Attleton's premier amusement park!

Or at least it used to be.

Attleton's mayor has mentioned the unfortunate only access point to the items needed to make the tonic that will cure the tragic sense-depriving infection that's going around. They'd thought the disease was gone, so they hadn't bothered to maintain the area, but the wells are Happy Heights are the only place that's still going down to the aquifer. They could drill down but-- well, they don't have time for that before the disease really sets into permanence! The number of freak incidences and the decrepit state of the theme park will make it difficult to maneuver, but they've notified the electric company to turn the power on so that people can navigate their way through the park in order to gather the ingredients to make the cure.

Unfortunately, since it's been so long since the park's been opened, rain water and nature have all but wiped the park's map into illegibility. You're on your own for exploration and it's time to find at least four wells from different parts of the park. There are many, but none are a walk in the park to get to! They used to be part of a collection game kids could play when they came into the park.

The mayor warns everyone that the cure is incredibly sensitive to sunlight and oxygenation from the atmosphere- by the time a person can get four, the first extracted water will have their bioluminescence diminished. (And going to that park in the dark... it's too dangerous, he wouldn't recommend it!) It probably won't make it out of the park, so drink it right away! Good luck!

OOC NOTES: There will be different areas listed for different flowers that have soaked into the wishing wells' aquifer. Each area will have a couple of different scenarios you can play out- you're responsible for playing them out and you're welcome to have a blast with whatever you want to do! If you don't want to play it out but you did play sensory deprivation, feel free to handwave your character getting a cure, but remember: If you manage to have at least four different threads with 10 comments from your character, your character will receive an Attleton Charm ICly and for 'exceptionally valiant efforts' in eliminating the disease. Don't forget: If your character tampers with any of the things that are set up to get access to wells except when stated, the ride may explode or collapse, cutting off the well. Pretty unstable park, you know.

If your character wants to explore more of the park than where the wells are, they're more than welcome to. Feel free to make your own thread if you just want to have your character playing on any rides or doing things that they want- get creative, have fun, but the only areas with wells are those listed.

Can't hear y', man. But if yer jawin' at me, means y' can hear me, so that's cool. Text me shit, yeah?

[Namur shows his communicator, his number already pre-typed on the display. It's like he's done this before.]

"Hm, you can't hear me?" Ah fine. Jade learns to be patient with people during his adventure.

[Jade took out his phone and send him a text. He took a long time to type, but his explanation is a lot.]

"My name is Jade. I'm checking the mechanism to see if it's safe. Forgive me for asking, but how much do you weight? The cable might be old and weak to carry you and that's unsafe. You can fall and get hurt."

[Namur pulls a face, walking over to the edge of the platform and looking down.]

Yeaaaah, this ain't high 'nuff t' twist my ankle if I fall. More concerned 'bout jus' makin' the damn thing work. 'Parently y' can't jus' jump down there an' get t' the well, y' gotta actually ride an' there ain't no way in hell I'm fittin' in one a them li'l halters. Weigh a shitton a badass, 's all y' gotta know. Sheheheh!

[Jade walked around him in a slow circle, trying to size him up, analyzing. He typed again on the phone.]

"Give or take, you weight around 185 to 230 lbs, and not a ton. It should be all right, but I have to strap you on tightly with the harness. So, it should be all right."

[Putting his phone back in his pocket, Jade takes one of the fairy winged harness, and he gestured to Namur to come closer, so he can put it on him.]

[Namur snorts. He's closer to weighing an actual ton than Jade realizes. And strictly speaking, even just looking at it, there's no way the harness is going to stretch across the entirety of Namur's back. He has to go through doors sideways to get one shoulder through, then pivot to get the other shoulder through before letting his dorsal fin trail behind. It's not a physical possibility.]

How 'bout we jus' stick that shit on you, an' I'll jump down after y'.

Jade smiled and puts up a hand, as if saying, "All right, all right calm down. I made a mistake." And he lets go of the harness and give up his efforts, and took the harness off as it can't fit around Namur.

Whipping out his phone to type again.

"Ok, I made a mistake. You just have to go down the hill by taking another path to the well, but it's a steep climb down."

So I saw. But it'll be fine. Question is, will that shitty li'l halter thing even fit on you? Cuz the well won't open 'less one a us uses the zipline, or we gotta figure out how t' trick the damn machine.

[Namur reaches up and gives the zipline a tug.

He doesn't hear the ripping sound as the line frays.]

Jade nodded to him. "I think it would." He's less than 200lbs, that's for sure, so the strap would hold.

Jade volunteered himself to go, as he begins putting on the harness and lock in the strap for himself, making sure it's tight and secure, while Namur is testing the strength of the line.

[Namur finishes tugging, satisfied that the thing has at least enough tension to keep the smaller human aloft.]

Can hook that thing up on yer own, right? Or y' need me t' clip y' on?

[Jade gives a nob and a thumbs up, and then gesturing his thumb an ok.

But he typed in the phone quickly, and then put the phone back in one of his coat pockets inside of his military coat.]
