[Video, then Action] Can I get an "amen"?

[OOC: This is the log for the Demon Days bounty. Ultimately he'll go with Marc Spector, but feel free to chat him up about one of his favorite subjects anyway.]

Say, who among you all has piety about you?

More to the point, would you be willing--in the manner befitting any worthy religion--to be savagely beaten for it?

O-Oh. Okay!

[At least it seemed like he answered well enough.

With all of that figured out, he just waited patiently. The inn wasn't huge or anything and the owners knew him plenty well, so it wouldn't be hard to find him.

Since his room was so small and didn't even have a table or a second chair, he decided to go out and wait in the small dining room to wait. It was pretty rustic - wood tables, wood chairs, only about five tables total - but it was homey and nice. And would make it really quick to spot him.]

[And indeed, about an hour later, there's a knock at his door.

There would be Cassian with a neatly wrapped box, smelling of... cake and icing, instead of herbs for once
]

Since ye seemed undecided, I got marble cake. Bit o' both.

[They did have some privacy, with the unusual timing and smallness of the inn. No one else was there to eat at the moment, and he was even able to greet him at the door.

It seemed like he'd recovered in that time. It took a little bit, but Cassian had said it was all right, and he believed him. Now, he was just happy to see him there, even a little antsy.]

H-Hi!

[He opened the door for him and closed it to block the chill outside. At least inside it was warm and comfortable. And, if there were any worries about him deciding on marble - which there probably wasn't...]

Th-That sounds really good.

[He led him over to a seat by the fireplace, pulling out a chair for him before sitting down himself, hands neatly folded on his lap.]

H-How come you decided to... to make a cake?

[No, he still hadn't picked up on it. It was a little too subtle for him to read into it.]
