: she brings out her communicator to act as an impromptu flashlight.]
All right. Ibuki's going a-hunting!
no subject
Maybe the way they are position. Like...That one. [She pointed to the one with the extremely worn bib.]
It looks like they were holding something by the way there hand was positioned.
[She nodded slightly, taking a moment to notice what the other was going. A small smile spreads across her face.]
That's a good idea, Mioda-san. [Gets out her own communicator before she starts to look around, looking at any nook and cranny one might not normally look for. Kneeling down, she thought she saw something.]
Hav you seen anything out of place yet?
no subject
Even if it's not for the right reasons.
Soon she spots something that seems to have found its way under a table - which she only fully appreciates when she lifts her head to talk to Chiaki and is cut off by the dull thud of her hitting her head against something.]
Ibuki found a table that doesn't like her. And maybe something else.
[She shuffles back more carefully this time, holding over her head a discoloured plate of a plastic something that might once have been a burger.]
Though Ibuki's pretty sure she doesn't want this for lunch.
no subject
I wouldn't want that for lunch either. But it looks like something one of the originals might have been holding.
[She went back over to start checking the hands of them, seeing which one might have fit the bill before going back.]
'Okay I think you need to hand it to the one with the bib.'
no subject
[Ibuki picks her way towards the stage, trying not to trip over anything or crush anything underfoot that might be something crucial to the puzzle. Soon enough, the goose has its burger back...and Ibuki, apparently, discovers a question.]
Seems pretty cruel to make a bird hold a burger that might have been one of its friends once. That's almost Monokuma-chan cruel.
[If not worse, given that at least as far as she remembers, none of them had been made to eat Teruteru.]
no subject
[Not that she would really know anyway. But she knew she wasn't at least made to eat anyone. That was always a good thing no matter what.]
'But that is one down... three more to go... or was it two?'
no subject
[Since he's separate from the rest, Ibuki figures he might be separate to the puzzle as well. On the other hand, if he looks like he's missing something too then they've got an extra something to find.]
Ibuki is going to issue a complaint to whoever made this game. We're not even getting any clues.
no subject
[But for the most part there is something, even if some gamers don't like that type of thing sometimes.]
'But sometimes that only works when you can't figure it out for a set time. So tell me what looks like it's missing. Like is there a space of the torso, head... or another area?'
no subject
[Looking closely at the donkey, Ibuki eventually comes across an apparent void that looks less dusty and grimy than the rest.]
I think Donkey-chan is missing something from his ear. Can't quite make out what but it looks like something should have been there once upon a time.
no subject
[And she starts to move to take a look around.]
Okay... So... What about this.
[She moves to hold up something, she wondered if now was a good time to lose all ability to feel anything, otherwise it would be awful.]
Unless...it's for another. It might be too big for an ear.
no subject
[Oh wait a moment, Ibuki's just stepped on something in the process of stepping back. And that something appears to be a very rusty and on the brink of falling apart hook.]
Well. This must be Pirate-chan's so unless there's something else hiding somewhere, it's a better bet that thing's for Donkey-chan.
no subject
There we go...I think we are close to being done.
no subject
[There's definitely a certain charm to it, though probably more so back when it had been brand new.
She goes to reunite the pirate with his hook, before moving to look at the last animatronic.]
Hmm. Ibuki's pretty sure she hasn't seen anything else that would fit. Maybe it's hidden in another room.
[Which is all the indication Chiaki's getting that Ibuki is about to venture further into the unknown.]
no subject
[She would have to think of the what as she doesn't have an idea right at the moment. Nodding Chiaki had started to go see the other rooms and s she stepped in, she felt like it had been worse in there than the previous room.]
It... smells really bad in here.
no subject
[Well, she'll just have to make the most of things while they last.
And oh geez Chiaki was not kidding about the smell; Ibuki actually has to take a step back before she throws up.]
Oh man. Why would they make us need something from in here? That's just cruel.
no subject
[It was probably the latter if she had to be fully honest with herself, but after covering up her nose with a hand she stepped back. Trying her best to searching around, her sense of touch still lacking and making harder to feel what was there, but at least for sight it gave her an idea.]
Okay... I think I must be touching what we might need.
no subject
[Ibuki doesn't really want to touch or see or smell anything in here; she figures it's as much a blessing as anything else that Chiaki at least only has to deal with two of the three.
But hey, what she's holding looks right and Ibuki's keen to get out of this room so she'll go for optimism here.]
Let's go try it out. And hope there's nothing else.
no subject
Let's check.
[She was quick to go and test it out and it wasn't long until she placed it on. It was the right now. It was enough for her to smile slightly.]
We did it. We got them all... I think.
no subject
[Ibuki's going to take the time for a little celebratory dance.
And then...]
So...what now?
no subject
[It was as she said that she was sure she heard something. Turning her head she looked off into the shadows, a slight frown on her face. That was odd.]
Unless we missed something.
no subject
[Even as she speaks, Ibuki's doing a little more poking around...and oh hey she's found the spare room.]
EEEEEEK! Looks like there's been a mascot massacre here!
[It's not even close to a massacre but disembodied mascot is still kind of disturbing.]
no subject
I think it's just one, but they must have been broken or something and someone had tried to fix them.
no subject
[Ibuki's not sure it can in any way be called fixed. Still...]
Uh...we don't have to finish the job do we? Kazuichi-chan's not here and Ibuki doesn't think she knows enough to manage.
no subject
[She paused for a moment.]
No, they wouldn't make us do something this hard. I mean everything else has been easier to figure out.
no subject
[And kind of dangerous, honestly, but she's trying not to think of that just in case that is the key to them finding the well.]
