[3rd artes:] [Event:] Finding the cure quest in Attleton // locked to
replicascion
Who: Jade and Luke
What: Jade brings Luke to the amusement park for his healing and to save the rest of the town to be awesome heroes for the win
When: Event week
Where: Attleton
Jade explored the amusement park searching the wells on the first day. He managed to find a few, but they were so sparsely spread out, that he probably couldn't find them all on the first trek. At the end of the day, he went back to the inn in Fayren where he stayed with Luke.
However, he did documented some of the hidden well's locations on his phone for reference. He had a hunch that there are some wells cleverely well hidden throughout the park that hasn't been discovered.
On the second day, he brought Luke to the park with him to start yet another trek to discover and search more of the hidden wells.

"A lot is different here."
He stayed close as he tried to discern his surroundings in the lower light of the treasure room.
no subject
In the treasure room, there is many fake gold coins with the paint being peeled off, treasure chests being littered, and a broken down animatronic dragon guarding the treasure.
Jade lead Luke to the well. "Here we are. Have a drink." Jade used the key to put into the padlock of the well's cover and open it. Jade lift the cover, and there is still a bioluminescence glow in the water's depth. Meaning not much people discover it.
"Go ahead and have a drink. It might be on a bitter side."
no subject
The taste was a bit bitter and the face he made upon drinking it showed that. He didn't even dare ask what was in the water as he honestly didn't want to know.
"They could have at least made it taste decent..."
no subject
Jade observed Luke curiously.
"Do you feel any better, any different?" If not, they have to search for more wells.
no subject
And there was the kid part of Luke coming out. Honestly he'd prefer sweet over anything.
He waited for a but there was really no change in his sight and he rubbed at his eyes a bit.
"Nothing...."
no subject
"It has to do with the flower's medicinal properties in the water. Hm, nothing? You need to drink from more healing wells, I think. If you still can't see anything, then it wouldn't be fun for you to ride your first roller coaster. Riding the roller coaster wouldn't be fun with a blurred vision."
no subject
As for not being able to see anything on the roller coaster he supposed Jade was right on that.
"So how do we find more of these wells?"
no subject
Putting the key back in his pocket, he brought out his phone and checked it, reading the network for any posts.
"There is a well by an old diner. Let's go to that."
And Jade is heading his way out the door...not without holding Luke's hand to lead him through the messy treasure room out of the door to the outside. It was awfully cluttered with treasure chests blocking the way. Nobody has looked after this part of the place for a long time.
Once outside, which he let's go of Luke's hand, "All right, just follow me." And they walked outside the castle and back on the path to go to the other areas of the park.
no subject
Once on the path he was a bit slower going but managed to keep up well enough, only tripping a few times.
"How many people did this happen to?"
no subject
"Quite many, but for the civilians of this city, the whole town. So it's imperative to find as many wells as possible."
They walked slowly until the reach the said diner with the title "Cafe Royale".
"It should be here. But I don't see it anywhere." Jade said as he peered into the broken dingy stained window of the diner. Is there a game or ride involved?
"Maybe we have to go inside." Though it's hard to see what is inside due to being all the windows of the diner so dirty.
no subject
"So just for amusement this place caused this to happen to so many...."
He was not amused in the slightest.
no subject
With a deep breath, Jade opened the door to diner and stepped in.
Only to be greeted with a dank, stale stench, a smell of abandonment, oily grease, dust, and a rotting smell in the stale air. It was a diner back in the day, but now it's dirty and cluttered. The rotting smell comes from the fridge in the kitchen. Mold grow in corners of the ceiling, and the walls are stained green and yellow. Roaches have gathered at the corner where people used to eat, and behind the counter, mice and rats skittered in and out of the kitchen from their hiding holes on the walls.
The only thing working is the dangling light from the crack bulb and a blinking T.V monitor at the corner, where at the corner of the t.v is a white light by 3 inches, but the rest of the screen is working correctly.
"Let's go check the T.V. I think something is on it."
no subject
"Damn...what the hell died in here?"
He held his hand over his nose as he tried to look around, though he was probably appreciative of the fact that he couldn't see the full state of the place.
At Jade's suggestion he nodded as he followed him to the odd tv. Why it was still working in such a place was beyond him.
no subject
Poor Luke, but hey we have to endure this like heroes.
"Probably this town's spirit." Jade remarked, coughing a bit as he tries to adjust to the stench, but nope. Awful. Yep, sarcasm.
Coming closer to the T.V, Jade inspect the machine, and found four remotes. "What is this for?" Jade picked up one remote and aimed at the T.V. The remote is slightly less sensitive, but still working, and what is left working on the T.V screen is a quiz-type game.
"Oh, I see. So we have to play this game."
Because Luke is blind, Jade has to read out the questions of each quiz and its choices.
1) "In the children's book series, where is Paddington Bear originally from?"
* India
* Peru
* Canada
* Iceland
2) "Nephelococcygia is the practice of doing what?"
* Finding shapes in the clouds
* Breaking glass with your voice
* Swimming in freezing water
* Sleeping with your eyes open
3) "Which of the following men does not have a chemical named after him?"
* Albert Einstein
* Niels Bohr
* Isaac Newton
* Enrico Fermi
4) "Which of these ships was not one of the three taken over by the Colonists during the Boston Tea party?
* Eleanor
* Dartmouth
* Beaver
* William
5) "Now used to describe a cat, the word "Tabby" is derived from the name of what world capital?
* Baghdad
* Cairo
* Moscow
* New Delhi
"...Hm. Well, well."
That's the first five questions of the quiz that Jade flipped through with the remote. There is perhaps thousand question within the T.V monitor's memory.
"Sooo. Luke, do you have any idea what the answer is?"
Why did Jade asked him, Jade is the genius here or perhaps he's only teasing Luke to see if Luke wants to play along.
no subject
He felt even more useless. He didn't know a single answer.
"You're the smart one why are you asking me?"
no subject
"Just checking. You might know something."
Unfortunately, most of the questions are Earth-based questions, as Jade and Luke came from another world. So none of their knowledge applies.
So Jade just randomly answered to most questions out of the thousands...which will take about 20 minutes, and when he got 10 questions right out of 1,000, a door in the back opens!
"Did you hear that? I think something has opened."
Jade went to check it out, (avoiding the huge sized bugs on the floor of course) and peered at the door.
"Luke, there's a courtyard here. And a well. Come over here."
no subject
He resigned himself to wait as Jade worked on getting enough answers right to open whatever it was that clicked in the back.
As for the huge bugs, Luke wasn't so lucky in avoiding them as he could hear a few crunch under his shoes when he followed Jade.
"That seemed a bit to easy."
no subject
But it gets better once they exit out the doorr. They are greeted by fresh air, the scent of trees, and a courtyard with a variety of colored flowers, but with weeds overgrown.
And of course, the well is situated and tucked away in the garden. Jade lifted the cover off the well and there's a healthy luminescence glow from the bottom of the well.
"Okay, drink from here. This one has the flower's essence in it."
no subject
Once the top was off he once again drank the bitter water though he was at least expecting the taste this time.
He waited a bit with still very little change...maybe just a slight difference in the blurriness.
"Tch...this is annoying."
no subject
"How do you feel? Anything different?" Perhaps, a significant change, but not much. There's more wells to drink containing different types of flowers. Jade have heard there is four different types.
no subject
"A little better."
He moved to take a bit more hoping that maybe he could get full vision back.
no subject
"That's good." Jade is genuinely relieved, though not showing it much.
"That means, we have to go find some more wells. I know a few more, if you follow me."
That means going through the diner and out back to the path again.
